My take is that the chomp took place in clear enough skies and close enough to be visible from Dragonstone where a sight-the-skies watchman would have seen ot happen or at least someone on a ship. The book could be more specific but the show left it vague because it doesn't really matter how.
@thedragondemands5186 In the further away panning shot of Luke flying, just before the more closeup shot that ends in the chomp, to me is seems that there is sea and land visible in a break in the clouds over at the right of the frame next to the foreground wall of clouds, when the smallish dragon-with-Luke is a bit more than a third of the way across from the left. That is what I based my conclusion on, since we don't have more detailed information in the show version of what happened.
Yes, they were showing the connection between Rhaenyra and her Dragon while she was in labor. The one detail from the books that I wish they would’ve mentioned in this episode is that her stillborn child was a girl. The only daughter that she had. And yes, that was Viserys’ crown. The crown is one of my favorite moments in this episode! The moment Daemon grabs Rhaenyra by the throat made a lot of people upset. And I certainly wouldn’t defend his behavior. But I think there is an important point that was made through that outburst by Daemon. Rhaenyra understanding that Viserys never told Daemon about the prophecy showed both Daemon and Rhaenyra that Viserys never considered Daemon as a legitimate heir to their throne. I listened to your final comments on Dropbox. And I certainly understand why you are frustrated that the story ended where it did and that we now have to wait until the next season. Just keep in mind that this entire first season was meant to give you all of the story that you needed to have in order to understand this Targaryen Civil War. That was the reason for all the many time jumps. That had to cover a lot in this first season. There should be much fewer time jumps in the upcoming seasons. Although the war will cover a few years time. But that is expected to be told through another three seasons. The series is really about this Targaryen Civil War that was called the Dance of the Dragons. But we needed to know how things got to the point of war actually happening.
@@abdelhak_13 Thanks! I know I tend to go a little bit overboard with my comments. I’m just a huge fan of the whole A Song of Ice and Fire universe and have read all the books multiple times. But I never get enough opportunity to discuss the stories with fellow fans.

@arobin6695 that's not her decision to make, it's his. Baela and rhaena are betrothed to the strong boys, so whether she cares about them at this point or not is irrelevant. @@arobin6695 she wasn't on either side at that point, it does make sense she wouldn't just kill them all right there for no reason.
