Hey bro, I marched in the ocean of soul in 2018. We did not leave because we were tired they said we were being disrespectful because we played during their turn, but they played multiple songs back-to-back and that's more disrespectful than us playing during their turn

I have to agree with you about both bands not following the rules.
These battles are too personal when, in fact, both bands have great musicians.
The members of these bands forget that, when all they have to do is have a good time.

Why are SWAC arrangements so easy? No wonder these bands crank, all they play is single rhythms.
Wave Man Mike can't judge us homie after watching an 50minute video of battling who we thought they were. It takes decades of watching, following us and understanding why us(SU) has never fallen from the top, as other bands have. We take pride at being the best and sticking to our tradition. We're called the HUMAN JUKEBOX for a reason. Other bands and programs set their bar, goals and expectations to some how..............to try and be as good as us(SU). The World is WATCHING, who will knock out the FLOYD MAYWEATHER in this BAND WORLD??? That's why Floyd had SU too play with him in Vegas a few years ago..........its on UA-cam as well. In words of Dj Khaled................"WE THE BEST"
@@tommyleejr.1326 well if you want honesty, those people want volume over quality. They have no idea what a good bad sounds like. I've yet to hear one SWAC band play with musicianship ever. In fact it's hard to find across the board of HBCU bands. The closest you'll find to a great band is old Famu.
While everyone has their opinion it wouldn't be fair for me to speak against yours. And that's just what it is an opinion. I have heard meac bands and besides FAMU and maybe Bethune-Cookman everybody else is boring. First of all they are in a gym. So the sound is loud and distorted. Now if you want a concert band piece then wait till the spring but HBCU bands have always been about being loud and cranking. And why are you saying you've never heard any swag band sound good you need to check Southern resume. Now name me some bands hbcus that you just think that are so great. Name me a meac bands that have over 1 million views for one video on UA-cam. I'll wait. There are none because the meac bands are so doggone boring that nobody watches them videos they have less than 5000 views and whatever views they have none of them still top of used for Southern University send me a video where meac band got over a hundred thousand views and then we'll talk. I'd rather for you to say I don't like the style of Southern University verses saying that the bands are not good Super Bowls, celebrities retweeting their songs or commenting on their songs I ain't seen Beyonce Ella Mae Richard Smallwood secular or gospel retweet or comment on anything of meac band has done.
And if you think ladies play single Rhythm then I'd like for you to watch the Battle of the Bands of TSU and Southern and 2016. And I need you to look up Southern University Bohemian Rhapsody and then tell me if all they playing is Single rhythms
well said sir. I've said the very same thing over and over. People nit pick on certain years/songs about SU, but we have always been on top and never fell off. Other schools have a good year or 2, but fade. SU has NEVER FADED and thats FACT! No matter if we took a single L or 2, SU has ALWAYS been GREAT! TBH the only band that has the same track record of SU is FAMU and I haven't heard to much of them lately.@@tommyleejr.1326
