Hi. Thank you 🙏🏻 and thank you for watching. The lights are Lazer lights with amber filters on which really help in those conditions. They’re amazing at night 👍🏻
Many thanks Rob. It was one of our favourite days for sure. We were blown away by the scenery and the wildlife and we felt lucky to have experienced those temperatures 🙏🏻🚐💨❄️🥶
Hi Andy and Kath, thanks for sharing!! What a wonderful journey you guys made!! and a VW engine that doesn't warm up well, that doesn't seem so good indeed. you are definitely great adventurers!
Hi guys. Thank you. Yes the engine temperature was a problem. The wind chill would have made the temperatures plummet well below -42 for sure so it’s not surprising. We sorted it out the next day 👍🏻🚐🥵
Hiya. Love your vlog and great to see someone in a poptop van touring up there rather than a motorhome or van. We are heading up to north Norway (but not in the depths of winter as you brave souls!) and are wondering whether you wildcamp in the poptop. Do you feel safe? Many people seem to sleep downstairs as they feel safer and less noticeable but we can never be bothered to re-jig the van every night to pull the bottom bed out! Any advice/info gratefully received. Thanks.
Hi Joanne. Thanks for your comments and watching our vlog. Yes we absolutely wild camp in Norway, Sweden and Finland with no problems whatsoever. We feel incredibly safe and confident to do so. No one gives you a second glance as long as you are parked appropriately and respectfully of course. There are occasions when we have to use sites but only if we really have to and they tend to be much cheaper than UK sites. If you need any information please feel free to contact us (Insta message is probably the best) Hope to see you up there sometime. Safe travels.
Well you two had an exciting day ! What were your temperatures inside during the night ? We have the underslung Eberspacher heater in our T5 and it’s good to know it can handle those conditions not that we get them here in the U.K. We usually lower our top bunk at night and pull the mattress forward to cover the access hole so as to limit the area we need to heat meaning the Eberspacher has to work less. Who knows we may emulate your adventures in the future. 👍🏻🇬🇧
Hi. It was indeed exciting. Our inside temperature was around 20°C and we were only up at half on the thermostat. It does an incredible job. We now have almost 30,000 hours on it and it still purrs away. You should definitely go if you can, it’s a stunning area 👍🏻🚐💨❄️
Fabulous video. I really love your headlights. Never seen anything as bright. Stay safe.
