    Hook: Dohiku 303 Size 10
    Bead: 2.8mm Tungsten Painted Orange
    Tail: Black Marabou
    Flash: Extra Fine Crystal Flash
    Body: Hends Spectra Dubbing #46
    Rib: Fine Red Wire
    Hackle: Dark Natural CDC Feather
    Thread: Black 8/0

    Great simple fly that you just know will slay them! i can visualize some big victorian trout hitting this fly HARD! Great fly for beginner tyers to make as well. Thanks Tom

    Took some inspiration from this but tied it with olive spectra dubbing, copper wire rib and a gold bead
    4lb Brown at Newlyn monstered it!

    They seem to be long tails, but I suppose it is a streamer.

    Nice one! I shall tie it. Do you find it's better to use a tungsten bead rather than brass? does the extra weight give the fly more movement? or does it not matter?

      It’s probably much of a muchness with that size bead. On the lake I wouldn’t mind if it’s brass or tungsten, on a river I would definitely tie it with a tungsten. Cheers, Tom
