@@lovetofly32 the chains are more for when he gets back on the likely icy road and disengages every other axle on the truck, the only thing keeping that thing moving is locked up 6wd.
@@arthurn9237 we have a whole industry just for keeping the log roads passable. Drill, blast, crush, haul, spread. Usually all on the logging mainline but I guess that’s why Oregon is the nation’s largest timber producer
I used to roll off the scales at 160,000 pounds with wet morning sand in a tri-axle W900 pulling a quad-axle Travis full frame end dump, then drive through morning rush hour… but thats nothing compared to these loggers.
That kw is an absolute beast of a truck just plowing threw that mud and muck and looking good while doing it kw's are trucks that are meant for working in all conditions
Fucking right! Logging Trucks are definitely the toughest trucks around! Not all trucks off road the same that's for sure. I had a 93 T800 dump truck years ago with a rayco spring suspension and a N14 Cummins and that thing would off road like a Boss! My current dump truck a 06 T800W with a C13 and the one before it a Ford L9000 with a smaller Cummins in it both have Hendrickson rubber block walking beams and they will wheel hop on a fucking pebble! These guys and gals that drive logging Trucks, gravel trains and tankers definitely do not get enough credit!
Not only logging trucks, but far more oilfield trucks do this every single day in Northern Alberta and Northern British Columbia. Tri-drive all locked-up with triple-tryggs can out bog a dozer.
I’ve spent hundreds of hours in a loader boggin thru this stuff!! It’s like trying to maneuver through a swimming pool with 3 ft of grease in it! You just hope the thing goes where you want it to!
Full lockers can be a blessing and a curse…Even on tandem drives they’re great for going in a straight line and digging when you need it but they make steering nigh impossible, you more just try to “point” the truck in the direction you want…and if the road is off camber even a they’ll tend to pull you toward the ditch rear-end first. This fella sure was a pro, when it started pulling him right when he got close to the camera man he just stayed in it and let the berm straighten him out.
It can be this way in the oil patch too those chains on our trucks aren't for show and we hauld water and oil out of the badlands here in North Dakota on that clay he is a good driver. Nothing better than a kw
It's like that one guy said, when he has his tire chains on his drives, you can take it from a over the road truck, to a tank in just a few minutes!!!! It's amazing where them log truck's will go when we put them on all the dulles, that means each set of two tiers!! Then you lock in both rear-end's then with the right power, like CAT in it you have an animal in your hands, but you have to be really careful, cause you can break a lot of stuff, and cost you big bucks!!!!

Real snowrunner 🤗🥰
Fuck yeah🔥 was thinking the same thing lol
I wish they'd put Kenny's and Pete's in snowrunner

Yeah that smiley face is gonna be the first and last thing you see if you were to rear end this load with a cab over truck or bus. 🚛🚚🚌🙂😯🤯💥😵💀
this driver knows what's up. perfect gear choices, never lost the momentum, and rode on top of the ruts instead of in them.
Yep split the ruts can’t teach that to end dump drivers 🤣🤣
Chains on his drive axle helps a lot!
He has one axle chained up... the 6 wheel drives and lockers played a big roll
Yes for sure plus all the weigh on the drive axle smart
He would go nowhere without them.
@@lovetofly32 the chains are more for when he gets back on the likely icy road and disengages every other axle on the truck, the only thing keeping that thing moving is locked up 6wd.
They're all drive axles though.
That's how good a set of wheel chains are .
Where did you see tire chains?
Have another look. They are on the rear tires. Middle set only
@@customconnections2425 that's understandable. Appreciate the correction. I carry chains, but if it's bad enough for them, I'll pull over.
If you’re a logger in the PNW or Kanuck w/o chains you’re asking for it
A lot of work going on in that cab!
Experience shining thru there driver. Good job!!!
Holy shit that's awesome
Do be loving that triple drive axle
That's called given her hell
Damn straight I think push it to the limit is playing on the radio
That’s one hell of a driver, that doesn’t happen by accident!
Hey kids, notice the chains? Keep some in your mud truck for more traction.
This is when you wish it was 20 below and the road was frozen. But you do what you gotta do.
That kenworth got a lot of power
In Oregon we just use gravel and graders or dozers and keep the roads pretty smooth even in winter 🤷♂️
YEA BUT NOT EVERE PLACE HAS THOSE CONVENIENCE AT HAND LIKE GRAVL NOT IN FLA. SIR NOOOO
ONLY MUD WE DON'T GROW GRAVEL IN FLA. ONLY MUD N GATORS

Amazing driver to keep his rig rolling.
All you got to do is just leave it in the gear you want to be in
And they are not afraid to slide around a little as they go. That’s is one way to learn how to not oversteer on ice or wet roads.
Momentum going down hill with all that weight, driver has big balls
Your a braver man then I cuz surely I'd not put my pretty Kenworth there where I'm from in Maine that much mud keeps men home
Indeed bro it's alot of mud
Get her done wait was that a smile face on that log and me in snowrunner
Shew them loggers are drivers!...such a nice truck to go ripping through a mess but gotta get paid

That's a badass driver trying to meet God early.
Loader operator got jokes. Look at the smiley face
WOW, Always impressed with these
Hello Connie
The ground under that muck must be pretty solid for the truck and chained drive wheels to get traction to drive through it.
God bless the technician that has to work on that truck.
The new Spintires looks great!

Been there a bunch of times. Bush mudd ain't no joke, once you get to moving don't stop till you hit pavement, brings back allot of memories
There’s no way a truck can stand up to that for long . Crazy .
Only every day.
6 wheel locking Axles, these are Purpose built Rigs. These are not your typical Trucks.
YEA BUT THEY DO IF THE OWNER KEEP'S IT CLEAN
Some of these trucks see 1,2 or even 3 million miles some see double or even triple that. Replacing everything even down to the frame rails sometimes

Drove a 1979 Autocar in the oilfield back in early 80’s on many a muddy drilling site. Them old a cars were like dozers.
Never worry about the horse, just load the cart 😉 kenworth.
