so happy to see Vistara progress. I have been traveling in Vistara for 5 years now and it has never disappointed me. Love Vistara and thank you for the honest review.
After watching the video, my hopes are up for Air India. Still even vistara could do better. This video is the benchmark for reviews. The mild music was really nice. All points are checked. Thank you for visiting India and reviewing Indian carriers and we in India welcome you to be part of the journey of change that India is undergoing.
Air India has a long long way to go. My wife took a San Fransisco - Delhi flight recently. Worst flight ever. 4 hour delay, chaos, and no water the last 4 hours of the flight. Broken seats and poor service. Return flight was canceled 2 days before departure. AI customer service non-existent. Booked her back on Singapore Air business class. And THAT is a benchmark of travel and service. Air India is a long way off. Too many issues to fix, and the culture really needs a complete revamp. I hope they get there soon, but they have to acknowledge that the current AI product is poor. I wish we had Vistara flying to the US.
@AmitSingh-hj2ee You answered your own comment there when you acknowledged that SQ is the benchmark. SQ would not be putting their name all over the new AI if they weren't confident in the plan that Tata and themselves had in the works. It's unreasonable to expect an airline that has deeply rooted hard product, soft product and operational issues to change overnight. It will take time, years perhaps- and that's ok.
@@tfft I have no doubt the AI product will be vastly improved in a few years. The problem right now is that AI has tried to ramp up very quickly esp to the US. They still charge a premium for the non stop connections without the service required to keep up with SQ and EK etc. I emailed their CEO and to his credit, he responded acknowledging that they are going to cut back on flights because of crew and pilot issues. I was hoping that a year is long enough to start a culture change but still a long way away. Rot has set in and it will take time. They can start with acknowledging that. But it can be done. Your vistaar video is proof. Excellent videos and I will keep watching. Thanks

I have traveled this route 2 times and honestly I think this is one of the best flight experience. I have traveled in many airlines and even in Emirates a380 too, But I have to say that Vistara is doing so good on their international routes especially Paris and Frankfurt, I know Vistara sometimes sucks on domestic routes but if they can provide same hospitality and comfort in domestic routes then it can become one of the best airlines
vistara is just too good if you consider the other airlines in india right now.....i kinda like the vistara branding and theme more than the air india one( thanks to singapore airlines :) )..lets see where tatas take these two airlines in near future
Agreed, Vistara has that Qatar Airlines look and is much better than AI at the moment. There’s too much red and saffron to Air India making it look dated.

Well since Air India is under the TATA's and SQ now I think the Vistara standard will be the bottom-line for the future Air India. TATA's wouldn't have bought Air India if they weren't gonna put immense effort into improving it and making it a world class airline.

I find his (Josh Cahill) constant whining to be annoying. He comes off as super entitled and over dramatic, almost as if he makes up scenarios and conjures up ridiculous thumbnails and titles to get more views.
Josh Cahill and Sam Chui are the worst. I remember Josh on a domestic India flight complaining about seat cleanliness and then when the meal was served, he removed the lid of the hot main dish with all the gravy and condensation on the underneath and placed it in the seat pocket where the magazines and sickness bag was. Who does that?! He clearly doesn't get irony!
This video made me very happy, good vibes only. I really wish I could have flown them before the merger, but this made me experience their product virtually, thank you for that. Despite the fact there are many other flight/ travel reviewers/vloggers, the quality, consistency, clarity and outstanding content really make them stand out 🤩 Happy to have discovered your channel early on and watching it grow 💫
Yeah I’ll be honest I’m enjoying the ‘facts over personality’ driven direction the channel is going. The more I learn about one airline, the better equipped I am to judge the next one. Man, so much of finesse and genuine information in your videos, I truly doubt if there is any indian UA-camr, who carries so much heavy data..and more so, you don't have any sponsored content. I truly don't know why you have a low subscriber base, mediocre and below standard UA-cam channels command subscriber base running into thousands and sometimes millions. You surely deserve better, bro. Keep going....
Thanks very much. I can easily explain... shock/negative content is what attracts the most views and subscribers in this genre. Even on my channel, my most viewed video (for now) was a negative review. This is no secret and is precisely why you see so many travel related channels with a constant negative tone or click bait titles. There is also space for balanced content here, but of course it takes longer to build the subscriber base- but that's ok. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Hi Kevin, I discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago after one of your Air India videos and have been eagerly waiting for this review. I'm travelling to CDG on Vistara business class in August and really wanted to know what they're like on their international routes. You're probably the first and only flight reviewer who has actually has a really well made and informative video about Vistara's business class rather than the other half baked videos that are just uselessly taking up space on UA-cam servers. A slightly daft question I had was, did your ticket itself allow you AI lounge access (the Vistara website says otherwise) or was it elite status you hold with a Star Alliance airline that gave you access to the AI lounge? Wishing you the best for your future videos! Hope your channel grows and gets the subscribers it deserves!
Thanks very much for that. For the lounge, it was (surprisingly) included with the ticket. Since Vistara isn’t Star Alliance, having status with them wouldn’t have gotten me access. My guess is Vistara used to use a different contract lounge but Tata realized there was no sense to pay for that when the AI lounge now belonged to them lol. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

