It’s mind boggling that Bewitched originally aired nearly 60 years ago and is still one of the best series when compared to today’s shows.

I grew up with an abusive, violent mother in the 1960s......she rarely even allowed my sister and I to watch Bewitched. But when we did get to watch it, it was pure magic. And dear, sweet, kind, lovable Liz Montgomery:) she was there on TV, for my sister and I to see how normal mothers behave. I'm now 57, but that little boy in me just wants to reach through the internet and give Liz the biggest hug imaginable!

She looks 50s here, cuz weight etc bigger, older then when the tv show, etc. Just normal age weight gain not fat, but also happens in the 40's I don't think she was 60 or woukd have qrinkles, etc, probably in 70s she was 20-30s plus 80s here in interview 40's maybe not close to 50's yet. I think 60s she would bot look that great unless lucky genetics & took care of skin, diet, etc. I doubt the info of products was as great as today to do that.

I'm a 51yo Australian male and I admit to having had a massive crush on Elizabeth Montgomery, Samantha Stephens and cousin Serena since I was about 8 years old. Elizabeth Montgomery was utterly stunning, and she brought lovely humour, intelligence and misheviousness into both of those roles. I was a kid, I would get home and would watch the re-runs of Bewitched every afternoon just to see Elizabeth. The show would have been nothing without her.

Mary Tyler Moore wasn't the only woman on TV who turned the world on with her smile in those days. Elizabeth Montgomery, who played the mighty Samantha Stephens in the classic TV comedy series "Bewitched", was one of the most popular TV stars of the 1960s and 70s. Her program, "Bewitched" was the longest-running, most successful situation-fantasy comedy series in television broadcasting history. The show lasted for eight seasons from 1964 to 1972. She was one of America's Sweethearts, Television's Queen of Magic, the original Supergirl of the 1960s. "Bewitched" was one of my favorite TV programs when I was younger. I remember watching the show when I was a kid living in my Mother's house in Toronto. I am 63 years old now, and I still enjoy watching reruns of the program many years later. Elizabeth Montgomery was one of my favorite TV stars way back then, and she still is to this very day. She passed away from colon cancer on May 18, 1995. She was 62 years old. I just couldn't believe it when I saw the news of her passing in the paper that day. What a shame she didn't survive long enough to make it into the 21th century. Heaven knows what she would have accomplished then. She would've been 86 if she was still alive. Her memory and legacy will live on forever. Thank you Elizabeth Montgomery, for being a part of our childhood memories. May you rest is peace.

Montgomery and I developed a loose bond of friendship as a result of the Criterion [Special Edition Laserdisc] experience and a few months later I had the honor of accompanying her to the Metropolitan Opera's 1991 production of The Ghost of Versailles. I was a guest of the composer, John Corigliano. Prior to the evening's presentation, a few of us broke bread together at one of Lincoln Center's boiteries and at a certain juncture Montgomery had to see a man about a dog (does anyone use that expression anymore?). A few minutes later, she returned to the table wearing an unmistakable look of amusement on her face. “What's so funny,” I asked. “Oh,” she said, someone just handed me an autograph book to sign under the partition of the toilet stall.” After the laughter died down all-round, she said, “Oh, that's not the first time that's happened.” The obligations of celebrity! Mind you this was not at a Bewitched fan convention, but at the Metropolitan Opera. --- from Shared Air

Yes, She would be 81. Carol Burnett is 11 days younger. When I seen Carol on The Tonight Show 10-6-14. I couldn't help thinking if E.M. were here today. She might be able to work as long as Carol and Bette White, cuz those two are still kicking butt in their 80's and 90's. The skit Carol did with Jimmy Fallon was classic Burnett. I laughed for several days. "Tension's" the soap opera was skit name. As For the guy that said, E.M. was over-rated. Actually, She was way under-rated for the wrong reasons.

The thing about Elizabeth Montgomery is that she had femininity oozing out of every cell of her body. She was smart, beautiful, extremely talented, charming, but no pushover. I would say about 80 million young men were madly in love with her during her run on Bewitched. But everything about her was feminine... looks, voice, manner, personality. I really, really miss the days when females had femininity. It is almost all gone!

I grew up watching Bewitched when it first aired in 1964. Elizabeth Montgomery was as gorgeous as could be...I was only 7 years old at the time, but I was in love with her... The show was a hit all over the United States. My Dad played professional baseball at the time and I got to watch all over, including Puerto Rico...This show struck a good chord with just about everyone.

I was ten years old when Bewitched first started. I think the first two years were in black and white, then ABC went to color in 1966. But it didn't matter at our house, since we kept the old Admiral black and white TV until the mid-1970's. Even so, her beauty was evident in the limited spectrum of monochrome. But when I see an occasional rerun, her color image is stunning. Thank you, Elizabeth Montgomery, for adding class and beauty to our world. God Bless.

She should have won the Emmy for her superb, riveting and cold blooded portrayal of Lizzie Bordon. She scared the living shit out of me in that movie.Lo! She proved that she was also an accomplished dramatic actress.

Sadly back in those days colonoscopies weren't talked about they way they are today. If she had had one at age 50 she would probably still be alive today. My mother died at 54 from the same thing and didn't have one at 50. I met Liz twice and what a down to earth nice woman. Beautiful inside and out

I actually had an "Aunt Clara" who was just like her. I called her my $5.00 auntie. I don't care how much work I did for her, here she'd come with that five bucks and the words, "get yourself something nice now baby." My Uncle would always ask me why I kept coming by to work that hard for five dollars. All I could say was that "she's my Grandmother's sister." It's a family affair. There's nothing more to say.💝

It was so surreal living right across the street from that Bewitched house!!
