Clearly I need to pay more attention, because I didn’t notice anything wrong with the first video. This is what I get for putting off work to watch your videos on my phone at work. Thanks for the awesome content!
Your videos always make me forget about a bad day at work🤣 especially if it's airplane related but the vlog style ones are awesome too!!! Thank you for quality content always
Anything will run again. Depends on how much time and money you have lol Love the channel. Although aviation isnt my hibby I love seeing these old planes and love watching what you do. Thanks bunches!
I don't know if you do this or not, but just as you start recording, do a sample take, something you can use to sync up audio to the video, like a simple clap etc. Works wonders :)
If that engine is a certified o-290-d2 you should be able to get a few bucks from a cub guy with a timed out engine, parts especially jugs, and cams are tough to come by on that unit, it came in pacers, tri pacers, cubs, and probably a handful of other certified models.. but you might be able to save a guy for a o-320 engine conversion..
Hey Jimmy, Tuck Anderson here. My wife and I watch your show all the time and love ii. I have an idea for the fuel cells of the Elvis Jet. Use them as a trailer for storage behind the the Elvis Jet as you tour?!? Suitcase's , put a bicycle or motorcycle rack on top , maybe build a bbq and cooler out of one, smoke some of that famous Memphis bbq when you stop. lol Maybe build a pontoon camper ?!? Some of a few dumb ideas. The Oscar Meyer Weiner truck ain't got shit on the the Elvis Jet!!!
My father built an EAA Biplane. They're fine aircraft, but not all-out aerobatic competitors. My two cents: Instead of trying to part it out, I would sell the engine and then donate the airframe to a museum and take a tax break. They could display it with a fake crankshaft beneath the cowling. Maybe even arrange a partial swap for another of the museum's aircraft. I'd hate to see it scrapped just because of the demands of the Exhibition category.
I didn’t even notice it was off. 90% of the time I listen to YT on a Bluetooth speaker and there’s always a delay so hell I don’t even notice it anymore.
It slipped down the back of the seat... Maybe I could expand on this a little. I once had a Renault and my usual trick was to put all my gear on the seat beside me. Cigarettes, lighter, wallet and paraphernalia. Invariably, some of it would disappear. I couldn't understand just where it all kept going. Eventually, after a lot of faffing, I discovered the stuff was slipping down the back of the seat. Which was odd, because there was very little space for to slip through to get to the back of the seat. What I had yet to realise was that the Chassis flexed and as the seat is fixed to the floor pan, when the chassis flexed, so did the seat. Thus enlarging the gap where stuff could slip through. It was a mystery that took me ages to solve, but was well worth it when I finally did.
The reason for going from a amateur-built aircraft Category to Exhibition Category had nothing to do with what Jimmy said. The aircraft was built under the amateur-built aircraft Category and had a type certificate for that. After the aircraft was damaged the certificate was allowed to expire. After rebuild and re-certification, it could only be registered in the Exhibition Category.
The P-50.5 is a beauty , now that i think will sell well . If i was a pilot and had the money !! , well if i had the money who needs a license . What could possibly go wrong !! .
When do you think you’ll be ready to sell the tag’s for Elvis? Last time i said 8 cranks so this time I’ll say 1 first crank just saying no advantage for take two😂
For future reference, the starter will always kick off when the engine starts. It just means that someone tried to start it and stopped. It won’t kick out until it runs.
Jimmy you have chosen well. I don’t have any money but I still find a way to give St. Jude’s at least $1000each year. Danny Thomas was a hero of mine growing up and he dedicated his life to making St. Jude’s a first class hospital for kids. God bless him and you and your family as well. Today is Thanksgiving day 2023 !! Happy Thanksgiving Jimmy!!!! ✌️🇺🇸✌️🇺🇸✌️🇺🇸✌️🇺🇸
What's the logic behind having to report to the FAA where you are going with that thing? If something will go wrong with it, it will go wrong regardless of whether the FAA knows where it is or not.
I was tellin Greg about his daddys old plane. He said after he died he has no ties left to that side of the bloodline. He said he never got to meet his daddy in person but he would call 3 or 4 times a year till he passed
If your taking requests. Can you do another new version of this video. One that makes you sound like you breathed helium. You know. The Chipmunk version. Now that would get you some likes!!
Aerobatic refers specifically to flight, and acrobatic refers specifically to feats of the human body, so referring to an aircraft as performing acrobatics is wrong. That said, the word aerobatic is derived from aero-acrobatics and sounds nearly identical, so it’s an understandable and relatively common error.

