Good to hear a Thumper working hard on the gradient towards Tunbridge Wells. It'll sound even better when the 3rd coach is fully restored and added to the set. Good to hear the electric motors and compressor sounds as well. Brings back good memories of Marshlink to Hastings.😊
I may be wrong, but I think the 3 car units lost a coach sometimes for fuel economy reasons on lightly used lines and to extend the life of old engines in the units.
Just love the sound of these Thumpers. I remember them around Portsmouth in the 1950-1960's.. Great video.
