    Please could you let us know at the end of each round how many stitches we should have. I brought so much wool and so much stuffing to make lots of these but I am completely confused and I have been crocheting for years

    I love love love these little mushies! My biggest feedback would be to add a final stitch count for each round, especially for those newer to crochet. I found that for rnd 5, when moving the stitch marker to the second stitch, it changes the count. Going from 12 stitches in rnd 4, to (in theory based on instructions with the 3 sc2tog) would lead to 9 sts, moving the marker would leave one more sc at the end which isn’t mentioned in the instructions, yet in the video you end on a sc2tog (and when I paused to where I could count there were 10 sts from what I could tell). That part threw me off a bit. I was able to figure it out either way, but just a little something to keep in mind ☺️ thank you for taking the time to make a beautiful video!

      okay so it's not just me. did you end up getting to the same outcome as her or are we just always going to be one stitch off? i'm going mad.

    Finally someone who uses felting needles and crochets! I tried to get into felting long before I even discovered crocheting and now I kinda just mix the two so I can still use my felting supplies for something.

      @@JessNicoleHandmade ikr I ended crocheting some wolf ears and tied in some yarn to make it fluffy but then I felted the outer ear which made it soft and smooth. It took a lot of time but it turned out amazing in the end.

    Single crochet: with your hook, go into the next "v shape". Then, wrap the yarn around the needle, and pull it through the v, and onto your hook. Do not pull it through the stitch already on the hook. Then, the yarn around the hook, and pull through all the stitches on your hook.

    Thank you for the beautiful pattern. But the pattern is sometimes a bit confusing. I think it works better with incr. Instead of sc2. It's just a feedback. 😬😁. I'm thinking of buying the patterns but I'm not sure yet.

    • @JessNicoleHandmade
      @JessNicoleHandmade  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for this feedback :) sc2 is just how I learned to write it years ago when I began crocheting, so that's what I use in my patterns. I did my best to make the written patterns clear and only use the sc2 when indicating an increase at that stitch. And if you ever have questions about the written patterns you can always reach out to me, I'm happy to help!

    • @JessNicoleHandmade
      @JessNicoleHandmade  2 роки тому +1

      Sorry :) yes, that's totally a term for seasoned crocheters. What I mean is to add/increase a stitch (Crochet 2 into 1 stitch) evenly spaced around, so that the shape increases in size evenly around. I hope that makes sense!

    Can someone explain to me why we mark the 2nd stitch and not the first one?

    • @JessNicoleHandmade
      @JessNicoleHandmade  Рік тому +2

      I found it easier to keep track this way, since it's worked continually in the round (no real beginning and end of the rounds) If you mark the 1st stitch where I noted to mark the second your marker will start to scoot one stitch over every round. I hope that makes sense! Let me know if you need more clarity :)

    • @JessNicoleHandmade
      @JessNicoleHandmade  6 місяців тому

      You can definitely use other yarn. I chose wool specifically because it felts. Felting helps in shaping the mushrooms after they're done. But even if you aren't able to manipulate the shape with felting, they still turn out cute!

    • @JessNicoleHandmade
      @JessNicoleHandmade  Рік тому +1

      Sorry if that was confusing. I meant to evenly distribute 3 increases in that round. So Single Crochet 2 into a stitch 3 times in that round, and space them apart as evenly as possible. Let me know if that still doesn't make sense!

    Lovely item but bit more consistently would help the flow of the tutorial. Stitch count on each row as you have done on other .
    Going "stagger you increases evenly" just interrupts the flow of your teaching style again and throws the viewer off .

    • @JessNicoleHandmade
      @JessNicoleHandmade  2 роки тому +3

      That totally makes sense! At the time, this was just the best way I could figure out how to explain what I do at that point in the pattern. Sometimes I find it really challenging to teach something I've been doing for years, you know, it sort of becomes second nature to me, but hard to explain! I do my best to get better at these tutorial videos each time I make one, and this feedback is really helpful :)
