the kills actually don't matter for victory type. all the matters is how damaged is your army when you get the win. you can get heroic victories if you just rout the enemy and kill none of them.

If you kill only infantry, you fluff your stats. Legend avoided infantry and just killed single units. As the original Lord of the Rings said - It still counts as one! ;D
Agreed. It's absolutely infuriating that all it essentially does is drag the battle on. If your own characters are getting knocked down, it sucks because you can't cast spells, deal damage, or move. When it's your own characters knocking the *enemy* down, it still sucks because now they're invulnerable and it screws up your charge. Ends up leading to that goofy animation where your guy runs in a circle to try to come back for another pass instead of just staying engaged with the enemy and attacking them.... which means they come around and charge again and just keep knocking them down. Super irritating when you're just trying to finish off an enemy who's routing.
I love N'kari easily one of my favourites, his voice over is cool, speed, Slicing Shards is amazing if you go against blobs of infantry, the only downside is how fragile N'kari can be, if you're not careful he will die really fast.
Slaanesh is really a well designed faction in Warhammer 3. Can’t wait to see legend streaming the Slaanesh campaign since the hidden supplies line had been fixed.
I still think a "What is the silliest thing you can make a weak lord into with the trait manager?" Gimmick event would be funny. Though some of the Clearly Best traits are pretty universal "Max out wardsave, get unbreakable, get regen and the hunger, get magic from United mind."
You can do so much legitimately anyway, for example you could make a hero doomstack with Dark Elves masters/mages as they can get all the names of power if you disband them and re-hire them if they are immortal, as for some reason it just gives the name of power prompt again. Trait manager is just so lazy.

about stat cap : melee defence is reduced by 30% if defending against attack from the sides and 60% from the back, so a very high melee defence is still useful in some cases.

After all, these videos are to show what is potentially achievable with a single lord, not 'rate my efforts'. Just my two cents here, if you don't like it, you don't have to rate them. Pretty sure they always have been. It’s absurdly hard to make a near-perfect one of these without it. Some people rely on it more heavily than others though, and then it becomes obvious.

Well its unfair. No excuses for cheats. If AI cheats, you learn to counter that as part of learning progress. Lying and trying to get exposure is bad. Third once you cross line and start cheating, line will get blurred, that is exacly why he tried to lie to Legend. Because people get away with cheating they pull more and more shit. There were previous doomstacks pushed for rating and they didnt abuse mod/cheat engine. Partial rating was, how hard was stack to create. How hard it was again to use trait manager? He lied and even put himself in sylvania to create illusion. How fast that doomstack was avaible? well very fast if you get all traits at start and just grind xp. Im sorry but there is no excuse in rating anything if some people get 100% character progression from get go. And every "fair" doomstack that was rated by legend and wasnt 100% of traits is suddenly invalid. And lastly more creative doomstacks? seriously all lords will be copy paste and have regeneration and rest of goodies even if that trait is on other side of world and you need to meet special reqs to obtain it. Only valid reasoning is slow pc, but well Legend put his time to try your shit and maybe you can spend some of yours to properly prepare your doomstack, or maybe its impossible to obtain for you.

On top of that you're submitting to Legend, who explicitly requests you don't use it. It's against Legend TOS, like it or not lol. Use all the mods you want in your game, but he has based this series on official game mechanics; if they add it as a standard game mechanic, maybe he'll decide to start rating it. His channel, his rules.

One idea about this one man doomstack: If you don't plan to use many damage spells then why not use Phantasmagoria to pin units down to spread the army more and get easy isolated targets? Also I actually like this kind of one man doomstack since it's much more entertaining than just standing in the middle of a blob and casting spells.
Not sure if its possible to get that many traits in 100 turns unless your super skilled and just go out of your way to target every single enemy lord...so quite possibly may also have had a movement type mod as well that allowed him to move however far he wanted to in a single turn. I have seen those and I wouldn't doubt some would be used for these rating 1 man doomstack battles. The only typical exception being the vilich fight as that just seemed legit time wise and not even needing a lot of traits to be doomstack level.
I adore N'kari. Literally the only problem I have with him is the fact that he'll do his charge animation too damn early and won't hit who he's charging at. It's really frustrating to see it. It happened at 24:30 in this very video.
Yeah I love the faction but my god is it annoying watching him go in and get no kills or even hits on a charge. They really should alter the animation so it moves him forward more so he actually hits what he's targeting.
I don't get many one man doomstack submissions. I pretty much cover most of them because even if they are cheated you guys for the most part do seem to enjoy them. Also I don't often realize they're cheated until the very end because i have to do the battle first to have a look.

