It's not just formatting so you can see the drive the steps are #1 initialize drive #2 format drive #3 make partition or partitions, now you can see the new drive.

And it's also possible you'll need to run the older win 7 version back up instead of the win 10 or 11. Even with a scan tool, it seemed to take a while before I could figure out what was cramming that drive.
If you only have one slot and want to upgrade the one you have to higher storage, be careful. Often NVME drives are where the OS is stored, so make sure you look up how to replace your C: drive so you can transfer everything properly. Otherwise you’ll either lose your data, have to buy Windows again, and/or brick your PC
Nowadays you do not need to buy a key of windows again just by swapping disk. It is linked to your microsoft account, so when u reinstall windows it will automatically recognize your pc. I did it many times and I never had to buy windows again.

This video doesn’t take into account how expensive nvme SSDs are. For the price of a 1tb nvme you can get a 4tb hard drive which would be more worth it if all it’s for is game storage
Yes and no it depends on what kind of games you'll be installing on it since there are titles where faster storage is better. Forza Horizon 5 comes to mind at first the loading screens are LONG on an HDD but with some titles it's literally irrelevant if it's saved on an SSD or not. HDD is also just good mass storage for clips and etc

A 1tb nvme isn’t that expensive. You can usually get for around $100 or less, depending on the brand. Once you start putting games on a nvme/sata ssd, you’ll never want to put games on a mechanical hard drive.

In my opinion everybody should try adding a few TB of mechanical storage if they can't afford more than 1 TB of SSD storage. A single terabyte fills up in a couple days once you start installing a few AAA games. Imagine quintupling your system storage for $100, in exchange for having to wait a few seconds longer when you launch a game. Best value for money IMO.

In my opinion hdds are better then nvme ssds, they are way cheaper and have way more storage space, they arent much Harder to Install especally If you have a large Air cooler or only one nvme Slot or allready use one Slot, the second Slot is usualy chipset based so you will lose some of your sats Ports, i could easily buy a 2nd 2tb gen3/4 nvme SSD or even a 4tb and spend around 250-500€ or i could spend the Same amount on 1-2 hdds and get around 8-16 tb of extra storage space, the loading times wont be noticably slower
First off No You do not create Hard Disc Partition You Create a new Simple Volume and so on from there Partitions are Useless Because we have things called Folders!

Yeah not that simple either. Some slots are sata and will take sata slots away from your sata allotment on the board, pcie lanes are a thing too. It’s not as simple as just banging in a drive into any old slot!
Here’s a funny story because of my stupidity I have 4 NVMe SSDs but my mobo only has 2 slots. Sure enough, searched for an adapter until I realize my mobo does not support bifurcation and my adapter has 2 slots.
Horrible advice, m.2 is a form factor and it might not support nvme. Read your manual if you wanna replace your m.2, not some internet video. Use your sata ports and buy a SSD, easier and cheaper usually. Plus added benefits are transferring old files to new pc is easier as the whole drive moves no formatting, or if your main OS drive goes.

Formating the drive does not make it visible. However adding a windows partition does.

3 years ago nvme ssds were 200 to 300 about 4 years ago for a terabyte and i got 2 1tb nvme ssds m.2 cards for 150$

They are not "NVMes", they are M.2 SSDs. Some of which are NVMe, and some are SATA. NVMe is an interface specification, not a form factor.
Instead of deleting some games to scavenge for space. I deleted some numbers from my bank account.