The stuff will sale just like Bud light!!
Great Ad banner to help sell the aircraft immediately: "This plane killed the previous owner." - Awesome!

Same. Always have UA-cam playing on my phone at work. But I am the Boss😂
Exactly
I guess he did it because of the slight issue with the sound in the beginning.
How did y'all not notice the black screens?
@@BjoernKarlsson I think it was only once in the very beginning. I don’t remember any other issues
Thanks! You always make Fridays better
Thanks so much!!!
Good morning from Minnesota!! The EAA biplane is a great flying plane. Great episode!
Awesome great video thanks Jimmy and jesse

First video was just the same it had no issues that I was aware of. Thanks for the videos.
A "No Tears" start-up. Groovy 👍
Jimmy you did it again. Acrobatics. Nooooo. Acrobatics are for acrobats in the circus. AEROBATICS are for aircraft. 😂😊
You should read the FARs because You’re gonna feel really dumb when you see what word they use when talking about aerobatics.
@@MrShakyThumb whatever.
That doesn't make it right. 🙄
They used to call it "acrobatics" back in the thirties and forties, and maybe into the fifties. "Aerobatics" came about in the mid-fifties or so.
I don't know if you do this or not, but just as you start recording, do a sample take, something you can use to sync up audio to the video, like a simple clap etc. Works wonders :)
Nice one jimmy Keep em coming cant wait tilll you get your hands on the mustang crack on
the save the 310 bible says: if you want to do it right, you have to do it twice. Like prop mounting, elvis pieces stamping or video editing
Outside of not liking the background music in the beginning, great video.
Great video as always, good luck on “Elvis”
Noooo jimmy, 79-16= 63, just the thought of jimmy calculating fuel remaining over our heads. Lol .. let’s hope he has an app for that..
Hey brother we want to see more videos I really enjoy the videos thanks Jimmy.
Hey brother I am 62 and don’t know what u we’re talking about.
Yes, put the firewall forward package of this x-aircraft and find another x-aircraft that it will work on. 😊.

Take #2 had much improved audio. Is there a way to get it back to a standard experimental certification?
no such thing as "Standard Experimental"
There are 9 types of experimental a/w certificates. "Standard" isn't one of them.
Hey Jimmy,

The other video was fine for me... any problems , blame aliens 🙃
And here I thought it was just me! lol Thank you for your content!!!!
Dumb question Jimmy, did you look in the seat back and track as well as beside the seat for 00001....Just curious....
I thought the same thing, stuff gets trapped there all the time
Was good the first time I watched it yesterday afternoon. Tried to watch it again last night with my roommate and it was way off.
Love "The built in self lubricating smoke system!"😝
Cool biplane!!
I didn’t even notice it was off. 90% of the time I listen to YT on a Bluetooth speaker and there’s always a delay so hell I don’t even notice it anymore.
Now you just need a set of goggles to go with that hat!
And a long white scarf.
I watched the original and saw no issues. No black screen no out of sink or anything else.
Is the luscombe for sale? If so how do I contact you?
On my WWII jeep, I only use powdered graphite to lube the Bendix. Anything else attracts dust
Great stuff watching these planes get back into the air.
The first one had no issues for me.
Jimmy u know damngoodnwell if we build we gonna follow standard only thing " new" is improvements. Like safety..........
That red one is one cool airplane! Keep that and the lancair and sell the rest so it doesn’t kill you!
I love your videos ❤
Reworked video was definitely worth the effort.
You said " don't look at it " .....i looked at it !!!
Scull Caps are cool.
Would love to see you fly this one (close to the ground)😊
I can’t wait for the p51
Looking forward to the mini P-51 video.

