Today, i ( NaniLuv1_ ) discovered something beautiful... somethin Special.. K-Pop! I've heard it be hyped up but i thought it was a trend but im actually thoroughly impressed! I reacted to BTS for the FIRST TIME and i might just binge watch more later today tbh. Tell me what songs i should react to next? This is my first time reacting to Kpop and i think its awesome!

I totally agree with your thoughts. I am a 58 year old ARMY and will be till the good lord takes me. I will be listening to BTS in heaven. BUT, what has to be made with NO mistakes is that there is no one out there that can ever compare to BTS. Even if they were cloned. These companies need to their own foot work and stop trying to be another Bang PD. The are original they are one of a kind!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Yup. You can't replicate the talent, the personalities, the chemistry, the circumstances and all the other factors that had to come together to make BTS possible. RM's second album is scheduled to drop in less than three weeks. And then Jin gets discharged right before Festa, Hobi in mid-October. The maknae line's one-year enlistment anniversary is going to finish off 2024. The reunion in 2025 is going to be epic! APOBANGPO~~~

I actually used to be a fan of them but through the years I just got bored bc I found their new releases repetitive or similar again and again after waiting for so long and also bc I started to care more about lyrics, artistry and stage presence.
Yeah RM is dropping "Right place, Wrong person" album on May 24th.
And all 7 of them already have done their solo work before the military enlistment.

5. Agust D - D-Day (2023) and he went on tour. And featured on Diablo IV Anthem "Lilith"
6. Jungkook - GOLDEN (2023) and FIFA world cup 2022 soundtrack "Dreamers" and featured on Charlie Puth's song "Left and Right", Officially released his track "Still With You" and released a song dedicated to ARMY called "My You"
7. Taehyung - Layover (2023), FRI(END)S (2024) and he featured on "Wherever u r" by UMI. And he re-released his songs "Scenery", "Winter Bear" and "Snow Flower" since they were not officially released on several platforms.

17:09 its important to note that bts dont just tell you to love yourself, they *show* you how. They write their lyrics from the heart and tell you *their* story, which you'll relate to deeply, while also incorporating psychological concepts from famed psychologist carl jung and literature. Those other groups that were singing about loving yourself? The lyrics are shallow & unoriginal. And most others do not write their lyrics at all nor do they get to choose or reject songs at all. Plus, when bts preach loving oneself, they mean it. They created a whole campaign with unicef called love yourself and gave 100% of merch sales and 3% of album sales to the cause. (3 toral albums equalled $7 million USD in sales combined, so 3% of that!)
Also, earlier when you were talking about a song called "love yourself" being recommended? I didnt see the comment but love yourself is an album trilogy; her, tear, & answer. There is a song called love myself though, which you should definitely react to. No mv, if you could find a live performance with subs that'd be best. Maybe try the channel enjoy bts more. Lyrics are important for this one for sure.

48 year old ARMY here. What I love about BTS is that they stayed true to themselves, refused to play the game in both the Korean music industry and the Western music industry. They had a number 1 song in full Korean with only a total of 6 radio spins in the US. The video was directed by none other then Jungkook or Kookie. It was also partly filmed in their dorm with some scenes in Hobie and Jimin's bedroom. The song is none other then Life Goes On. A song for the pandemic. BTS made it big in both music industries by fan support only. Bora City has many documentries on BTS and the music industries including being the most sabotaged group in the industries and paving the way. 💜💜💜 what is funny is even Bang PD doesn't know how BTS got so big. There was no formula. He selected 7 talented guys and hoped for the best. No one knew this would happen. I think it was fate/universe/God who brought these guys together. I also think that Stray Kids also has a unique start as well. Bang Chan actually chose each member of the group. JYP really ignored them for the most part. They have a say in their music just like BTS did. They will not be the next BTS nor do they want to be the next BTS. They want to be the 1st Stray Kids. They look up to BTS as leaders in the industry. Given time I do hope they really become huge and leaders in their own way of the industry.
Hearing you talk about the industry I think you will find Boracity Magazine's "Why is the industry so afraid of BTS?" very interesting. Most new to BTS don't know just how hard it truly is to make it in an insanely corrupt industry and just how much many both in the western & korean industry have been actively trying to take them down for years.