So stupid to use trait manager to submit a OMDS... like, of course, almost every legendary lord with every single trait will become a walking raid boss. Sure, it's fun, but why submit it? Always happy to see some LOTW content though.
I feel like you could've shaved 10 minutes off the video by staying in some of those engagements longer. So often were you one or two hits away from finishing a unit and then you broke off to try and avoid damage.
what a shame. I really liked the video and N'kari is one of my favorite lords but this is just cheating. Yeah, for research purposes, but I hope we can somehow find out before the video if the sender cheated or not.
I really dislike the knockdown mechanic. I dislike it and similar mechanics in practically every game I've played. It's not fun having random invulnerability periods that make no thematic sense. If someone is laying on the floor they should be easier to kill, not literally impossible!
I'm not sure if using trait manager should even be allowed in videos. I mean, like half the point of one man doomstacks is to work your ass off to get those traits, cheating them in just doesn't feel fair imo
I'd just auto resolve and check the save file for cheating prior to beginning the video when it comes to rating 1 man doomstacks....kinda a slap in the face to people who put the effort in for a cheater to take a video spot.
Great micro, but please be harsher to cheats. He lied 3 times and he knew it was wrong. Created fake story how he got it, he put N'kari in sylvania as part of lie and trait cheat. There were previous doomstacks rated by Legend and they were not perfect and missed several traits, people put their time and effort to put even inperfect doomstack just so Legend could rate it. And there are these clowns with trait manager getting every good character trait that is avaible under sun and think its fair to rate it. How much effort was put it? none!! Time and effort none, was simple xp grind and submit. with trait manager you can get traits that are on other part of map and avaible under very special conditions be avaible to you since turn 1? who doesnt want to play every Legendary lord having regen and other stuff since turn 1. If its ok with trait manager, maybe mods should be accepted too? By cheating you diminish previous submittions.

N’Kari is actually well poised to get the sword of khaine geographically. Global public order reduction helps their economy (of course the upkeep increase probably more than eats that up)
Yeah that kind of playstyle is terribly boring. Hit and run for two hours..... basically its just an abuse of the horribly designed battle AI of the enemy. If the enemy didnt run around aimlessly Nkari would get absolutely smashed. Now its just... oh look i run around and the AI spazzes out and since i run faster i can hit and run for literally eternity until i win.
I feel like it's calle "rate MY one-man doomstack" and not "rate how i added all those defeat traits with mod" for a reason. I don't like this trait menager doomstacks personally. The only trait that I would consider accepting would be Gotreks trait since it's very luck dependant because from what I know AI may never recruit Gotrek and that won't even give you a chance to get his trait (but that's just me). Also I think that doomstacks are so impressive because people spend time getting all those traits and carefully planned their playthrough. Adding traits with mod is a bit of an "insult" to all those people that actually perfected their doomstacks and spent all this time doing so.
Units should take some damage when they get launched from a charge. If not from the attack itself then at least from getting launched 15 feet in the air
Agreed, hard to believe it still doesn't work that way. Being thrown 50 feet to land on your head in a full-body charge by a giant monster doesn't even leave a scratch?
@@adammclaughlin845 if they fall a decent distance from their starting y it does start to deal damage very quickly. Get something with high knockback on a wall and watch the little infantry fly to their deaths. But yes, getting throw 50 feet away should probably do the same regardless of height.

You can also look at the campaign history to see if the key events are consistent with a few of the super critical traits
The submitter got 700 kills and a Pyrrhic Victory. Legend got 357 and a Heroic Victory. Skillz the man has are sublime.

Getting knocked down should incur a melee defense penalty or extra damage modifier while down, not this ridiculous invulnerability.

FYI, the melee hit formula is Chance to hit (h) = 35% + (melee attack - melee defence) where 8% < h < 90%. So 35% base, 8% minimum, 90% max.
Since you put the effort in already to write it out as a formula; it should really be "8%

I killed Isabella as Belakor and got the regeneration trait from the standard non-endgame vamps.
I use the trait manager but only to remove traits, some stuff are useless like defeating Belegar, I dont want trash to take up 1 out of 40 traits.

If you expand rapidly, target vlad (so you lord can teleport) it's certainly possible with ship routes. The trickest one nowadays is Nakai,

Yeah I love the faction but my god is it annoying watching him go in and get no kills or even hits on a charge. They really should alter the animation so it moves him forward more so he actually hits what he's targeting.

