Everything about it seems impressive. The 3/4 top down view reminiscent of older school RPGs is killer. The gameplay will likely be fine. The gacha...who knows, I don't care so long as I can reach endgame and do raids etc. PvP can go screw itself. However, if the story OR dialogue fails, the game fails. Some perspective: The dialogue and storyline in most Asian gacha games over the past 10 years has usually been...well, crap. Yes, I know some Asian games have awesome storylines and enjoyable, relevant dialogue such as Final Fantasy and Death Stranding and Zenless, but they're the exceptions rather than the rule. Take a look at the difference in story and dialogue between most Western games, especially older games, and the current crop of Asian games. The difference is noticeable. I'm assuming differences in culture and translation are partially to blame, but only partially. An RPG style game in all its variants is very similar to movies. It's essentially an interactive movie. The script in a movie NEVER contains any dialogue that doesn't move the story forward in some way. Ever. In many games over the last 20 years, that hasn't been the case. I'm tired of exposition heavy dialogue that dumps info instead of weaving it into the plot and tired of inane conversations about food and studying for exams which have nothing to do with the plotline AT ALL. Want to know why most games have skippable dialogue? It's because the dialogue and plot are usually mediocre or crap. P.S. wow my autism kicked in again, didn't it?😂
This has definitely been an under the radar game and will probably stay that way. It definitely feels like a spirital successor for pgr right now, I hope it can grow into something special. Knowing there's former pgr staff working on the game, I'm optimistic about the combat. As long as they're competent at their jobs anyway, the rest of the game should follow suit. I'm hoping that the story will be a step up in presentation from pgr if they go the way of the visual novel storytelling style. To me, that requires at the bare minimum l2d character models. On top of that, multiple emotes for each l2d model, a fully voiced story and dynamic background scenes would highten it. I also would be really happy if they gave us the story in full 3d custcenes either through CG renders or within the engine and as interactive thing. I'll be looking forward to playing it anyway since it's right up my alley.
Too many waifus. 😮💨 A game has to be truly amazing now for me to play it despite the awful gender ratio. As a straight female player, I'm tired of being treated like an afterthought instead of being seen as a part of the target audience. The market is already saturated with waifu games. If it's not a date sim, there's no reason to not make the ratio balanced and focus on story and personality to sell the characters. This waifu game will always be inferior to Azure Lane, Promilia, Brown Dust 2, Snowbreak, Nikke, etc. It'll always be inferior because it'll never push the fanservice far enough to satisfy the players who feel bothered by seeing men in the game. The waifu-only down bad audience will never care about these types of serious-in-tone dramatic games more than they care about the fanservice and date-sim games (like Nikke). So, why developers put that audience on a pedestal above everyone else is beyond me; especially with how saturated the waifu genre is rn. Make a game like you would a shounen anime: like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, etc. Give us a mixed cast of male and female characters with a strong personality that leaves a lasting impression. Create characters that support a great story instead of trying to make every character a dateable partner that isn't allowed to be seen standing next to other characters of the opposite gender. Put story first. Otherwise, there's no point in me leaving the games I've already invested in, just to experience more of the same lame boring thing.
I was looking forward to this game, but then you said it is on mobile and not PC. So what do they mean when they say.. simulator + mobile? Is that like a PC client they are making for the game?
I am excited for this and will definitely try it. I disagree that it doesn't need to be groundbreaking though, with So much competition, and new games raising the bar higher and higher, they'll need to do something special to give players a reason to play This instead of the Mugens or NTEs for instance. In this day and age I don't think games can afford to be Just Decent anymore
Most games aren't goundbreaking, though. NTE is Genshin in an urban setting. So is Mugen. Azur Promilia is Genshin with Pokemon. None of these are groundbreaking. WuWa is Genshin with better combat and more QoL features. Not groundbreaking. But it still did incredibly well. A game doesn't need to be groundbreaking, we just need something good and fun. Like Arknights. Like NIKKE.
Not too much new information on this one it seems, but it's a good sign that they'll be taking prereg and doing testing soon. I didn't realize that former PGR folks were working on it! Theoretically that means even if the story starts out a bit goofy, the combat should be on point. And I do appreciate the pulled-out camera they've opted for, like halfway between PGR and a Diablo-like. I wouldn't give up on a PC client just yet, there have been one or two games that actually had the option but it didn't show up until close to (or even on) release day so there's still a possibility they'll confirm it later. Copium makes the world go round XD
I played the whatever test in January 2024 and I’m quite looking forward to more. Story is very good but combat feels a bit weird sometimes and pulling/building characters is quite painful. I like their core CN dev team from the livestreams they had so I’m looking forward to improvements.
This looks so similar to PGR that it kinda makes me worried for its future. As a game that has a direct competition that is already massive, they would need to be really revolutionary. Being as good as PGR will not be enough.
Since is an ARPG, I think they are looking at PoE2 success and seeing on what they can learn from it, right now the combat feel a bit... off. It has potential, though.
If they have completely shifted from isometric to the generic action camera I'm going to be really disappointed. After Abyss Knights being cancelled I think this is the only upcoming anime isometric game :'(
We will see. I play Pgr and and aether gazer pretty exclusively. But I will say I've been enjoying gazer more, Pgr is great on combat but story can be pretty unorganized and convoluted where as gazer is very straight forward point a to b.
If it was on pc then i would give it a shot, but i'm done with pure mobile gacha games which is a shame since the few gacha games i play don't have char's like Nanna.
Are YOU excited for Black Beacon?

