I'm not lying when I say the Mickey Finn is THE fly that everyone should have in their box. The fly that catches all the fishes!
This OG hairwing has proven itself for more than a century and continues to fool fish just like it use to. Even a streamer junkie like myself tries to keep one tucked in the far corner of his box for those desperate days.
This is a true classic and I figured it was only right that I include a hairwing in the bucktail series, to show how versatile this often overlooked material is.
This will most likely be the only traditional hairwing in the series and instead of tying it in its true form I gave it more of a salmon look with jungle cock eyes and a floss rear end. Tied on a Carrie Steven's hook to add to the nostalgia.

Tag - 1 strand chartreuse floss and 4 strand red floss
Body - Hareline holographic silver diamond braid0
Underwing - red over yellow Hareline bucktail
Flash - 2-3 strands krystal flash
Wing - Harelineyellow bucktail
Eyes - Prosportfisher medium synthetic jungle cock eyes
Head - Solarez thin hard formula
