I had a class with Meg in college. This was way before the fame and all that. I just remember her having this amazing light in her and this energy that was magnetic. Anytime anyone asked her for help she would help. Anytime someone looked sad she was the one to try to get them to smile.

It's wild to remember that celebs had lives and knew people and were in regular everyday spaces before the fame. I have no doubt she was absolutely wonderful as a person. She seems to just have a consistent kindness and gentleness to her and this is why people gravitated towards her when she stepped on the scene.

I just have to laugh. There was literally no evidence that was substantially presented at all. They didn't have bullet fragments to present. Kelsey, the main witness that was neutral, stated everything I told the DA was a lie. She did the eighty minute interview just to get immunity. When she was asked by Tory's defense if you had the gun at any point. She repeatedly pleads the fifth. Kelsey and Tory had gunpowder residue, yet only Tory was investigated and tried. EJ Megan's stylist, who was at the party that night, "stated when the girls do not have security. They bring weapons to protect themselves. " Both women, while on the stand stated, I don't recall when asked about their bags that they placed in Tory's car. As stated earlier, the gun was Olive Green, and 9mm are preferably used by women. Mr. Kelly, the eye witness over Megan and Kelsey's fight. Stated that once the fight got to the end. He saw the shorter girl go to the car and retrieve something. Then he saw flashes going off near her towards the bigger girl. Then, the men got out to stop the girls. Tory ran to Kelsey. This can be found in the first set of transcripts when Mr. Kelly talked to the lead detective. Mind you, Kelly's testimony changed when he met with the DA. These are just some of the reasons why she'll never recover from this.

@kasharianthony3661 And yet she still hasn't found peace and never will. Because with every passing day, more and more people are starting to read the transcripts in full. The driver's affidavit within Tory's appeal didn't help the situation. All of her lies and contradictions are coming to the light. Even once he gets out. She's still will be punished for the rest of her life. All of you underestimate just how important an innocent black man's life is to someone with a conscious.

5:17 the Kanye comparison is hitting the nail on the head. The public STILL uses his mom passing as a way to excuse his behavior and antics. If a person didn’t have their own mind they’d be hating Megan for simply living life wild and free though she was actually grieving. Megan hasn’t really done anything to actually hurt someone that doesn’t happen with regular people on a weekly basis. Ask people why they don’t like her, and they bring up who she’s slept with or kicked it with. Let’s judge your sexual life and choices. I know I’ve made some. But Kanye can literally give the whole black community his ass to kiss and they’re waiting in line kiss it and defend him and call him a genius.

A black woman has to work twice as hard to succeed, and we literally get no grace when we mess up. The hate I see around Meg is crazy. You would think she shot somebody or did something illegal. She went through trauma I couldn’t imagine while trying to balance a career in the public…then dealing with the case and I imagine lawyers, PR, etc., are all in your ear telling you what should and shouldn’t be said..I’m drained at the thought of it. Then shaming this woman because of other people blasting her sexual history?? Some of these folks have done worse and just plan to take it to the grave. Could she have handled some things differently? Of course, we all can. She’s young, she’s learning and I wish ppl would humanize entertainers.

It's backwards as fuck Thar shooting victim has to awnser question of sexual nature . It was embarrass the victim so people focus on her sexual history as if you can call this woman a hoe then her protection she deserves as human right is denigrated and therefore she deserves what ever she received or worse they apply false logic of if Meg would attempt to keep privacy about her sexuality that means she would lie about being injured
The sad thing is it's such an obvious bias of Misogynoir bc when / if a man was shot in anybody by another man . No on is asking if slept together or would even bring up a sexual past
They used the very old trope of women as agent of the man fall from grace. As if Daystar was not hitting men like August also while ago on trial.
So I think Cobra has double check meaning like y'all wanted me Eve eating the apple or literally a snake , let me shed that tired trope.
People turned Megan getting hurt into whole Telenovela and no matter how you had Driver ,Kelsey or Daystar...no one can explain why Daystar on probation had firearm and so no matter if Kelsey touched it. Daystar violate Probation allow a gun in his possession went off injury in result .

Real HEALING Girl Shit. I love miss Megan even more. This almost brought me to tears and not in a weird parasocial way, it’s difficult to articulate but as a Black woman I also hear her SO LOUD and SO CLEAR. I just wish I could give her a hug because WE see her, hear her and I am just cheering for her journey to health. She ate the gworls up mama with a real hot clock of the tea. & I think it needs to be said especially louder for the Black community. Not to get all woo-y but we cannot all be festering in low vibrational activities, situations and environments forever, but as you mentioned Zach some people get comfortable and obsess over this internet shit a little too much.. if the world disconnected tomorrow what would these people have left to offer? & not even towards capitalistic society but really in the reflection of themselves? I just wanna give Megan a hug. Just a true hug, no words. Like without her family, she's made it kicking & screaming. She just needs support. People wanna trash her just to be on trend. She's going through what so many people are going through but in this intense spotlight and no one wants to give her grace & peace. Like she said, you cannot argue with a fool. People need to read before they start talking

Honestly, even though she has talked about all of this in her songs, I’m so glad that she finally publicly addressed all this. The grace that wasn’t extended to Megan was a combination of so many reasons including racism, misogyny, sex negativity, etc. That girl lost her parents and grandmother within a fixed timeframe while heading to stardom so of course she was secretly depressed. The people who hate her can’t even explain why (unless they’re a Barb and even then they can’t come up with anything unless they bring up WAP as if she wasn’t supposed to do what’s best for her career). These are the same people who repeatedly and continually give Kanye West grace in light of his absurd and crazy actions for almost 20 years now for losing his mother but can’t extend the same to a Black young woman who lost both her parents and grandmother within 1-2 years of each other.

She is still in her 20s trying to navigate this industry alone and she doesn't get grace. I think ppl either hate her or love her, there is no in between.