If they want to try to make the next BTS, they should give artistic freedom to the artists. That's what sets BTS apart. since the beginning they were writing their own music. There are more groups doing that now.
DUDE, BTS never stopped releasing music. the only difference is they are doing it as solo artists. All of them prepared music and content for when they were gone. Even now, while they are in the military, SUGA just had his concert movie debut in the theater, Hobi released a documentary and an album about his dance journey and a sound track to go with it for each episode of the docu-series. Namjoon is releasing and album in May, and JIN is being discharged in June from the military. JK, Jimin, and V, have all released solo content while they have been gone. And expect an album from JIN. And HOBI said there would be a season 2/volume 2 to his docuseries. That means another 6 episode show and another album release. And they are all still breaking records while they are gone. And BTS have their anniversary coming up, and you know they will be releasing at least a song. They did in 2023, and that song charted and was successful.

Boracity has some great in depth looks about BTS. You should watch her one about why the music industry is scared of BTS. They will not do ‘pay for play’ (streaming) or ‘payola’ (radio) but have still had number 1 in Hit 100 US single including Korean songs, without radio play or payola/pay for play.
Bro, good for you on recognizing the hard work. Yes, they are talented and serious about their art, but this is what a lot of ppl don't realize. Their hardwork is unmatched. They are serious about their art.
side note: I'm also glad that they're given space to do that
The formula is hard to copy:
- talented
- hardworking
- feel secure enough to be vulnerable
- they're good people
- they have good support system and are good support system to each other
- etc.

I hate the way kpop labels/companies throwing away their artists natural talents because they want to create "the next bts". All kpop artists are unique and there ia no need to become "the next bts". You can become big like BTS if you just be yourself. Diversity in KPOP which made we all fall in love in KPOP in first place. If they all looks the same as BTS or sound the same as BTS, there is no fun or suprise in music industry.
BP has more views on their music videos but those numbers don’t correlate with album sales or song sales. They are pretty ( I guess) and so people like watching the flashy mv’s.
Lol lets be real, they are very very pretty but that's unfortunately about as far as that goes, Lisa can dance, rose can sing and the other 2 are just there. But yeah they also get more views cause they only have 32 songs and like 10 music videos so they only stream the most recent comeback all the way until the next comeback. Pink venom is still getting like 400k daily views and its cause blackpink has been gone for 2 years so they got nothing else to watch, they don't even post behind the scenes or vlogs to hold fans over. And on top of all that, every single comeback sounds the exact same, I just don't get the hype

But k pop eh. BTS to me are musicians with a sometimes k pop flare. And went through k pop training system. But i don’t put them in that category. Esp as the years of their careers go by. I’m a mature female. I have mature guy friends that only like BP solely for the reason because they think BP is hot and their songs are catchy. I tried to show them BTS but they were not interested and not willing to dig any deeper than face value. When I said BPs song has no meaning, they literally said to me “why do we want to hear what they have to say? I just want to see them dance in revealing clothes”. Told me there’s no reason to argue with them anymore. They are only invested due to their looks. Which is very sad hearing as a mature female. I would want my fellow ladies to be seen for their intelligence and not just for looks. Unfortunately, it doesn’t help when groups like BP are really just selling on looks. Looks can be their ticket to success, but it will also be their downfall, coz when they get older, a newer, younger group will come and take their place
I can’t really get into girl groups in kpop. I find the sound repetitive and often time screechy. Also, I really dislike that they often act cute and innocent and sometimes I feel like they deliberately act like they’re not as smart as they are. Maybe that’s more appealing? I don’t know. Some of these girls are 30…stop acting cute! 👊🏼
I think something people should keep in mind is 1. Boracity Magazine has awesome content but as she has said herself many many times is her channel is a BTS only channel, she is only army and she brings the receipts that support her essays. 2. it's the companies doing these tactics. You can have very talented, hardworking artists but also have them be under companies that pay for mediaplay, do pay for play, buy awards, & pay for smear campaigns against who they perceive as competition. Both things can be true. All these corrupt tactics are likely not even needed when they have good artists but they don't put any faith into their artists as they prefer to control everything. Most of these companies do not view their idols as artists but easily replaceable commodities which is a broken way of thinking when it should be your artists are what makes the company especially if you want long lasting results.
RM is dropping an album "Right place, wrong person" this May. The full album release is on the 24th while there's a pre-release song coming out on the 10th.

