It simply can't be overstated how incredible of a job Dee Bradley Baker has done and is still doing with voicing the clones. As you pointed out they all sound similar but different enough that you can distinguish them and even recognize specific clones just by their voice. It's insane
I really don’t get why people are amazed by it, the voices all seem very amateurish and pantomime-y to me. Plus, his original clone voices are just terrible impressions of Temuera’s voice, he absolutely butchers the New Zealand accent and makes it into this bad attempt at an Australian one.
This is a very subtle reference near the end of the episode but Hunter's visor interface (12:43 ) is the same interface from the Star Wars: Republic Commando game from 2005 where you play as a similar squad of clone commandos called Delta Squad. In fact, each original member of the Bad Batch are essentially based on a character from Delta Squad, Hunter is based on Delta-38 "Boss," Wrecker is Delta-62 "Scorch," Tech is Delta-40 "Fixer" and Crosshair is Delta-07 "Sev." The story is even similar, in the final mission, Delta Squad is forced to abandon Sev, similar to how the Bad Batch abandoned Crosshair on Kamino. Unfortunately Republic Commando is no longer Disney canon but it's nice to see someone appreciates this masterpiece of a game from the Lucas Arts era of Star Wars. Also Kanan's (from Rebels) design is based off Kyle Katarn from 1995's Star Wars: Dark Forces, 1997's Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, 2002's Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and 2003's Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, however, this property was also consigned to Star Wars legends (originally Kyle Katarn was the one who stole the Death Star plans, now it was Jyn and Andor).
Dee Bradley Baker has actually talked about how he does all the voices for the clones. Apparently early in the development of TCW he and Dave Filoni worked out a kind of "chart" for how to voice the Clones. It is pretty much just a circle inside of a triangle that he pins to the music stand or whatever where he is recording. Right in the center of the circle is Rex. He is the baseline. If you hear any 'buck Private' Clone, you are hearing Rex's voice because he is just "a regular soldier." As Baker moves through the triangle to make someone "more stern" or "more nervous" as he ads their personalities and emotions, you get the different characters.
Cad Bane is such a great character. I know this is the Bad Batch and we always want to root for them, but you've gotta remember that Cad Bane can take out Jedi and WIN. He's one of the scariest, most dangerous bounty hunters out there. He's easily one of my favorite characters!
Cad Bane. Fastest hand in the Outer Rim. :D Seriously though the guy's hand was resting on his belt while Hunter was all ready to draw. And still Bane got him first.
Crosshair really doesn't like Omega I think he feels like she took his place in the group because before they met her it was just them going on missions hanging out as brothers basically Rambo and the A-Team so I think part of Crosshair wants things to go back to the way they were before they met Omega.
As a grammar nerd, I definitely appreciate the use of “different from.” 🤓 Cad Bane’s droid is TODO360. He is voiced by Seth Green, a very funny guy! 😂 I loved him in Can’t Hardly Wait if you have ever seen that. 😀
I think Crosshair gets super offended at the mere thought that he would be controlled by some chip in his brain. When Omega insinuates that he's not in control of his own actions he takes it to heart; almost as if she's saying he's not mentally strong enough (as if he's just like the other 'Regs'). Crosshair has always had a major superiority complex, even within the Bad Batch group.
Will you play through jedi fallen order? It takes place during this time in the star wars timeline. As an example the planet in this episode "Bracca" is the planet where Jedi Fallen Order starts off.
yes i am playing through it now! i am about 5 hours in on my patreon, and first playthrough episode will be uploaded on my gaming channel this friday! ua-cam.com/users/emmettv
this was an INTENSE episode. very excited and nervous for the next one!!!

seriously!!!! what a talented voice actor!
Plus he's all the creatures in the show, so it's crazy.
@@wwfnbafan not all of them

@@ruarikelsey1793 what are your credentials? You do extensive voice acting somewhere?

All those code names are so much better than the names in this series.
Especially “Wrecker” and “Tech” like seriously what lazy, stupid names 🤦♂️

that's so cool!!!
Wonder where Hunter would fall in that🤔

Kad Bane done this episode;) His appearance in the ending scenes was real shock for me)

oh i could see that for sure. especially since he probably sees omega as "just a kid" and his skills as far superior.
I’m hanging on the the dream that they’ll one day make a joke ending credits that just says nothing but Dee Bradley Baker
HAHA i hope so
Cad Bane (what a name!) is just awesome.

...we know that's not the case though.
I will not confirm or deny this.
I literally was heading out the door when you posted this. Was so disappointed I had to wait all day to watch. Cad Bane. What a character. :)
Cad Bane is awesome and seeing him again gave me goosebumps
"That's Crosshair. I'd recognise the back of his head anywhere."
Might be a little harder to recognise that back of the head after this episode.
