Today, i ( NaniLuv1_ ) reacted to something beautiful... somethin Special.. K-Pop & BTS related news! I've heard it be hyped up but i thought it was a trend but im actually thoroughly impressed! I reacted to BTS for the FIRST TIME and i might just binge watch more later today tbh. Tell me what songs i should react to next? At one point BTS asked for ARMY to stop sending them gifts and to spend the money on ourselves. We can send letters but no gifts. Once that happened that is how all the projects started in their name and it caught on like wildfire in such a great way.Doing good for others is good for ourselves too. I'm proud to be ARMY!

the free concert was actually to promote SK and Busan for EXPO, so the administration should have paid for it but they didn't
The "freebies"? Yeah....they've done MANY concerts and "movies" in actual movie theaters. Even for those, many fans make up "ARMY Packs" to give out for them.
My youngest and I just saw the D-Day "movie" a few weeks back. We got little boxes, I printed out "What's in Your ARMY Pack" stickers to put on them, with the contents (Yoongi/Suga/Agust D bookmarks, photo cards, stickers, a mini-notebook, and - OUR tradition - a couple of Starburst candies)...all but the Starbursts (of course) hand-made by the two of us.
We had a blast!

Boracity is the BEST!! You can find so many great video docu-essays on BTS. She breaks things down so intelligently, and she brings receipts! I'd love to see you react to more of Boracity. Her channel is just on BTS. You may want to scroll through some of them to see which one's you might find interesting. A lot of the old and new BTS reactors on UA-cam react to many of her docu-essays. It's definitely a great resource channel to subscribe to. 💜

@naniluv1_live I'm not sure about whether other groups have a similar channel to hers or not. As far as I know, she only does on BTS. She's extremely intelligent and analytical in her videos as well. 💜

It's true that there's a portion of toxic people but let's be honest, there's people like that in EVERY community. Sadly the toxic ones are really loud and army is a big fandom =more people. So, many think the whole fandom is like that when in reality army is one of the most generous and united fandoms ever and like this video proves, we have been changing fandom culture.💜 I still don't get how some people celebrates their own favs being harassed or being stalked by some "fans". That sht is insane 💀
I honestly think that even if we did the purple ribbon project, the situation in airports is still out of control in many countries. Especially In France and Korea bc that has happened a lot, but also the part of that crowd that literally runs like animals towards the members and shoves their phones to their faces are mostly saesangs. (People who stalks bts and even share or sell their private information. Some have been blacklisted by BigHit too).
BTS has taught/helped heal so many of us with their message of love yourself. Every album has at least one song with social commentary/criticism. They model such good behavior we strive to make them proud of us. We’ve seen them as huge artists picking up trash/stage at huge events so we model that by leaving places cleaner. It’s a loop of a totally different kind of parasocial relationship than I’ve ever seen. 😊❤

in sk men can enlist any time before they turn 28. for bts it was postponed till 30 because they were awarded with Cultural Merit medal. Jin, the oldest, had to go in 2022, so he enlisted in december, and he's actually coming back this june! the others followed after Jin with some delays due to their solo releases, but overall they have all enlisted within a year. this is not common for kpop, usually each member goes separately when they can't delay it anymore, while the rest of the group keeps promoting without that member. bts chose to stop group activities and enlist together, so they can come back in 3 years as a complete group again. this is only possible because they were sure in army's undying support. for a regular kpop group leaving the stage and not promoting for 3 years can be considered death
The free concert in Busan (yes it is in SK) was put on as part of the bid to promote Busan to be able to host the World Expo in 2030. They did not win the bid. I think part of it may have been because of the crappy way they tried to organize the BTS concert. It was a mess from the beginning. They had no real plan. The only reason it was a success was because BigHit/HYBE and BTS stepped in and took over the planning. They changed the venue to a stadium in Busan instead of a parking lot they were trying to redo for it. If they couldn't even successfully put on a concert how would they be able to host the World Expo? Another thing about this bid is they used BTS by dangling their military conscription over their heads like they were going to exempt BTS from the military if they promoted this for the government. They were sketchy about this from the beginning. Little did we know that BTS was not interested in their deals and had already made the decision to enter the military on a schedule that would mean that they would only be gone for 2 1/2 years before they could come together as a group again. They also did so much extra work before going in to be released while they are away so we would not be crazy about them not being around. They planned this for quite some time because they have each released solo work (and continue to do so, RM's pre-release song is coming out tonight) and done many other things while away. Jin is going to be the first one out as he is coming back in June this year, followed by j-hope in October and the rest of them in June 2025.

i have been in this fandom since 2019 and came acros every type of army . i fully agree , actions speak louder than words , i was there when army were gathering money to match the donation for blm , and right now army try to gather donations and encourage other to donate for palestine and similar cases .
I'm a 58yo Army, I am also a Stay and a czennie but army membership is the only one I pay for.. I've been blessed the last 2 yrs to be able to afford it but at first I couldn't..I believe and respect the guys and Armies know that they chose to share themselves with us,.. I myself have given out cards as gifts and have received gifts... Also, there's such a thing as Finding an Army in the wild, which is like seeing a fellow army in public I've left a sticker on a fellow armies car at Walmart before..💜💜💜

This doesn't mean Boracity thinks MJ didn't have same sort of fandom reaction, but somehow noone called it out like that, maybe because the % of females in Beatles, JB, 1D and BTS fans is higher.

