Again, great tutorial! Are you a teacher? You was born to be one. A great one.

I never knew about the hollow parts of a buck tail. Glad you mentioned it. Very nice video.

A very informative video for a beginner. You mentioned a couple of points that I have never heard on any other Beginner video. And those 2 points, are and were ones that continually messed me up when tying. "First is Last". Thanks.

Thanks for that. The first fly that I will be tying is a Pink Eve for salmon fishing here on the west coast and it is very similar to the Mickey Finn. Great place to start.

This is a beautifully shot video. The quality is outstanding! I am sharing to others I know that are beginners and instructors as a prime example of a good instructional video!

+Sheila B Thanks, I appreciate that. Now that winter is here and the fishing is on hold until spring, I'll be turning out more of these between now and April.

I would love if you will make a video where you show when the holow hair starts in the bucktail

There's no hard and fast spot on the tail where we can mark the transition based on some arbitrary measure. We have to find it by trial and error. If we pull our thread down hard and the hair splays badly, it's hollow. When you get a new tail, take a few trial clumps from top to bottom and see at what point the hair resists splaying. Once found, mark it.
