You're a lifesaver. I know next to nothing about PCs, which is probably why I had to buy a 2TB SSD immediately after ordering a custom-built PC with only 512GB SSD rather than the 2TB SSD I had meant to order. I never thought I'd be able to actually do this stuff on my own, but your video was completely straightforward, not intimidating at all, very well explained, and well-paced. Thanks so much :)
I want to say exactly the same with An Louise. I used to know stuff about pc about 20 years ago. I ordered a pc for my son and I never expected to manage to put an extra ssd NV me on my own. But with your help I did it ! Thank you . Your language was very comprehensive even for foreigners! Greetings from Greece 😊
Feels good doesn't it? & the PC space sure has a 🐇 🕳 of other avenues too. I def contemplated ordering a pre built because it is still a hassle if not experienced/careful, but also allows you to really see under the hood. Like I didnt even realize my motherboard has what, 4 NVMe slots?! I'm building mine atm(finishing it 2nite) w/a 4080 SUPER & i7 13700k. Never used NVMe drives B4. Also got a regular SSD as well
The first video I find that explains the whole process in the simplest way. Some youtubers refer to the bios, most don't even show how to plug the ssd in the socket. Bravo and thanks
Dude! I’ve changed way too many SSDs but NEVER an NVME. You made it super simple to understand. It took a few minutes to take out the old one and put in the new one! Than you man!
Thanks a lot - I was concerned at first because my NVMe did not show up as "Unassigned" like yours did - I had to scroll down first. So if there is anyone with a similar issue just scroll down and you will see the unassigned partition. So happy to finally follow a guide where it actually works lol!
I know this video is 2 years old but it helped me install the ssd for my pc. Never had a gaming pc before so I was a little intimidated. Had to remove my graphics card but the whole process was super easy. Appreciate it!
Great tutorial. Thank you. It always amazes me how small the M.2 drives are when you take them out of the box. Such an improvement over the old technologies.
i was trying to find out how to do all this since im upgrading the system i built almost 5 years ago but... i have adhd and im a bit scatter-brained so i had no idea/didnt remember what i was doing or what i had done to build my computer. this video literally saved my new ssd from being destroyed. My motherboard didnt have the distance plug, so i would have just left the ssd flopping about semi erect (LOL) or just added a screw and bent the ssd, and i would have forgotten to reinstall the heat sink. fixing the partition was the easy part but i am so happy that it was in the video so i could double check how to do it. thank you so much for saving all of us from having to buy more new m2 sticks in the near future.
YOU ARE THE MAN! I swear I put my M.2 in my PC and then check my GB and didn’t see anything new. I was gonna install different things to fix this problem. Thank you very much !
After installing the SSD I was so very confused on why it wasnt popping up, thank you for helping me fix that simple mistake that could've costed me my whole computer!
Dude! Great video! My cousin said he was gonna help me but ended up not being able to and this video just did the work for me and made it so simple. I was super stressed and worried about breaking the PC given the fact I knew nothing about them since I just got into PC gaming. Super thankful and glad for this tutorial thank you and great job brother !
You should add a popup saying 'Choose GPT if Windows 11' on screen at 3:30, it gives me and I guess a lot of other people have the same windows message.
I just built a new pc and istalled the samsung 990 pro m.2 but my system doesnt detect the drive. What do i have to do. Now theres now way for me to install windows.
You go to a different computer with a usb drive, download the windows os 10 or 11, boot the new pc into bios, then boot it with a key or one you have on your account from the usb you downloaded windows on. done.
I'm always 1 step away from a heart attack anytime I have to fix or upgrade something on my PC, but videos like this always make it seem straightforward and easy a little less scary. Thanks, my new SSD is up and running, and I didn't need to take the whole thing to the shop!
After installing my brand new Fikwot/Jupiter FX991 M.2 SSD 2TB NVMe SSD M2 2280 PCIe Gen 4x4 I was so confused when my ASUS laptop didn't show the new SSD memory installed and started worrying if I even installed my SSD correctly? But after watching YOUR video I am happy again!! Amazingly simple and clear video guide! Thank you very much, Good Man!
Man, thank you so much for this and the hard drive video, hope you keep this series going, sometimes pc building becomes an anxiety inducing task, even if the process is easier than it used to be you want to minimize the chance of screwing up, I'm waiting for parts and will definitely be referencing your videos in the future! Have a great day!
Thank you for this guide! Easy to follow, and straight to the point. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to building PCs, and I managed to do it in one shot. Great stuff!!
Thanks much. Excellent video. Probably best one actually. You didnt make me go watch another video you already made so one 5min video told me everything in detail.
These videos are great. I used to build Pc's years ago but lost touch. Now the technology is so different, these videos help a lot. I'm away to buy a new Pc & am catching up.
What an absolute baller. I love how you just went ahead and improved my quality of life by bringing two videos into one. Thank you for that. Dropping a follow🎉
Very well done video through and through. Appreciated the tutorial for setting up the drive in windows as well, rather than sending me over to another video. Thank you!!

If anyone’s running into the issue of not having a screw on hand, if you have a spare PS4 controller on hand the screws holding the casings might be the right fit for your screw mount, I was lucky enough for it to work so hopefully it works for you lol
I just stumbled upon this recently and I just want to say that I appreciate you. You saved me so much time. I will sub forsure and click the notification button for new updates: thank you very much 😅
I'm having an issue that whenever I install my drive, my PC boots into automatic repair? When I go into BIOS my other 2 drives go missing unless I take the NVME out, and I've tried moving the drives around the SATA ports to no avail. Anyone have any answers to my issue? My BIOS is updated as well.
Many thanks. I'm new to building a PC and I have just finished but i didn't knew how to install an NVMe SSD so this was very helpful for both the first and as a recap for the second as I had upgraded my graphics card and needed another NVMe SSD for backup.
So I do not know anything about pcs but I didn’t know that my pc came with a heat sink. Can I still use my 990 with heat sink without the pc’s heat sink or will it not work

Cant believe this expensive SSD didnt come with the one tiny screw to hold it in... would it have KILLED them to include one little screw?!
They were held at gun Point not to give you a screw 😂
Man where do i get the screw because i dont have it either
I threw the mobo
Box along with the screws, good thing my mobo has a heat sink in it
I didn't think mine did either then I saw it
The screws come with the motherboard, sometimes in a small bag inside the box, or like in my case they came screwed in.