(Or if you have time you can search it in google and I'll recommend DOOLSET for their lyrics) and most of the time you will think they are singing about girls but NO 🤣 there are more self reflection and/or uplifting songs. There are also songs that have very deep meaning so it's much better you read comments cause Armys will be there to guide you and answer your questions 💜

I'm a simple old lady who enjoys music and the thing that attracts me to BTS is the sound and BTS has a lot of interesting sounds. I only trust what I hear.
I'm always open to new music. I searched for new release everyday but if I don't like the sound I won't force myself even if they are popular. Simple as that.

Bts is and had been releasing content since they have been in the military! Jhope release a solo album Rm released a solo album and a new album will be release at 11:00 pm tonight cst in America tonight! JK released his solo album Golden recently and V released his album Layovers, Agust d released his solo called d day, and Jimin released his album Face plus a song for Army called Closer than this after he was already enlisted. Plus there is talk that he has another album to be released called pjm2, no release date yet! So they have created a bunch of stuff for Army while they are away! So if someone is trying to be the next bts they have a lot of work to do!

I totally agree with you. Super M had no chemistry which was very disappointing to fans of each of those members. They did not feel genuine even though they interact with eachother outside of their respective groups....putting them in the same group was awkward especially since some of them were never leaders in their groups and the most senior who was taemin was not sure how to behave around the other members since he was used to being the youngest in his group/ solo artist. It was awkward. When I saw them live in concert it just wasn't the same as when they are with their own groups with people they are close with and have chemistry with. It was stiff and the songs were just ok but not bad in my opinion BUT the music was very "k-pop". K-pop is very distinct and not everyone will enjoy the way each song is constructed. I've been a k-pop fan since shinee debuted in 2008 and have watch k-pop change/grow, BTS caters to everyone musically which helps them chart and grow their fan base (among many other things). They are genuine, interesting, have chemistry, love their fans and are themselves. Companies are stuck on the success of BTS and not the artist themselves, they are successful because of the ARTIST, the music is just a bonus.
As for 2ne1 they are no longer a group anymore but they have tons of great songs. At the time their sound was very unique to them. Some of my favorite songs by them are "can't not body", "i'm the best" and "happy" . CL is one of the members and she is on her own currently still making music she did a song with methodman called "lifted" and I also recommend "hello bitches", MTBD, tie a cherry, HWA and chuck. (I'm a huge CL fan, LOVE her)
Not too much on superm the music wasn't that good. But their chemistry was amazing have you not watched their show?? It was sooo funny.

@@naniluv1_livehey, just wondering if you could do this stream a few days after the album is out, it is a bit of an spoken/unspoken rule to not put out reactions to new releases immediately as to not pull focus away from fans streaming the songs themselves to show support for all the hard work that was put into creating that art. The MV for the pre-release track “come back to me” is also releasing in may 10th, same request applies, react to it but pls wait to post the reaction a day or 2 later. RM has actually already performed this song as “untitled” during Suga’s last encore concert in Seoul during his D-Day tour. I’m very excited.
RM worked on filming 5 MVs for this album, 11 tracks. He did it all before he left for his military service and he cannot promote his music while serving, so it’s extra important that ARMYs show up for him. RM is an amazing poet, lyricist, rapper, the best leader and the father modern K-pop.
I know you know a lot of BTS and understand why they are different, but it’s one thing to know, it’s another to feel and experience it. I HIGHLY recommend you dive deeper into BTS greatest gift to mankind, their art, their music.

I think you should do an album reaction for each individual members solo albums. Each album is completely different but are so good & all albums tell a story as a whole album. Also RM has a new album (Right Place, Wrong Person) dropping this month (24th) & a single from the album on the 10th.

12:55 its not even his marketing tactic lol idk how it started but i know kpop has been doing survival shows & shows to form kpop groups since wayy back in 2nd gen... groups like stray kids, kep1er, zb1, enhypen and many more were started by survival shows and they've been around for quite a while. theres quite a few different survival show programs in kpop and k hiphop some are show me the money, street woman fighter, girls planet and boys planet and ik some have been around for a LONG time.