It looks super cool but no PC release kinda kills it for me, playing action games on my phone just feels so bad.
no
I would be but it's not releasing on PC or console. My phone is too dated to run a game at this level.
I’m so tired of hearing about games years before they’re even remotely close to being released
That's how they build up hype and obtain investors.
@@StixPlayxwaste of time explaining this to idiots bro, they simply don't care enough to even attempt to use their brains

It's so sad that people are completely skipping this due to not enough advertising or CC coverage. But I'm doing my part, little by little!
Love the aesthetics of this one. Ex PGR Devs sparks confidence. Love the isometric view as well. Definitely keeping my eye on this one.
Glad to hear it!

Yeah esp when I play hsr and wuwa already
Technically that's not true for every character in the game, but yeah, I'm working on something myself@@rexconnor9899

Could mean emulator. Maybe they plan on something more in the future!
As cool as it looks, I probably will stick with Promilia. Hope this game still achieve success tho
This might release before Promilia!
@@StixPlayx Then I maybe play it for a bit
These character designs look really really good. 😮
I know, right?!

I need a PC release, so I'll keep watching over time to see if that'll ever happen. This game actually looks so cool
Yup! Hoping they opt for a PC release soon!!
I really really hope its not riddled with puzzles...
Haha we’ll see!!

is it android only no pc??
you had me at ex-kuro devs, hopefully the kuro-esque fast gameplay comes to this too
Looks cool but no PC version as it seems so ... pass.
While i own an android smartphone i prefer gaming on my PC.
OH SHIT HERE WE GO AGAIN , im playing 4 gacha games at the same time and now this goth style is black beacon is SO COOL , my phone is overheating
The Proof. 😂😭
Lmao yup
WHY change the isometric view? It was the reason I was interested in it
I have actually never heard about this game T-T
Combat looks interesting, I might play it on release
Heck yeah! Hopefully you enjoy it!
No PC release makes it less than ideal to play an action combat game for sure
Yeah that was depressing!!
The special effect is crazy..love the design character and ex pgr dev ? I,am in..
I quit pgr a few months ago. I'm excited for this
What no PC??
Im excited. Hope combat nothing like aether gazer though
its pretty exciting, thats why. hope we get it soon, love how pretty it is.
Hope you can make you're own character
ANOTHER ONE THX U NEXT
Mobile only? That's sad, if the game is good it would do well on PC.
They might still do so depending on feedback!
Any news on Unending Dawn?

I’d play if it had a pc version. My phone could run this but I just hate playing action games on my phone lol
Only mobile and only men with masks?
I might be interested in a PC or PS release. The pictures look really great though. Seems like a good story.
Hm...nays és personagem brilhante lindas
They deleted all their reddit and youtube videos, why?
So, no pc?
Release date?
Character looks good, but battle system is a no for me. Too many better gachas coming in 2025 already.
Yaey another cash grab..
Males? And for that reason, I'm out
