      @@Megamind-ds6zj we actually broke up a little less than a month ago but we’re still really good friends so that’s all good. He still has the mushroom i made for him as well as a few other gifts. Sometimes things don’t work out but that doesn’t mean it was a waste of time or effort

      @@clairemorrey81 I have actually. I've taken more to making blankets or basic clothing. I've actually started tunisian crochet as well and made a blanket that I've since taken on my study abroad in Rome. Now I'm working on collecting yarn here to make a big memory blanket of my time in europe!

    I’ve made two now. But I made them with bernat blanket yarn. So they are about the size of a forearm and I love them. One has a red top and the other has a pink top. Both with cream bottoms. And I used white buttons on the red ones as the dots on top!

    the use of the tail as a stitch marker is GENIUS, i struggle with working in a spiral so much because i forget where my original stitch is, and a stitch marker gets annoying after having to clip and unclip it 30 times 😂 this is a wonderful tutorial, thank you!! ❤

    This was really nice and easy but I wish you would fast forward some parts after showing us how to do it once I'm at 14:00 and it's looking nice I'm also using a thicker yarn but it is still working first mushroom tut I could find that's working out for me. Love❤

    I def recommend using the pattern in the the desc to go at ur own pace, but if you don’t know what each of the crochet things mean then u def need someone to show or help cuz without help I would’ve been staring at the vid like 80 times lol but I did end up making it and it’s so cute, a little floppy and doesn’t look like exact picture, it’s bigger than shown here but still adorable and worth the 4 hours

    If making this pattern in a large plush form would I be able to use this same pattern and just size up my yarn and hook to the appropriate size needed?
    I’m wanting to make this but use thick blanket yarn! 💜✨

      Yes it should work fine with blanket yarn but the narrow stem on the mushroom at the top may not be strong enough to hold up the top 🍄

      A bit late, but you can use any size of yarn. It will just make the mushroom bigger or smaller depending on the size.

      Yup, as long as you increase correctly. Thoigh with a thin stem it may not support itself well.

    im interested in making this but I was wondering if the mushroom is able to stand up straight on its own? like to put on a shelf or something :)

      My one stood up straight but was easily knocked over, you can put a small flat stone at the bottom before adding any stuffing to help it stand up.

    hey :) i was wondering for the red section, how does you get yours to be that shape. i’m not sure i understand because since we’re increasing gradually without repeating any rounds besides the last, wouldn’t it be (mostly) a flat circle? do you also stuff the top?

      Hey! there are two rows were there are no increases and you just single crochet around, 1 row after you increase to 30 single crochets and 1 row after you increase to 36 single crochets.
      You don't need to stuff the top, just place it on top of the white piece and stitch them together 😊
