- I moved to Finland almost seven years ago and looking back, the culture shock i got? There a lot of cultural differences between Kenya and Finland and number 7 was a big shocker for me, we have months in some parts of Finland that the sun never rises in winter and the sun never sets in summer....that for me was mind blowing. Watch the rest of the video and let me know in the comments what has been your experience living in a foreign country. #finland #finnishculture #cultureshock

Wow, good to hear from you and thanks for supporting my content 😀
Thanx Milcah for the insightful video. I can also relate to the issue of using the sunshine to guess what time of the day it is. I remember when I was very fresh in Germany I had to spend a whole weekend without the basic items after I found the supermarket on a saturday closed like an hour earlier 🙈. During summer months (June, July and August) its a common phenomenon to have very hot and bright sun as late as 10pm.
Thanks for sharing your experience. And yeah even here, supermarkets open and close at scheduled time, one time on Sunday morning, I went to shop at around 9 am without checking opening hours, to my surprise the shop was closed, aparently it opens as from 11am then 😀
This was interesting to watch ❤.
Covid did not really feel isolated because IT was kind of normal Finnish living.
Concerning Time keeping, i Have had discipline myself and half The Time i cant keep Time 😂
Thanks for sharing your experience 😀
How about "dark humour'? Are people in Finland more comfortable sharing their "failures" than "successes"? Any experience on that?
