U should try the Xiaomi Vlog mode it has also other features good for Video

How do you go into these modes and lock the axes like you're talking about? I don't see anything about this in the app.

I'm not using the app so I don't know (maybe try to look in the settings in the app) but to switch between modes on the Hohem iSteady X you can use the gimbal buttons:
1. Press and hold shutter button (left button on the gimbal)
2. Now tap power button (right button on the gimbal)
- 1 time for Pan/Tilt Follow mode
- 2 times: Follow mode
- 3 times: ALL Lock mode
- 4 times: POV mode

isteady x vs isteady mobile plus.

iSteady X is smaller, lighter, better for traveling but the gimbal movement is slightly restricted
iSteady Mobile Plus can do 360 panorama and battery last a bit longer, but it's much bigger (I don't own one, just according to the pictures/videos)
I would choose probably iSteady X because it's so compant and small and I don't want to carry a big gimbal with me all the time, you can put iSteady X in your pocket. But you can't make a mistake with either of them! Let me know which one you end up buying

Ja, ich bin ziemlich zufrieden mit diesem Gimbal, es ist billig, winzig und leicht.
Der einzige Nachteil, den ich gemerkt habe, ist, dass es das Gimbal nicht immer im All-Lock mode festhält (aber es kann durch Kalibrierung verursacht werden) und hat aufgrund der Konstruktion des Kardanrahmens eine leicht begrenzte vertikale Bewegung.
Es ist meine erste und einzige gimbal, so dass ich es nicht wirklich mit anderen gimbals vergleichen kann. Aber ich denke, es lohnt sich wirklich für diesen Preis
