I cant believe you are on those trails with a subaru!
She gets us to some remote places across Canada/US and still gets around 7L/100km. :)
Subarus are under rated for their off road capability I put a 2"lift and some bigger wheels on it and I have gone places that jeeps have trouble going.
Awesome spot by the lake! You know you can swim without a bathing suit, you had a secluded lake...🤣
You're 100% right. In my defence, it got down to single digits at night. 🥶🤣
Love all the variety of shots, commentary for context and tire/mud sounds feels like I'm there! More Zoey please ^_^
Zoey makes more appearances! Here at FRF Adventures we strive to make you feel like your actually there! 😜
Love it! You’re friendly neighbour.
So many super fun trips! So much ground to cover!

I recently bought a 2021 Tacoma TRD 4X4 and start exploring the Minden area.
Shocking beautiful area. Did a level 5 trail which was very difficult but still want to do more trails.
The bush is my second home. Just love the peace....
BFG KO2 TIRES?
@@useryggfdcc The Tacoma is a super capable rig! Check out my videos for quick release sway bar links. I helped a friend out on BC make a set for his Taco.
The Subaru is on BFG KO2 tires.
@@FRFOverland BFG KO2 tires are awesome.
@@useryggfdcc Right on! Quiet and handle well on the tarmac, and great off road in wet or dry.
Hey! A fellow Ontario Crownland roamer! Looking forward to checking out your channel 👍🏻
And I yours! Where are you based out of?
@@FRFOverland I'm in Kitchener...
Awesome video! And a little tip to help you edit, get a plate cover to hide your plate or remove when filming.
Thanks brother. Might just do that rather than masking. Can be tedious at times. 🤙👍
Subie handled that sloppy track with aplomb! Still gnarly, Hope you have a full size spare!
In the cargo carrier. Building a hitch mounted, swing out, tire and fuel can carrier in the next couple of weeks.
We are waiting for more great realistic videos from the channel. I wish to see something new coming up .
So much footage that needs to be edited! Definitely more coming on the horizon. Check us out on Instagram where I've had time to post short reels with updates here and there! 🙌
As if you took that car into devils lake lmao. (not recommended) The path sure is wide and beat down since the last time I was in there.
It's surprisingly capable. A little more capable now since we did this trip. 👍
Dude great work can u able to share another 2 crown land area
Tomorrow is my birthday and I wanted to go for the first time to a crown land campsite and currently doing research. Thank you for posting these especially so recent! I am in windsor so my trek up to these spots can take 5 to 8 hours depending on the spot. If you have any advice or any specific spots I'd appreciate that so much!!
Hi Horus! Happy birthday! Some of the trails we get on are very narrow. What kind of vehicle will you be using?
My wife and want to get into crown land camping, we are from Ottawa and have been scouting areas in calabogie. 👍
Bogie has plenty of great trails and crown land to camp on. Now we just have to bring some extra pre mixed chainsaw fuel to clear all the fallen trees from 10 days ago. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
Great ! Do you have a lift or just the bfg ko2 tires ?
In this video it's a small lift and tires. Later videos have a slightly bigger lift. More recent reels on Instagram are with bigger lift and bigger tires.
Subscribed! This is awesome. I'm new to Ontario and also drive a Subaru so looking for some good overlanding out here that is possible with the car!
So many trails out there. Grab Gaia, the Ontario Crown Land Atlas, a full tank of gas, and start exploring. That's what we end up doing almost every trip!
@@FRFOverland absolutely. Got Gaia. It would be nice to have a crown land layer on there. Cheers
@@tanmilne would be! It's been two years that Gaia said they were working on it.
Great spot! If you don’t mind me asking, which area of Ontario is this?
Hey Mark, thanks. I suppose this would be southeastern Ontario. A few hours north of Ottawa.
@@FRFOverland hey where is this specifically I'm in the area!
@@roastingpeanuts what area of eastern Ontario are you in. Might still be a ways.
@@FRFOverland A few hours north of Ottawa? That'd be in Quebec no? I'm in the Ottawa area as well. I do a fair bit of crown land camping. I looked up Devils lake, is this near frontenac provincial park?
@@_DP_99 Still on the Ontario side, but heading north west towards the Sault! 😊
Please share the Location
Can you share the location?
Hi. Great video. what is the TRIM of your Subaru? I am looking to buy to explore crown land
The one in this video is a 2.5 non-turbo 5speed manual. Fairly basic, after this one, we moved to a 3.0 6 cyl with a 5 speed auto. For more technical terrain, auto was definitely the way to go. If you don't already follow us on Instagram, you can see more recent adventures in our Subaru there. 👍
hi would you mind share the gps cord of the spot or the route information?
Where is the location ? Can you share the coordinate ?
Very nice place. Can you send me the place on GPS? Please
Is this Devil's lake near Westport Ontario? I have been trying to find ways into those Crown land sites on that lake.
Afraid not. This is over 100km north of Westport, as the crow flies.
@@FRFOverland Thank you for the reply. And I have to ask, aren't you afraid of getting stuck on those trails? Like if you get stuck down some of those isn't that basically bye bye car? How would you get out of there?
@@anatomyconspiracy9416 trick is to not get stuck where you can't pull yourself out. I had Maxtrax and a come-along on this trip and a few before it. If you haven't already checked out the later series for northern Ontario, I highly recommend them. You'll see the car got a few more upgrades which came in very handy. It got a few more upgrades before the trip we're currently filming in BC.
@@FRFOverland Awesome I look forward to watching it!
I would love to know where this trail is! My family and I are wanting to get into overlanding this year but have no idea where to start location wise
This is near Devil's Lake in southern Ontario, a couple hours northwest of Ottawa. The way we find most areas in Ontario is using Gaia, Google maps/Google Earth, and the Ontario Crown Land Atlas website. 👍👊
@@FRFOverland is that in the minden area? If so thats about 3 hours north of my location. Also are you interested in taking noobies out and introducing them to overlanding? I have a fully capable vehicle for off road but really want to get into overlanding this year.
Not quite. This is still almost 3 hours northeast of Minden.
Sure, you're welcome to join. Send me a message via the Instagram channel and we'll figure something out.
What is the location of this place ? Please share
Hey, thanks for watching. This is by Devil's Lake, Ontario.
Dude get a truck lol.
Maybe eventually a 4runner, but at this point the fuel mileage of a truck doesn't make sense, and I can squeeze the Outback where a larger 4x4 won't fit. 🤙👍
I'd just keep doing what your doing. It's working and looks cool!
