thanks for taking off the side plates, that was useful - I'm doing a build on the frame atm, and I was wondering if I'm missing something about the power cables and the air unit - was hoping for something smarter than just squeezing it in, but I guess that's what they do aswell
Looks like the 5mm shaft version is new of those motors. I have built a quad with the T mount version using the Flyfish Volador frame, same props and O3 which ended up being 240g dry and 386g with 6S 850mah battery. It was overpowered and really loud, so much so that I barely flew it as my lighter 3.5" were so much quieter and flew similar. This is even 25% heavier, not sure if there is really a place for this size. I might be more interested in the 4.2" version, but it seems weird they ship them with 4" props and I don't know of any 4.2" being available. Guess there is hope they will release some 4.2" for this soon? But then 2650kv are kind of extreme.
You did some building and tests man. I can confirm what you said. The 4.2" version is a 4" version with gemfan 4023 props. Same motors. They should perform very similar. The 4" is slightliy bigger but has less pitch. 2105 is overpowered for 3630 props. These motors are usually t mount version from geprc. They are all made by rcinpower. So same as rcinpower 2105 plus and even foxeer 2105.5 A 2004 motor and 220g dry weight quad similar to this would have been great, but this is too heavy and overpowered for 3.6" Have a look at the amax f4mini frame and their 2005 2200kv motors. Hq 4x3x3V2 props best match. Not sub250 but the best 4" you can build. You just need to make a tpu mount for the o3
@@chrisbee5481 I just built an aos 3.5 with 2105 size motors running 6s and it's glorious. I also have the manta 3.6 and it's also glorious, i'll never understand all the crying about weight that happens in the comments every single time a drone is released. 😱
@@BeautyBeastRC I hope you dont crash your Aos very hard. Last time I build my aos 3.5 with big motors and battery, the arms just broke. Was not desined to be 500g AUW. I like powerful builds too, but if you still keep it as light as possible, it flys amazing. Everything is a power to weight balance
@@chrisbee5481 I've only crashed it twice so far and once was a fall from pretty high up but it hasn't broken yet. The frame does feel fragile though if i'm being honest. Thankfully I'm a little under 500 AUW, I'm at 440 with a 1000 mah lipo. I also have a manta 3.6 inch and it's noticeably heavier but also feels a helluva lot more durable. I'm happy enough with my aos 3.5 though as the goal was to make it lighter than the manta 3.6 and I did that by like 40-50 gram or so iirc.
Great review Justin. Really like the the looks of this quad, especially with the changeable side plates. Will be looking forward to some more flights with this quad.
Hi, thanks for the great video. Imagine some kind of DIY prop guard on this frame that's easy to put on and remove. In this way one could have a freestyle drone and kind of a cinewhoop in one. I know that the "do it all drone" does not exist but would you prefer this compromise about let's say the cinelog 35?
Hey Justin, Yes ! I love GepRC. Yep I switched from crossfire to ELRS for a couple of reasons. I still have a few crossfire quads, but if the receiver was to die, I would replace it with a ELRS receiver. OK, let's see what you think have. WoW not bad, it's got a little punch to it. Unfortunately the DoMain doesn't come in a analog version. Thanks for the video and information about this quad.
Hey Justin! Great review! I'm looking for a new quad. I've had my eye on this one and the Axis Manta 3.6. Do you think there will be a performance difference between the GepRC DoMain 3.6 and the 4.2" version? Would the bigger props with those motors have a better flight time?
I was thinking that too but haven't seen any reviews for the 4.2". Overall were you impressed with the quad? I built an AOS 3.5 running geprc 1804s and I get avg 10 mins flight in a 6s 850mah.
@@dronecamps - wouldn't that fly better having larger props and about the same weight? Or is there an advantage in being smaller? Why did you choose the 3.6 inch for example?
Hmm it look like a mini Helion that's cool but I feel the Volador 3.5 is still the way to go. Very curious how those motors do with only a 3.5 prop seems like a bit much. Thanks for showing us the drone!
WOW Domain-O-mite! That is fierce looking and song was on point. My issue with dead cat style is when I'm slicing my pizza. Camera hitting first isn't working well. Looking back in 2033 JD, which do you think was the Best Pizza Ripper Drone? Can we expect other tests such as a paper cup full of coffee? These are real indoor conditions we face!
That frame is Dope! Hope they sell it by itself soon. Sick motors. Heck if they made this a 4” version, take all my money!! 2105.5’s perfect 4” screamer. Great video!
So how can smaller motors but really high kv run 6s? If i use 2207 and 2650kv motors on 6s theyd fry right? I thought the max kv for 6s is around 2050-2080
Thanks Justin. Do you think this has anything on the Babyhawk2 or the Smart35? Those are both sub250 and the BH2 has shown to get 10-20 minute flight as well as freestyle depending on battery and flight style. What does the 3.6” do well?
I flew kinda hard, so the flight was only like 4 1/2 minutes on a success 1300 mah. But I think I could get much more if I put a success 1550 on it and I’m interested to experiment with a Lion battery it will fly with one.
Really excited about this release. My experience has been solely on cinebto30 and I'm deciding either 3.6"or 4.2" for upgrade, for freestyle. Which one would you suggest? BTW, may I know the top speed and max flight time you got there for this 3.6"?
@griffey11 from geprc website, it says larger frame & prop while everything else is the same. So i just don't know which one to go for? Larger prop faster but shorter flight time? Or short prop slower but longer flight time?
Thanks for the great review. Axis Flying also has a very similar 3.6 freestyle quad. Any chance we could get a comparison video?
I sent Axis a message. Waiting for them to come around.
Like that Spot... I still remember you lost your eachine Nano lr3 threre...

So, the 3.6 or 4"? Which version do you think is better?
Go bigger 👍🏻
Flight time with the 1200?

Analog version should be coming, I see it mentioned on product page 👍
how much weights the side covers? its possible to reduce weight for a sub250?

The larger one should have a little more flight time and be a little smoother

same same.

There is no screw on the GoPro Mount?!?! How is it then attached? Thanks also for a screw nut
It’s in the hardware bag
These Domain or the Nazgûl F4?

Awesome video sir! How is it compare to nazgul f5 v2 in terms of speed and freestyle?

Great video!
well there is a 4.2´´ version too, just saying :)
What is that music track 4:07
Is it fast??
Which GepRc GPS does it take? IS that the M10 mount or M10 Nano mount in the box?
M10

On a 5" prop yes.
But 3.6" props have half the disc area. So you can use higher kv to spin them faster.
Motors burn when you overprop them.
@chrisbee5481 thank you, that's interesting but makes sense
Any chance your reviewing the geprc mark4 lr8? Or is it just the lr7 with bigger props?
We have the Mark4 7” here

sounds like a rapper i know from the uk named hazardous concepts, dope flight fa sho
CRSF all day 👊🏻
it has Cybertruck look vibe going on :)
It does 😂😂😂

I purchased this model and I have no experience in configuring it in betaflight 😅
Could you? Hypothetically put arms for a 5in freestyle on this frame? 🤓
Yes I guess? 😛
Great review! I look forward to seeing how the feedbacks come in over the next couple of months. I might have to get one 😅
hey buddy, hope you had a nice christmas.. a 6s 1200 on a 3.6.. dude, thats some crazy ship..
I think it will be my favorite drone in the future. Because it looks like a buggy remote control car
It kinda does. 🤣
That looks like a handful of fire.
I like it, I like it a lot.
Nice, but it looks so much like the Armor 5 frame
4K uploads when??
Hi
Many thanks for the video Justin, I have got myself one Domain but the 4.2 version
It looks great.🤗
Enjoy it
