Video No. 4 of "Marine Centrifugal Separator Video Series"
The marine purifier is fitted with other moving parts and components which helps the separator to perform efficiently. This video shows different marine purifier parts and function, which is essential for starting, stopping and operating the purifier in a safe manner.
The Purifier Friction Clutch working is shown with an animation explaining how it helps the high-speed centrifuge separator to start gradually.
The marine purifier parts consist of brakes which helps the purifier to stop at the earliest using brake pads, during an emergency or for troubleshooting.
The centrifuge separator, driven by a gear assembly and horizontal shaft, is also fitted with purifier attached gear pump, which supplies the fuel inlet to the fuel oil separator.
The 3 way control valve helps divert and recirculate the fuel to the return line if the system is not ready. Once the Marine fuel oil purifier is ready to take intake, the 3-way control valve will open the fuel to separator side.
All these functioning are clearly explained in the video with animation for easy understanding.

How the friction clutch is operating was a bit confusing
It operates due to centrifugal force. As the speed increases, the centrifugal force makes the clutch attach to the drum.
@@marineinsight But question is that when frictional pads are attached with drum due to centrifugal force thn it will stop the bowl drum ..