I didn't hate the first edit. Sure there was a bit that could have been cleaned up but it was still worth a earch and entertaining.
25:35 hhmmm fire hazard !!! you might want an extinguisher or a Firefighter with an extinguisher . I would volunteer but im from the UK !!!!
Its only 11 hours over standard oil change time. But many calendar days past normal for sure
did jimmy stretch his face to get it that smooth
You need a longer leash Jimmy. Heh Heh Great projects. Watchin' every one I can.
Great video
How did you get the P51 Mustang 'Colt' back to Plant City?
When do you think you’ll be ready to sell the tag’s for Elvis?
Last time i said 8 cranks so this time I’ll say 1 first crank just saying no advantage for take two😂
At 15:30, Bryan would drink it. Lightweight!
Jimmy is a fine connoisseur of petroleum products , some might say solvent abuse . What could possibly go wrong !!!
Even if I had to get permission from the man to fly the haunted plane, I like it, I like it a lot 👍.
Trim on the tailplane incidence; pilot weight hands off leveler
I don’t think I can wait another week for the next video😭😭
Never saw any smoke!
Did Jimmy drop the F bomb at 11:21! :D
The first video looked fine - could have something to do with the beer I had drunk !
How did it kill previous pilot?
Didn't see that bit covered ?
slipped into the bedroom one night and cut his throat while he was sleeping.
You need to find a way to reclassify number 6 to part it out would be criminal, what can go wrong,HA!!!
Yes It will
For future reference, the starter will always kick off when the engine starts. It just means that someone tried to start it and stopped. It won’t kick out until it runs.
A stuck Bendix happens from time to time, and it will really make a mess of your starter motor.
My favorite plane of the lot
The only reason it fired up is because you wore that cool helmet.😂
Eight cranks...unless its cranky.
I can't believe you didn't taxi it around a little.
Yeah I had to stop watching the first one last night. The audio out of sync in the first half made it hard to follow. Thanks for fixing!
My question is why is there a five-day time limit for this particular situation?
Sounds like a Utube challenge!!
That's all my wife would allow me to be away... #happywifehappylife
@@therealjimmysworld 10 more years of buying planes and she'll let you stay away as long as you want. 1. more Elvis plane and you may be living alone.

I knew something was wrong with the first video as I thought there is no way that engine started on the first attempt...Great job Jimmy and crew.

Yeah, Greeley CO saved the day!
Take two
CLEAAAAR PROP !
Hey Rocky watch me pull something out of my hat hahaha
Could the oil change note have said 78 hours and not 18 ??
Where does Jimmy advertise his planes for sale? “Jimmy’s used planes”
The had would bring >$1000000 at auction, no doubt! LOL!!
Okay good job
so did you buy them?
no. never paid for them.

That info was incorrect.
hey Jimmys World at timestamp 12:26 79-16=63
Anybody recognize what kind of kit mustang that is?
Falconar SAL p-51. All wood, this one has a Ranger 6 cylinder.
Brakes are a drag!
Honestly the editing wasn’t too bad last time
Jimmy sometimes I understand you better when you say nothing😂
i was like: how long was school? when i saw 1 hour ago 😂
14:33 i see a castellated nut , i shall name it King Charlies .
Are you sure those are antennas ant not static dischargers?
it's a VHV nav antenna, commonly called "cat wiskers"
Tie down or chain back dont jyst block the wheels
The back was tied down.
I was tellin Greg about his daddys old plane. He said after he died he has no ties left to that side of the bloodline. He said he never got to meet his daddy in person but he would call 3 or 4 times a year till he passed