You must surely get so many submissions, maybe leave out the ones where people have cheated to add things in. Otherwise where does this lead?
I don't get many one man doomstack submissions. I pretty much cover most of them because even if they are cheated you guys for the most part do seem to enjoy them. Also I don't often realize they're cheated until the very end because i have to do the battle first to have a look.
@@LegendofTotalWar also if you stopped accepting them people would just start hiding their use of the mod. They’d get all of the necessary traits, but also put in some junk ones in the middle to make it look believable.
Thanks for replying. Yeah I was being miles too harsh as usual. Even if someone technically cheated to create a doomstack it's still interesting as a "what if" exercise about what you can do at maximum power.

So stupid to use trait manager to submit a OMDS... like, of course, almost every legendary lord with every single trait will become a walking raid boss. Sure, it's fun, but why submit it? Always happy to see some LOTW content though.
I feel like you could've shaved 10 minutes off the video by staying in some of those engagements longer. So often were you one or two hits away from finishing a unit and then you broke off to try and avoid damage.
what a shame. I really liked the video and N'kari is one of my favorite lords but this is just cheating. Yeah, for research purposes, but I hope we can somehow find out before the video if the sender cheated or not.

I really dislike the knockdown mechanic. I dislike it and similar mechanics in practically every game I've played. It's not fun having random invulnerability periods that make no thematic sense. If someone is laying on the floor they should be easier to kill, not literally impossible!
I'm not sure if using trait manager should even be allowed in videos. I mean, like half the point of one man doomstacks is to work your ass off to get those traits, cheating them in just doesn't feel fair imo

I'd just auto resolve and check the save file for cheating prior to beginning the video when it comes to rating 1 man doomstacks....kinda a slap in the face to people who put the effort in for a cheater to take a video spot.
Personally I'd take SoK over just using a trait manager any day.

Created fake story how he got it, he put N'kari in sylvania as part of lie and trait cheat.
There were previous doomstacks rated by Legend and they were not perfect and missed several traits, people put their time and effort to put even inperfect doomstack just so Legend could rate it. And there are these clowns with trait manager getting every good character trait that is avaible under sun and think its fair to rate it. How much effort was put it? none!!
Time and effort none, was simple xp grind and submit. with trait manager you can get traits that are on other part of map and avaible under very special conditions be avaible to you since turn 1? who doesnt want to play every Legendary lord having regen and other stuff since turn 1.
If its ok with trait manager, maybe mods should be accepted too? By cheating you diminish previous submittions.

Привет рандомный русский коммент. Против стрелков он уворачивается от всех выстрелов, а потом у них аммуниция кончается. По целям он попадает нормально, просто он пехоту с разбегу сбивает с ног а не убивает, что делает подобные тактики очень медленными. Но на самом деле, конечно, видяшка могла быть в два раза короче, у легенды перфекционизм просто, он хотел закончить с фул хп.

N’Kari is actually well poised to get the sword of khaine geographically. Global public order reduction helps their economy (of course the upkeep increase probably more than eats that up)
Yeah that kind of playstyle is terribly boring. Hit and run for two hours..... basically its just an abuse of the horribly designed battle AI of the enemy. If the enemy didnt run around aimlessly Nkari would get absolutely smashed. Now its just... oh look i run around and the AI spazzes out and since i run faster i can hit and run for literally eternity until i win.
Slaanesh seems like a bad faction for 1 man anything. It doesn’t make use of devastating flanker.
I don't mind if people use the trait manager, it saves them alot of time and it shows how good a character can be.
you can also hunt down those specific lords and remove traits that don't give much.
I feel like it's calle "rate MY one-man doomstack" and not "rate how i added all those defeat traits with mod" for a reason. I don't like this trait menager doomstacks personally. The only trait that I would consider accepting would be Gotreks trait since it's very luck dependant because from what I know AI may never recruit Gotrek and that won't even give you a chance to get his trait (but that's just me). Also I think that doomstacks are so impressive because people spend time getting all those traits and carefully planned their playthrough. Adding traits with mod is a bit of an "insult" to all those people that actually perfected their doomstacks and spent all this time doing so.

Units should take some damage when they get launched from a charge. If not from the attack itself then at least from getting launched 15 feet in the air
Agreed, hard to believe it still doesn't work that way. Being thrown 50 feet to land on your head in a full-body charge by a giant monster doesn't even leave a scratch?
@@adammclaughlin845 if they fall a decent distance from their starting y it does start to deal damage very quickly. Get something with high knockback on a wall and watch the little infantry fly to their deaths. But yes, getting throw 50 feet away should probably do the same regardless of height.
