Basically, recommendations are shown to avoid having the problem that the battery does not charge but ... where is the solution once you have the problem? I'll appreciate your answer
Lipo’s will last longer/ more cycles if left about 50% charged. Thats why the dji automatically discharges the battery to extend its life. Smart on dji’s part so people don’t complain about short battery life. As for only using dji charger i am sure dji loves to hear that and it is solid advice but, there are a few after market multi chargers well tested by many flyers that work excellent. All in all good video thanks.
So I’m assuming the temperature was the reason why it wasn’t charging for me. I turned on my heat dish and rotated the battery cautiously. Connected the battery to the drone pressed the button to engage power and... It did not turn on. Then I plugged it the provided Dji wall adapter and then it started to WORK!! My battery is currently charging :) thank you!
hello I have my mavic 2 zoom battery and it does not charge, only the rona light comes out in the charger and the battery does not turn on any light !! I am looking for a solution
Great vid, thanks man. I have a pro one with a quad charger. All my batteries always charged full, but now I have one that looks like it wants to for 2 minutes or so, then the light goes red. Not sure what’s going on. I haven’t dropped it, or got it super wet. We do fly in the snow, but never to much wetness. Any thoughts? 🍻
So you have a new mavic or mavic 2 zoom or pro and you go to charge the battery and it won't charge. So what do you do. Well Im going to answer that for you today. I will go over some trouble shooting and some simple solutions that will fix that issue. I just unpackaged a new mavic pro zoom and the battery won't charge, unless I missed something was that not supposed to be answered above? I can only think my charger or the battery is faulty nothing else makes sense?
Thanks for the tips. One battery wouldn't charge right after using it and showed an orange light on the charger. thank you for explaining what happened. Letting my batt cool down a bit. :)

We had some batteries that were stored for a long time over covid and come up with a red light on the charger (DJI Mavic 2 Pro). No green on the battery, which tells me they are likely to 0 or close, which I see may be beyond recovery. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I have a new mavic air fly more combo, and two of the three batteries wont take a full charge. Ive flown the drone a total of about 2 minutes. just a quick test and to adjust some settings. I was planing on flying today, charged all my batteries last night. Then today 2 of them were around 88% not sure whats going on, guess I have to contact DJI and be disappointed by their customer service.
DJI have great customer service you will be very happy with it. And yes you need to call sounds like you got some bad batteries for sure. Hope it all works out ASAP
Thanks for the info, the cold was definitely what caused my issue... live in the northern mid-west and had left everything out in my truck for 3 days in a row... temperature still getting down in the teens at night here. Mine didn't even glow orange... nothing lit up. Had it inside for 2 days and then put it on the charger over night. All good in the morning with full charge green.
Normally when using that charger it charges one at a time starting with the battery with the most charge first and so on. But it shouldn’t take that long. Try to update the firmware on the charger.
I have a battery that will power on, but it will not power the drone. Three solid green lights stay on. Also, when plugged into the charger, it will not charge up. I'm not sure what to do with it. Please help.
So two of my three batteries light three of the four lights up when charging I don't know what to do and I need to use my drone tomorrow so please help i also have the DJI mavric pro
the multi charger only charges one at a time. It charges the most charged first then goes on the next battery. I think this is what is happening to you from what i read.
Great job Man. Very clearly explained. Just got my Mavic 2 Pro yesterday. Couldn't read the tiny text in the DJI manual and was looking for info on charging my batteries. Question: How long does it take to charge a battery? Thanks for posting this. Subscribed!
On avg it takes 70-90 minutes if its down to 25% witch is when I have mine come home. You will love this drone I just used mine today for some epic vlogging for one of my clients. Thanks for the support
@@614Lyfe Yes, I'm stoked I finally got one. Glad I waited as I had been considering the original Mavic and Phantom 4 Pro for some time until the M2P came out.. Charging all 3 now for the first time. Would have been cool if DJI included a "time remaining" counter in each battery or the charger itself. Next time I charge I think I'll do a video of the batteries charging up from 20, 35 and 50% to determine approximate charge times and also with the car charger for comparison. Looking forward to the first flight soon, weather permitting. Thanks for your quick reply!
@@614Lyfe I just timed the charging of my 3rd new battery. It took 72 minutes so you were correct about the charge time. The only thing is I don't know what percent charge it had coming from DJI. I pressed the button on the battery but the LEDs didn't light up, so whatever charge they had must have been pretty low. LEDs also did not light on the other 2 before I charged them. Anyways, this gives me an estimate on charging batteries out in the field. If I fly continuously, let's say 25 minutes on each battery then 3 batteries would give me 75 minutes, plus time to change batteries after landing and assuming I got back up in the air quickly with the next battery. I really don't foresee doing this but I think it's safe to say that it would be wise to buy at least 1 more battery and 2 or 3 more would be best. This would allow used batteries time to cool down before recharging and avoid the temperature problem you mentioned.
2 More questions... at 2.07 You said "Did you overcharge the battery"... How would that be possible? That's one big reason that DJI created these intelligent batteries. Secondly... I was wondering if when you saw that the battery LED was Orange, did you remove it from the charger for awhile and reconnect later it or did you just leave it on the charger and it started charging on it's own when it became warm enough? Also, when bringing Mavic batteries on an airline, I believe they must each be kept in a LIPO bag, if I'm not mistaken. It Damn sure wouldn't hurt...
The way that hub works it charges the battery that is the fullest first. When that gets charged it moves to the next and so on. So it only charges one at a time.

Hi, Need your help with a question about my DJI Mavic Pro batteries...I bought 2 extras, used all 3 in CA for about a year w/ not a lot of use (12 hours total between all 3), stored them for about a year, and then moved to FL. Now that I'm in FL, I tried charging my 3 DJI batteries on my DJI charging hub. 1 battery blinked 25% green and appeared to be charging, the other 2 batteries lights didn't come on at all. I charged all 3 on the hub for about 10 hours. Each battery will not come on once placed in my drone. Do I need 3 new batteries? Or is there a way to charge these batteries? Please advise. I'd hate to pay another $150 each X 3 for new batteries if I don't have to. And, in your next battery video would you please address battery troubleshooting? Thank you for your help. Cindy

These batteries are shit. They have a crazy fast self discharge rate, likely due to the BMS that stays active when OFF, so after a year or two of non-use, they are DOA vs being 50% down on charge or so. At $150 per, that is crazy. Even old lead acid can last longer than that.
