I got to play for her concert in Detroit and during the time when I didn't have to play I went into the audience and got to hear her play this live. I jumped up and down and sang my heart out and it was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had at a concert. I'm normally really reserved but this just got to me. ILY AFP!
valyazhnaya Where can we hear your music?
Seriously, how is this NOT everyone's favourite song ever? It's totally mine. I love all AfP's work, but this song just floors me on every listen...and I've listened to it hundreds of times!
Anyone still here? Cause I just got here and I really like this music!
Am I too late?

her music is... cleansing. if you truly listen, it's so moving. the emotion, the talent, the pain, you can almost touch it.
I wish my dead ex, Lauren, could've seen you in Key West before she passed away back when you actually came to Florida (answering my prayers yet still missed out on the experiencing of it by both Lauren and myself). Please, come back sometime soon. This was one of her favorite songs of all time, not just of yours. Same w me. Long Live Amanda Fucking Palmer. #Amen ❤
Dramatic and powerful! .....one of my many favorite songs by Amanda. Filled with emotion and willingness to sing about unthinkable things as few artists are willing to do these days!
Coupled with the genius of Ben Folds, this song is elevated to a whole level and I never get tired of watching or hearing this!
In my mind, music expresses an elemental originality or primitive mood, while language expresses a concrete idea. For me this song blends perfectly the constant pendulum of conflicting emotions in perfect musical rhythm to Amanda's lyrical outpourings. Outpourings of an internal dialectical argument that depression wages ceaselessly in the melancholic individual. There are three distinct voices battling here...
if you know any other songs that do the same thing a referral would be amazing dear person who commented 9 years ago
"the pieces don't fit together so good / from all the breaking and all the gluing back" - story of my fucking life.
Her passion and intensity shows through in her music and her voice gives me chills. I love her more than I could ever express. WKAP helped me through some of the darkest times and thoughts in the last year.
do you think its a burden for her, being that epic all the time?
I think it's impossible for her to be less than epic lol ❤️
4 Amanda MFEpic Palmer ? Hmmmmmmm that's a good question
I don't know. Is it getting easier not to care?
I do have to say
I really love Amanda Palmer
Her music is so wonderful
Her lyrics are awesome
and her shoes.
I like her shoes
:D
Best song on the album...incredible
Is it enough to have some love
Small enough to slip inside a book
Small enough to cover with your hand
Because everyone around you wants to look
It is enough to have some love
Small enough to fit inside the cracks
The pieces don't fit together so good
For all the breaking and all the gluing back
And I am still not getting what I want
I want to touch the back of your right arm
I wish you could remind me who I was
Because every day I'm a little further off
But you are, my love, the astronaut
Flying in the face of science
I will gladly stay an afterthought
Just bring back some nice reminders
Is it getting harder to pretend
That life goes on without you in the wake
And can you see the means without the end
In the random frantic action that we take
And is it getting easy not to care
Despite the many rings around your name
It isn't funny and it isn't fair
You've travelled all this way and it's the same
But you are, my love, the astronaut
Flying in the face of science
I will gladly stay an afterthought
Just bring back some nice reminders
I would tell them anything to see you split the evening
But as you see I do not have an awful lot to tell
Everybody's sick for something that they can find fascinating
Everyone but you and even you aren't feeling well
Yes you are, my love, the astronaut
Crashing in the name of science
Just my luck they sent your upper half
It's a very nice reminder
It's a very nice reminder
And you may be acquainted with the night
But I have seen the darkness in the day
And you must know it is a terrifying sight
Because you and I are living the same way
Thank you... No Moji for my bow and prayer like hands
This is perhaps my favourite song on this album. Her vocals, music, and lyrics are all just so great.
She has really evolved and also is inspirational to me. Thanks Amanda.
I saw her at the crystal ballroom in Portland where she said she wrote this song and she cried. It moved me and broke my heart all at once.
AFP is wonderful. I love to put my headphones on, crank the volume and just ~feel~ her songs.
~
This song reminds me a lot of the Doctor and River
This song is so amazingly beautiful, so strong and powerful. Love it all the way from Puerto Rico!
I actually like the low budget look of these videos...feels more authentic somehow. Less Hollywood and more Indie I guess.
Truly a masterpiece
I'm so glad I accidentally stumbled across this song when COVID hit. AFP has helped me through so much...❤️
Omg I was the same way. I skipped over it for months because the beginning didn't capture me. First time I heard it all the way through was at one of her shows and I stood there thinking "Holy shit, what is WRONG with me?! I missed out on months of hearing this song!"
I relate so much to this whole album. Thank you for this. Understanding is everything.
Amanda Palmer reminded me that I have a voice. It was her music that got me to sing again. I idolize this woman for her individuality.
oh wow, This is such a beautiful song. I cant stop listening to it...Reminds me a whole lot of a relationship too far to reach. You give them your feelings a whole lot but they do not give them in return.
Because it's a beautiful song..........
Such a great song
This is one of my most favourite songs of all time
She's one of the most amazing musicians I've ever seen. Only she could pack so much talent, emotion, skill, and raw passion into a five minute song.
This is one grandiosely sounding piece man! Instant fan.
I can't fall asleep without listening to this song! Every night I listen to this song..! Well.. everyday!!
My favourite song by Amanda Palmer took a new meaning when I started watching I dream of Jeannie again.
I love the coat in this video!!!!!
I love this song!!! It's my favorite out of the album.
Amanda is a genius. Holy moly, what an awesome human being she is.
I came across Who Killed Amanda Palmer on my iTunes after a year, or so, and I still love it just as much as I did when it was released.
Amanda's music is so AMAZING, it's like in each song she knows how i feel and want to express myself which i assume how all her other fans feel as well.
I'll never tire of this.
love this track!
The beginning is just amazing. (:
Amanda. I love you. Thanks for saving a lot of our souls.
I'm REALLY happy I stumbled upon Amanda Palmer and also the The Dresden Dolls. She's probably in my top ten fave artists...
I THANK MY FAVORITE AUTHOR FOR MARRYING HER SO THAT I COULD STUMBLE ACROSS HER MUSIC HAHA

