    Mushroom Cap:
magic circle or chain 4 circle
ROW 1: 8 half double crochets into the circle, close row with a slip stitch, chain one to start new row
ROW 2: increase every other stitch
ROW 3 & 4: half double into each stitch around. no increases. Close last row and weave in ends
    Stem:
in the video I discuss how to interchange stitches to make different sizes. below is the steps for what I create in the video
Row 1: chain 12 and turn
Row 2. Slip stitch into first 5 chains, single crochet the next two, half double last 4, chain one and turn
ROW 3: Half double next 4 stitches, single crochet the next 2, slip stitch the last 5, chain and turn
ROW 4: slip stitch first 5 stitches, single crochet 2, half double the last 4.
(see video for explanation on how to adjust for length and width of stem to your preference.
cut a long tail to whip stitch up the length of the stem.
Fold your stem in half and whip stitch up to the top of the stem. weave in ends and cut yarn
Repeat until you have the number of mushrooms you prefer. (I have 8 on my garland and its about 3 feet long with a 15 chain separation between mushrooms)
    Garland chain.
Start with 20 chains, slip stitch back into the first chain to make a loop for your garden to be hung by.
Taking the cap of your mushroom, insert your hook into the center circle of the top, Then take your stem and insert your hook through the top of your stem. gently pull your hook through the center circle to bring the stem just to the top of your mushroom cap, slip stitch through the stem.
chain stitch the desired length you'd like for separation between mushrooms. I used 15 chains.
when you have the last mushroom connected. Chain another 20 to make your loop for the end of your garland, connect back into the chain, tie off and weave in ends!
