- Bodie State Park used to be full of hopeful gold prospectors. This time of year, the only things you can hope to find there are miles of snow, and some of the coldest temperatures in the United States.

Great short video. I love Bodie in the snow. I've only been there one time in the snow back in the 1980s. Now I think I was kind of nuts because I came to the end of a paved road where it had been plowed and then pass that there was like 2 feet of snow on the road. I stood outside my 1966 Mustang looking at the snowbound road when two four-wheel drives came up behind me. They said if you wanna try it, one of us will go in front of you. One of us are behind you if you get stuck, we will pull you out, so I went for it. It was spectacularly beautiful. What was even better if there really wasn't anybody in the town. Back then there was no Ranger shack at the entrance for the parking lot. Just the Rangers who live there. It's a shame about people taking things from there. So sad.
Visited Bodie that town really paints a great picture on how it was like back in the day
I live on the other side of 108 before Sonora pass. Been to bodie many times. The drive is so so so beautiful. Bodie is amazing. Happy to be from my area and not too far from Bodie. Much love people
