VJs was the original Juniors. It was frequented some days in the 1960s by more than 75 percent railway guys, both on and off shift. By the 1970s word had gotten out about how good the food was that on warm summer Friday and Saturday nights you had to park your car, walk a block, and then take it back to your car to eat it. Some summer weekends back then they would be open up to an hour and a half past official closing just to fill the line-up of customer orders.
I worked for Brinks back in the early 90’s. Brinks are (still) located in the back alley right behind - *VJ’s* - a wonderful institution. I used to love going in there after my shift. Their burgers were fantastic, and the box of fries with some salt and a few splashes of vinegar was a great way to end my day. If I ever go back to the ‘Peg, I’m definitely stopping by VJ’s.
superboys on main street near inkster is an 11 out of 10 burger and fries are always awesome my favorite is double cheese burger and fries you have to be really hungry to finish this in one sitting
Everyone seems to miss out on Oscars deli in downtown Winnipeg for their homemade bacon double cheeseburger because most order sandwiches. Hands down the best burger in town. Prove me wrong

Sad they didn't go to Dari Whip on Marion or Super Boys on Main. Both amazing. VJ's however is the best in the city.
