  • Tips helping beginners and student cricketers improve their backfoot defence against short balls and bouncers in cricket. When a batsman is learning to bat in cricket, they will make some mistakes when facing bouncers and short balls. This video will help a parent or coach recognise and correct these mistakes using simple drills and games.
This video also shows the common mistakes that beginner players make when trying to play on the back foot. Once a parent or coach spots these mistakes they can acknowledge them and use the drills shown to fix them. Examples of common mistakes are backing away from the ball, not getting behind the ball and not getting on top of the ball.
The backfoot defence in cricket is very important when facing tall fast bowlers, who bowl short and quick deliveries. This video will help guide cricketers who are in the early stages of learning, how to play these short and quick balls when they are feeling uncomfortable.

Hello Brother, I am a 37 year male who has starting playing cricket again after a long gap (College days to be precise 🙂) and currently I am focusing on getting the line and length back. I have a peculiar question and was wondering if you could guide me. We usually play our matches with a heavy Tennis ball(Roughly 125 Grams) or lighter tennis ball (Roughly 85 Grams). Practicing bowling with the lighter ball requires a lot of effort to generate pace as against playing with the heavier one . Shifting from Heavier to lighter ball and vice versa is a pain . So my question is which tennis ball should I practice with so that I dont have to keep shuffling between them and at the same time my bowling also becomes better in terms of pace, line and length. In other words which one ball type should i practice with to improve my bowling without worrying that the weight would cause issues in my bowling during an actual match.Would appreciate your response.

My issue is that even as a right handed fast bowler, I take off from my right leg and I also land on my right leg. Can you make videos on how I can fix this and how long will this take?
This is probably the most ignored issue, there is literally no video on this topic