The secret equation is ignored by all...its the factor that the group needs to share 1 small room and sleep on bunk.beds squeezed into the room. Thats the secret to have success. They need to start by working hard so much that u faint from.exhaustion or only sleep 1 hour a day. U must face adversity and be pushed aside by the industry and let you sit outside toilets to practise while other groups laugh at you. Thats the secret they not getting.
brazilian here, didnt know that uk-pop band and I used to watch xfactor. I'm not such a fan of kpop and listen to a lot of brazilian and international music, for Korean music, I usually just listen to BTS and their solo songs. Sometimes IU.

Kpop agencies and fans are so hyperfixated on "visual" aspect of kpop that they almost often forget about music. This why you see million album sales but their streams do not match, cause people don't listen to their music.
If you check the BTS stats across the board they will match: views, streams, sales, stadium tours, subscribers
You can't fake the fact that BTS can sell any number of stadi shows in any country in 15 min.

As an American female I have to be honest, American Men like BP for the visuals. That’s it. Plus they don’t really know any other female Kpop groups but BP Jennie was connected with the Weekend and did that trashy movie. Sex sells in the US. It is almost a requirement to see who can be so trashy in the mvs. It was not always like this. As a 61 year old who has seen the greats from Luther Vandross, Prince etc. I missed the old R&B so that is what I love about BTS. They can really sing from the heart and cover many genres. Plus they always give credit to the black song writers, choreographers and artists. I love to see that. 💜
I feel bad for a lot of these groups that are being pushed into being "the next BTS." I can't imagine how embarrassing it must be to be handed a song or concept that is clearly a rip-off of someone else and being forced to perform it anyway. The groups take the heat for being "copy-cats" even though its their company that's pushing it on them. If that were me, I'd be pissed.
Honestly I do too. It’s not fair to compare them since they are their own group.

The other 2 Mv he drops was 3 D ft Jack Harlow and he did a remix whid Justin timberlake on this song, the 3 is Standing Nex To You and he did a remix whid Usher whid this song

I’m stay-army now and I’ve seen all of boracity videos. I’ve seen this one quite a few times. She very much makes it clear that the marketing techniques and big companies and ceos are at fault when it comes to constantly making bts comparisons and being competitive. JYP is unbearably selfish imo and doesn’t deserve SKZ. Thankfully, the members are able to take it upon themselves to connect to the masses and produce fantastic music/content. But I digress. She never stated SKZ, superM, or BP do any of this next bts nonsense themselves. And I recognized that even before I started giving skz a proper listen when I saw this. 😊

They are a pizzeria, why are they improving all of their side dishes, making cars with ovens in them, and filling potholes in roads? You're a PIZZERIA, why don't you try improving your pizza first. In the same vein: You're musicians, why are you focusing on looks, music videos, and concepts? Try improving your music first! You might catch someone's attention with a flashy concept but no one will stick around for long if the song that it goes with is ass.

Why does BP have such a high number of views on yt?
Because they put their MVs into yt ads.
There are articles about it because it was used by them, Taylor Swift and others to chart better (or at least their labels did it). UA-cam and the industry noticed and stopped counting that when an artist from India nearly broke a record of first day views.
Interestingly Twice sold out stadiums in the US now. BP also booked stadiums but they did not quiet sold out...
In the US it seems that Twice is actually more successfull than BP. That people believe differently is definetly the result of mediaplay.
Boracity has actually a lot to say about the media in the US.
To be fair I know that the members of SuperM are all artists that did know each other. Taemin and Kai are known to be friends for example.
But I don't think we will get them back. Kai is doing his military service now (I think he will come back this year), Taemin has left the label and their label SM seems to fall apart at the moment. I hope for the artists that it gets under controll.
I'd watch bby gang mag to understand what "K-pop" even is:

It sucks that people right now don't know their incredible music and only focus on their influence. Ten years into Beatles' career everybody knew the Beatles, they had a bunch of Grammy's, everyone had their albums. But all BTS' great music is in Korean so no Grammys and the mainstream west won't even consider playing it. They just see a bunch of guys lined up taking pictures and say "why are girl's so dumb and frivolous?"

It's ok if you like it that's your taste in music but the company put them in an awkward position by pulling them from their own groups to form an "avengers of kpop" that's a lot of stress and unneeded pressure on artist that were already successful in the world of kpop with their own groups, some were way overworked. LSM did it out of ego and greed unfortunately.