I've flown in the New Delhi - Frankfurt connection in economy class. The experience was simply brilliant. Amazing staff, good food, snacks, beverages and alcohol. I only hope that the New AIR INDIA picks off where VISTARA left off.
This was SO helpful thank you! Im waiting at Delhi airport now to board Vistara Business Class to London so I am eager and hopeful now for a good experience, as I have had a very bad airport experience in Delhi, I found no one to be helpful and even booking Business class ticket was unable to have access to Encalm Lounge and sent me to Air India lounge, which is awful and food not good as you mention as well. Fingers crossed for good flight!!
I traveled from Hyd to CDG via New Delhi recently and also travelling again next week . Excellent service onboard but no air india lounge access on the way back in the domestic airport and had to wait 4 hours for my flight to Hyderabad using public facilities
Vistara is the shining star. The collaboration with Singapore airlines means they are learning from the best. Let's hope they don't get sloppy in the future
This is the first video I saw of this channel 'The Flip Flop Traveller' and OMG was it peaceful I literally felt like I was going to Paris from New Delhi myself keep it up sir YOU ARE MAKING AMAZING CONTENT!!
Great video! The meal looks so craving at least for Indians! I am confident TATA will equip AI with even better features and services over next 3-5 years. It’s pride of the Founder and they will make it one of the best in industry.
The music on board & all the sonic branding for Vistara has been done by Brandmusiq - a great company based in Mumbai whose work I have had the pleasure to witness. Last week, the Tatas announced that Vistara's operating procedures will be adopted by Air India so those fearing the worst in the merger can breathe easy. Tata's are not messing around. They founded Air India after all before it was nationalized. I have every reason to believe they will get it right with the merger. Looking forward to a world-class Air India from 2025 onward.
You certainly have an advantage to provide honest, unbiased, and non sponsored content because you are incognito on your channel, Airlines are usually tipped off by a booking of a flight reviewer because their name is well known. I've never heard of freshly popped popcorn 🍿 on a flight. That's very cool. 👍
I decided to be as anonymous as possible way back during my 1st trip to Thailand (for the channel) in 2021. In one day, I saw two very prominent UA-camrs (separately) on the street/train in Bangkok. Both have over 400k subscribers and it made me realize how easy it would be to receive special treatment if I started to show my face. I have realized that to keep this channel relevant for years to come, I'll eventually need to 'remove the mask', but for now- I'm sticking with it!
So finally watched it. It was a quite a good vlog. Vistara offers the best business class product in India. Just hope the new Air India aircrafts can also match this. The views were amazing, specially the one over turkey. And I hope you liked the Indian food.
Thanks for your video. It would be exciting to watch india airlines and airports in future. With lots of international airport being constructed like navi mumbai, Rajkot, jewar, ayodhya, Ludhiana it will be interesting to watch
An exact review that I had flying Vistara when the 789 was doing domestic rounds during the pandemic. Though there weren't much soft services available thanks to COVID. But the pursers, cabins and food - on the domestic route were amazing! Big shout out to TajSats, a joint venture of the Indian Hotels Company or popularly known as the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces by the TATA group and SATS (formerly known as Singapore Airport Terminal Services). Kevin thank you for such an honest and lovely review! I hope AI takes all the good learnings from UK's business model! FYI - AI are using UK's marketing team to build great experiences. AI is also being furnished on digital platforms, especially their webpage interface by TCS - Tata Consultancy Services which is globally renowned. I can't stop thinking of how positive AI is going to be under the steermanship of their mother - TATA. Can't wait to see your next video!
Only Tata could have saved air india after 500000 millions down.....With the help of his own companies like u mentioned above TCS and TAJ hotels&caterers etc. But the main reason which motivates Tata group to do all these changes is the name of the company, air INDIA.... And he wants to see this name( India ) to the top of the list and ofcourse the growing aviation market opportunity.
A very nice review. I have flown Vistara a few times and am hopeful that that the "New Air India" will be a clone of Vistara. I appreciate your honest, unsponsored reviews.
While I completely respect your opinion, me thinks "the a319neo is the best looking commercial jet" are words that have never been uttered before lmao.
Great review Kevin. I'm becoming a fan of your videos. I knew you would give us an in-depth review of this trip. Just FYI, what was sitting on the paratha during dinner which you referred to as "crisps" are not actually crisps. They are mini papadams (as opposed to the regular full size ones). These are often eaten with rice/curry dishes by taking bites in between individual rice servings. Common within South Asia.

Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Well said and air India is also own it's way .! Proud of my country and TATA ❤
I’m confident they will. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Enjoy your trip 🗺️
This was great!
Thanks for such an amazing trip report.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
This has got to be the best and most in-depth review. Amazing
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Great video about a great flight!
It really makes you hope that everything from Vistara will pour out on Air India, and not the contrary...
Same here!
I traveled from Hyd to CDG via New Delhi recently and also travelling again next week . Excellent service onboard but no air india lounge access on the way back in the domestic airport and had to wait 4 hours for my flight to Hyderabad using public facilities
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻
Vistara is the shining star.
The collaboration with Singapore airlines means they are learning from the best.
Let's hope they don't get sloppy in the future
Well... they won't exist in the future, so... lol
This is the first video I saw of this channel 'The Flip Flop Traveller' and OMG was it peaceful I literally felt like I was going to Paris from New Delhi myself keep it up sir YOU ARE MAKING AMAZING CONTENT!!
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching 🩴
I really like Vistara’s name, theme music, colour scheme, livery and other extensive details.

15:38 that cloud looks like a big bird sailing through the skies😮

Great video! The meal looks so craving at least for Indians! I am confident TATA will equip AI with even better features and services over next 3-5 years. It’s pride of the Founder and they will make it one of the best in industry.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Best neutral civil aviation youtuber . Love from India. You will get all the support from us , we Indians will support you 🇮🇳🇮🇳 ❤❤ .

Amazing video - Cannot wait for your review once Air India and Vistara merge goes through. Btw what camera are you using to take these videos?
iPhone 14PM & 13PM. Thanks for watching 🩴
Wow.. Tht background music was.. Awwww...beautiful n soothing
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Very nice review. Gives me hope for the new and improved Air India.
Thanks for watching 🩴
The music on board & all the sonic branding for Vistara has been done by Brandmusiq - a great company based in Mumbai whose work I have had the pleasure to witness.
Last week, the Tatas announced that Vistara's operating procedures will be adopted by Air India so those fearing the worst in the merger can breathe easy. Tata's are not messing around. They founded Air India after all before it was nationalized. I have every reason to believe they will get it right with the merger. Looking forward to a world-class Air India from 2025 onward.
Thanks for watching 🩴
Very impressed with this indian airline. Thanks.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft : Stay incognito as long as you can 👍
Thank you for 11:21 of the video . excellent video!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Very, very helpful and, as always, flawlessly compiled and narrated. And what was the music please; it is beautiful.
Appreciate that!
Opened the video and instantly liked it. On my way to home.. will watch it later.
So finally watched it. It was a quite a good vlog. Vistara offers the best business class product in India. Just hope the new Air India aircrafts can also match this. The views were amazing, specially the one over turkey.
And I hope you liked the Indian food.
I reckon the final long term hard products may even be an upgrade over this. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Thanks for your video. It would be exciting to watch india airlines and airports in future. With lots of international airport being constructed like navi mumbai, Rajkot, jewar, ayodhya, Ludhiana it will be interesting to watch
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Thanks for sharing!
@@tfft What is non-Veg like on these flights? Meat eater here, love Indian dishes!
@@bodyloverz30 I'm indian and I also wanted to know the options for non vegetarians
สายการบิน vistara ตกเเต่งภายในได้สวยเเละทันสมัยมากๆ บ่งบอกถึงอารมเเละทันสมัยสีม่วงคือสีสันที่สวยงามสมัยใหม่..✌️
Thanks for watching 🩴
Beautiful video ❤ very well put together ❤
Appreciate that!
I am going to miss Vistara when it’s gone.
Great video!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
A very nice review. I have flown Vistara a few times and am hopeful that that the "New Air India" will be a clone of Vistara. I appreciate your honest, unsponsored reviews.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Enjoyed the outside view from the plane 🎫 ✈ 🎫
Thank you 👍
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Nice review. Very well made , honest and objective.
Much appreciated!
What a professional trip report with very apt commentary
Appreciate that!
In my opinion, the a319neo is the best looking commercial jet. I love the proportion of the body to the engines. It looks so sporty.
While I completely respect your opinion, me thinks "the a319neo is the best looking commercial jet" are words that have never been uttered before lmao.
@The Flip Flop Traveller i appreciate your input. Sometimes i do feel like my taste strays from mainstream.
Great way to review, especially the scenery (mountains).
Thanks very much 🙏🏻
Most of us get into Air India with some trepidation. But you have done a frank video dispelling any misgivings. My next flight is AI to Mumbai 😊
Enjoy your trip 🗺️
Just the smallest suspicion that you hadn't dressed for the destination, Kevin. Great review.
I put pants on before deplaning ;)
Excellent travel video,congratulations.
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I just love this channel❤
Thanks very much 🙏🏻
This looks so good! Thank you for the review. Do they offer Pyjamas on the flight by any chance?
If they did it would have certainly been in the video 😉 Thanks for watching 🩴
@@tfft that's quite true! Thanks for the detailed video :)
I want to become a diplomat and Paris is my dream destination ❤
Hope you're able to get there soon!
Loved this feature. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for uploading. I may choose them for my flight from FRA to BLR via DEL.
Enjoy your trip!
Ah, yah… in American English “crisps” just refers to things that are crispy. I wasn’t calling them potato chips 🙃 thanks though!