Yes, they are all in the military right now.
Yes, they chose to all go together in order to come back to ARMY and get back to work quicker. No other group has ever done that. There is a bit of staggered entry, with Jin going first, then j-hope. So they are getting back first. Suga went a little earlier than the rest too, but he is getting back around the same time, because he has to serve a bit longer. He is doing civil service (desk job) because of his old shoulder injury/surgery so had to serve a bit longer. Jin is coming back next month (June!) Hobi (j-hope) is due back in October. The rest return in Summer 2025.
I'm poor and on my City doesn't coming to the cine the bts shows, but once in 1of february of 23 I was in another state and I did go to THE CINE and was amazing, i prepare a lot of freebies to giving and stickers, but i have social phobia so i was very anxious, but at the end i give, and was so cool and amazing see the army, and i till entry one group of that day and after they give me my first official thing from bts, a cd of idol,boy with luv and light in japanese, and i'm so thankful for them till today, to bts and army.

12:45 well the thing is they didn't go in at the same time, but roughly around the same time. Like Jin(oldest) will be back June this year, Jhope will be back around October this year, Suga and the other 4 member left pairs (JK and Jimin, RM and V) will be back around June next year.

An army once posted on weverse apologizing that she watch a concert illegaly and BTS said that thye dont care and they still love her. Its not that thwy encourage the behaviour but they dont reprimand it either so...
Also when Yoongi did a solo tour he would come down to barricade and video himself using fans phones and one time he caught an army live streaming and just laughed and gave it back to her

Ok, fandoms have been around since the beginning of I would say Rock and Roll... Elvis and so on... but in Korea, it's on a whole new level... there are so-called fans that are called Saesangs. These people need professional help. And I'm not kidding. This didn't start with BTS, but it did hit a fever pitch with the beginning of the fandom. I would like to give you some examples.
A member of a group called TVXQ actually had super glue put into his orange juice. And yes, he drank it, hot extremely ill. He was in the hospital for several days. I believe that to this day, he still has problems.
Kidnapping, weirdly enuf is also another. A saesang got on stage at a Girls Generation concert and proceeded to walk onto stage in the middle of a preformance and tried to grab on of the girls from the group. There are videos on that one. The second kidnapping actually involved the whole group, I believe it was the group, V.A.V. they were in a different country, on a bus going to the airport, and when their managers climbed off, the doors closed and the bus left the airport. They were taken to an undisclosed place. All because the frickin presidents daughter wanted to meet them and get their autograph.
One saesang wrote a letter in her own period blood, threatening the idol. One decided to follow the idol into a men only bathhouse and took photos with him when he fell asleep.
One snuck into a house, and when he got home, he could hear her behind his dresser, giggling.
A lot of these saesangs and not just Korean. There is a reason why several groups buy out an entire floor of hotels. Ppl can't get to these floors unless they are part of their staff. One group of girls here in the states, around 2018 or 19, videotaped themselves gettinto a hotel room, going thru someone's luggage and stealing items from the room. The whole time, they were saying it was Jungkook's room. However, there was no way they could have gotten into his room, and it was proven that they were lying several days later.
These saesangs will get jobs at utility companies just to get addresses and phone numbers of these idols. Some will befriend employees of the companies to get their schedules or plane info and then get plane tickets on the same flight. Follow them to the States, China, England, wherever the idols are going.
There is one saesang that has been harassing an idol by the name of Naeyon of a group called Twice. He has even said they are married. He followed her and moved to Korea to be near to her. And one English saesang that got over 175,000 dollars worth of plastic surgery to look more like BTSs Jimin. First off, it didn't work. And second, he went on the Dr. Phil Show and actually said he identifies as Korean. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't care how someone identifies themselves. However, this guy actually believes he is Korean in a white man's body. He is known throughout the fandom. And ppl have told him otherwise. He just doesn't want to hear it.
Keep in mind, it's not just normal ppl who do things like this. About a year ago, right before RM of BTS went into the military, he went to a monastery and spent time with some of the monks, he went to get some peace of mind and understanding before he went in. After his visit, the head monk actually gave an interview and spoke about everything RM told him. It really hurt RM. He trusted the monk, and he went straight to a reporter and them everything, for money and prestige that he spoke to RM. Let's just say it didn't turn out to be well for the monk.
This post is already long enuf, but I could keep telling you more stories about these saesangs. All I hope is that these idols get better protection from their companies. They won't, but I can still hope. There are ppl within these companies that are selling personal info about these idols to saesangs and reporters for money. It's disgusting.
I will stop now, but I hope this post gave you a better understanding of what some of these idols go through. It sucks that they can't be treated as normal ppl, but these so-called fans put them up these impossibility high pedestals, and they can never come down. And it's not right.
25:42 there is a popular saying within the fandom that those people “hate BTS more than they love their own favs”. So tragic and miserable

About thepiracy stuff, boy we are millions of armys and you know more or almost half of the world is poor. And have army for all the places, and sometimes we just live far away of the City and maincity, for say a lot of armys are too from the countryside, I was when I meet them, and even right now I live at the City is not a main City and have armys here but is not part of the general culture, so even to come on of they stuff for the cine is difficult. Let's not talk about albums because, yeah you know, is my dream. About concerts is something that I even can dream About.

I don't live in South Korea and I know Busan is promoted for international tourism; FYI the country is a peninsula so is full of beaches like Busan and tourist cities, everywhere.
I'm quite sure they got the means, already.
I live in a small country full of tourist places too but there are only a couple internationally promoted, those have the best budgets, of course.
