I did your new nintendo 3ds homebrew guide to mod my 3DS, and it was too easy. When i showed it to my friend, he was bamboozled and said that he had to get one, and that i can mod it for him using this method. I just wanted to say thank you Anton, for making my dream come true.
Hey man great video, have a modded New 2DS XL myself, so this vid helped highlight some potential things to look into. Also not sure if you like input from viewers for possible upcoming videos, but maybe uploading some content to explain how to manually increase the "NEW" DS models CPU/Cache clock speeds to the maximum level the NEW models can achieve i think through the Luna/GodMode menu, to make many many games a better experience, like using it when playing MGS:3 3DS port.
warning for gtb!!: It does have a chance to wipe your badges when used improperly and when you activate it, title badges (like badges used to open certain apps, eshop badges, mii plaza badges etc) will stop working

Essentially yes. It doesn't host developer's homebrew titles, but virtually almost any official game you can think of that was ever on the 3DS store is on there, along with select DSiWare.
for some reason i find that when i install a new title, it immediately overrides a space where i have a badge set instead of going to an actual empty space, and it never used to do that, any idea why?
There’s a limit on how many titles you can have on the 3DS home menu - 300. Unique badges count towards that 300 limit (for some reason). I hope someone finds a proper solution someday, but until then the best solution I’ve found is 3DSBank, also by RocketRobz (the guy behind TwilightMenu++) It lets you create another home menu (or multiple) to escape that 300 limit.
Ive found that i use the universal updater for discovery and inspiration, rather than a download source as some apps require additional steps that universal updater does not do leaving you with a broken app. If I like something in the updater, i download the .cia and install it manually.

For the odd chance you still need help two months later, either download a Snes9X CIA file and make a folder for your roms or look up how to inject virtual console titles if you have a New 3DS.
For me, I prefer to use the web instead of the Hshop application because we know that it can cause problems in the root of the 3ds files due to how the app installs the games.

There is a game that I want to import a save of to use its streetpass feature which is obviously impossible to use on emulators (probably forever considering how long 3DS emulators have existed without streetpass functionality). Hello Outstanding video 😊 I am new to the 2ds/3ds scene and i have a question I have a second hand modded 2ds with luma and fbi and i want to upgrade the sd card that came with it(4gb) to a sandisk 128gb (white grey model ) ,is this size ok or does it make the console laggy ? Is the 256gb ok to use ? Btw , for nds/dsi titles i have a working r4i 3ds flash cart with 32gb sandisk extreme , tested it on this 2ds so the 128gb or even 256gb will be used exclusively for 3ds games using hshop .
Anything over 128GB can lag out the system and cause problems with running certain titles, especially virtual consoles. 256GB is way more than you will ever need as well. My N3DS XL has a 32GB microSD, and that's already perfect for what I do. 3ds games rarely exceed 800 MB or maybe 1GB with software updates. The biggest games are in the 3GB range. That's only a select few however. If you do end up using a 128 GB card, you will have to format it to a form that the 3DS can read (FAT32). Its easy enough to do.
Also, I wouldn't reccomend r4 cards. They contain timebombs that go off in a year. They aren't dangerous by any means and don't do any damage to the system, but will make the card unusable and you will have to buy a new one. You can set the date back on your system to work around it, or you can use alternative modding methods (which is what i would recommend).

Well, the offical servers are dead anyways. If you want to play online, you'll have to use Pretendo. But yes, it is safe, you won't be banned. Also, as long as your version of Luma3DS is up-to-date, you can safely update through the system settings in case an update may come out, although I'd doubt that since Nintendo basically abandoned the 3DS now.
😭 Help‼️Does anyone know why my PC friezes and stays on 4% when I copy Zelda phantom hourglass on the nds folder on the SD card folder📁 It works with other games but every time I try to install phantom hourglass I encounter the same issue… I already tried with 4 different roms and I opened them on Desmume emulator on PC and no problem at all 😞

Theres an app literally called 3ds Controller that let's you use your 3ds a controller for your PC, connecting via wifi.
it's crazy how easy you can mod a 3ds now, back in the day I had to use the magnet method with a R4 cartridge, and before that it was even harder

Use citrahold to extract and copy save data between Citra and 3DS (the app can be downloaded from Universal Updater)

Exactly, my very old yellow r4i gold 3ds card can't function if any ds system is set to a date higher than 2011.

These things are all independent downloads. You'll have to load the CIA files onto your SD card and use FBI to download them.
