Suzuki is probably best known for their small rugged SUVs but the brand would very much like to win over car buyers as well. Solid efforts like the small SX4 have helped but its Kizashi the brands mid-size entry that has the best chance of transforming Suzuki into a more mainstream car outlet. I just purchased a Black Kizashi SE for exactly $20,000. I love the thing! AWD and auto transmition. The SE has a ton of features! No reason to even upgrade after the SE but even the top of the line Kizashi can be had for like $24,000 if you wheel and deal. I looked at the Honda CRV, Kia sportage and Toyota Rav 4 and it was a no brainer for the price! Way cooler and more comfortable than any of the 3 and way cheaper with more features to!

I just bought a 2011 S with some options. So far I'm impressed. I hope that the car will last me a long time.

wow. this is impressive for Suzuki.
i'd consider buying/leasing one now. its really not bad for its price setting and its a pretty sick looking ride.

My biggest concern with this car is the lack of dealer network. There aren't very many of them.

I also forgot to mention that you can adjust the drivers seat(power) and mirrors to your liking and then push a button and save your settings. Up to 3 people can set things the way they want them and then push a button to save the settings. If you share the car with 1-2 other people then you only need to get in the car and push either # 1,2 or 3 button on the side of the seat to have the car adjust everything to you. A cool idea i think.

It's a nice car, it sure doesn't look like your typical Suzuki at all however it does look like like the jetta in the front and kind of like the civic coupe in the back if I am not mistaken!!

What a car! It was time to Suzuki to offer a car at the level of their talent. Just need to put a performance package something like a V6 and rwd and it's the key to success.

kbb - your background scratching noise is very irritating, can you change it or leave it out, I found it hard to watch the video with that noise always coming up, sounds like static, not pleasant at all.

In view of poor sales in north America,i don't 'get' why Suzuki never tried shipping it to Europe..this could have allowed the brand's fans to grow beyond the SX4

@Ebbsilen They already tried it with a V6 but the car is better with a 4-cylinder because the V6 made the front end too heavy. They are already working on a turbo-4 model and also a turbo-diesel. The car is already available in AWD i don't see a need for RWD considering that.

Just test drove a SLS Red AWD with 3Way Memory Seats, Duel Climate, Leather, Sunroof, Navigation, Backup Camera's, Push Button Start, Keyless Entry, Rain Sensitive Wipers, Auto Lights, Ambient Lighting, 425 Watt stero, 29mpg, 180hp, bluetooth, mp3 and wireless, auto gas cap lock, 18" wheels, 5 star crash rating, F1 paddle shifting, No timing belt to change either. I am buying it. Done deal.

The Kizashi GTI version with a hot turbo engine is sure next ... just like what they 've always done with generations of the iconic Swfit GTI. Wait up!

@wppdoes A need for a Rwd? Reliability and Sporty feeling...
If my 97 Corolla have a big 3liters V6 in it without a heavy front end, i seriously doubt that it is not a possibility in a Kizashi...

Exactly! I would by this car just because I dont want to be like every1 else. I checked Accord, Camry, ans even Sonata but the Cam and Acc dont appeal to me in exterior or interior decor. Plus they dont have my favorite scheme combo of dark blue ext. and black leather interior. Now low and behold, SUZUKI has those features and the car doesnt look like a vessel(accord) or a metalic manatee(camry) In closing, the caris just plane cool looking. USUALLY ur frst impressions are tru and mine is WINNER

@NadrianATRS Not all their cars were dumb. Example Suzuki Swift GT of the late eighties early nineties. They were Honda SI killers. They went like stink and handled like go-carts. Awsome cars.

It looks exactly like a VW like he said. It looks like an Eos, which is a good thing. All these lower brands like Hyundai, Kia, and Subaru are making very nice cars looking and engines, but there quality and crash rates suck! Anyways nice car.

@columbuscrewfan20 I don't know, whenever I hear it, I just want to say "Gesundheit." Don't get me wrong though, love the car. The name is simply not marketable in the US, too Japanese. I know, I work in market research at one of the top branding companies. It's not a race thing, just a cultural thing, the average US consumer can't relate, which is really a shame b/c this seems to be a very good car.

@DCLT05 They said exactly the same things back when Toyota stepped way out on a limb and decided to name their flagship car (at the time) with a Japanese name - Camry (kanmuri) which means "Crown" in Japanese. Upto now Suzuki's biggest hit was another of their cars with a Japanese name... the SAMURAI and guess what? That extremely Japanese Sounding name was a smash hit! Cultural or not, marketable or not ;o)

A very European design compared to its rival...Anyway,i am not really a badge snob but the Suzuki name is a no-no for me,you also have to think about resale value! This machine would be worth nothing in three years Never thought I would say this but i would much rather buy a Hyundai :-/

ATTENTION!!! DO not buy this car, is pure crap!!! I bought one 8 month ago, and the paint start to peeling off, also the radio burn the subbwufer 2 times, and now they have to replace my entire transmition. this car is beautifull but it comes with alot of problems.
