One thing worth noting is that Italy in 2004 passed Law 40 restricting IVF in which they tried to address many of the concerns we raise in this episode, such as limiting the freezing of embryos, limiting the number of embryos fertilized, and requiring virtually all living embryos to be placed in mother's womb. Some of the law's provisions have been rolled back by their courts, and we don't have the knowledge to give a thorough review of the law or current situation. But know that Catholic Italy recognized the evil and works to restrict it, and American Protestants should be ashamed to be cheerleading for this bloody business.
Yes, this is an area where I think the church has real repenting to do. When we did the episode on the overturn or Roe and Casey, and the episode on creating a culture that celebrates life, wd talked about how the years of legalized abortion has affected the church and caused many who are pro-life to think and live in ways that are pro-death. IVF is one of those areas. Charles
This is the last video of your group to which I'm going to respond. Fertility techniques are necessary to prolong our species, especially in the face of changing flora and fauna, if we are to survive. There is nothing wrong with people who have fertility problems using techniques like IVF, and others, to have children, short of adoption, which is not always available to everyone. That's All. Have A Good Life. I Am Working On Mine. Be Well! -Firefishe