Exquisite. x

I feel this more and more…
It's all so bloody bananas. I think one has to be straddling the line between crazy and genius to understand it all.
Just learned this on piano. Well, it's definitely easier than it sounds at least :P
This is the song that introduced me to her and the Dresden Dolls. And here I am, years later, going to a Dresden Dolls concert this weekend :D
I love how she just goes crazy on the piano. So much TALENT :)
How have I never had the patience to listen to this song before?
Goosebumps all the way!
And she continues to amaze me.
i LOVE that little hand thing she does @ 3:00!! i always have to do that now whenever i listen to this song!! its kinda awkward when im at a stop light....but totally worth it!!
@Nakkinak

I cannot express how much I love this woman
This is such a good, good song.
I've just watched this for the first time, and was thinking to myself the whole way through 'You could do an excellent fanvid for River Song and The Doctor using this song.' Obviiously someone beat me to it...
Sooooo agreeed man
xoxo
Love this song 1 of my favorites *_*
Woo! Seeing her in Northampton tonight!
She is so beautiful and inspiring in every way.
One of her greatest, without a doubt.
I saw Amanda & the Danger Ensemble last nite at the Corner Hotel - it was truly wonderful. She is so incredible!!!! Gorgeous!!! Funny!!!!! Honest!!!!! I could go on!
@Anubusjr u have no idea how talented she is...ive been a long time fan and yet she can still surprise me im glad u stumbled on to her music! :)
Amanda is the only artist who I think is worth buying on CD or paying for a download.
So right Bowiesbabe - it's just ....words fail
Boston Symphony Orchestra. She played with them (actually the Boston Pops, which are closely associated with the BSO) with Keith Lockhart conducting about a year ago in Boston.
Google is your friend BTW, as the Boston Symphony Orchestra comes up if you search BSO.
Because this is art and real talent
One of her best
Estoy muy triste.
Lo siento
Carter Tangen Sigo triste.
i love this track
AMANDA POWER!
Michael Pope is a brilliant filmmaker. This song has become a huge part of her live show, enhanced now by the Grand Theft Orchestra.
I love you Amanda!!!
God. I love her!x
I could listen to this song over and over. Such strength and emotion. Amanda is so beautiful, and sexy, and confident, and creative, and talented, and just plain amazing. I want to be like her one day.
i fucking love her! it's like... no matter what other people say bout her voice or anything she does what nobody does SHE SINGS FROM HER HEART!
Ampersand makes me cry more, but this is probably my favorite song from Who Killed Amanda Palmer.
@Nakkinak
I completely agree. I was so mad that I hadn't found out about her yet! Some people seem to overlook her because of the style of her music, but I think it serves the writing perfectly :) I would die for covers of her songs in just acoustic guitar or something though.
Happy Birthday! Why don't you ever come to New Orleans???
Makes Me Cry!
hah that would be pretty awesome!!!
I actually think Slide fits Amy Pond's story somewhat (apart from her not being abused)...
Doctor who and Amanda Palmer
wow.
I want to play piano like her! She is completely amazing, she IS art!
Why am I crying??
had no idea what this was and clicked thinking it was a crime doc
p solid tune
Amen.
This human being is completely awesome. The talent is incredible.
I couldn't compare her to anyone, although she has a bit of Hazel O'conner going on here.
thank you amanda!!!!!!
