- Both are after Ada for two totally different reasons! This was the rehearsal (video storyboard) footage for the iconic scene in Resident Evil 6. For all the RE6 cut scenes the motion capture actors performed and rehearsed the scenes like a movie, giving Capcom "place holders" to use during the development of the game. Also giving the performers a chance to rehearse and feel what it is like with the gear and costumes the game designers had in mind for the game adding an extra layer of realism to their final performance in the Motion Capture Volume.
Reuben performed all the motion capture movements for Chris for the Resident Evil 5, 6, and Code Veronica cutscenes

This was a surreal moment to see Chris and Leon visibly interact for the first time.
Sadly it only lasted 3 min. We needed more of Leon & Chris working together. Oh we got that in Vendetta, but it shit imo.

This is sad because this live action is way better than all of the Paul Anderson RE Movies.
The Paul W.S. Anderson movies actually had class and some complexity. As entertaining as they were, they weren't without it's issues. And those issues: lack of the original characters, lack of screen time for the original characters that were present, lack of subtle, entertaining jump scares, missing many POWS, made the world a waste land too fast, and no boss-type POWs.
However, at least the Anderson films gave us originality -- as they weren't copying what already existed (which would've been extremely boring) -- new original characters, some interesting character conflicts, great action and fight scenes, zombie slaughtering, beautiful imagery, crisp, clear cinematography (admit it, these movies were gorgeously shot), and Alice herself (who would've fit quite nicely in the OG Resident Evil universe).
The Anderson films had there strengths and weaknesses.

The actors playing Leon and Chris in this 3 min scene suit the characters so much more than the actors in the shitty movies.
Leon is played by Dante's VA Reuben Langdon so you Know its going to be SSS tier with a Slice of pizza.

I know people give RE6 a lot of crap, but to me, the storyline was amazing! It was the only game I know of which brought so many characters together to constantly cross paths! I know it’s more action than horror, but I love action, and we got to see some rare interactions between star characters, like Leon and Chris. I would love to see another Resident Evil game that brings all the characters together like six did. And can we get Leon and Ada working together throughout a full game please?!

It's really not, I mean not hating it's ok and cool that they actually reenacted this for the mocap but this is as cheesy as the RE1 live action cutscenes and its over acted like a power rangers episode( again not hating I like PR just saying), the Paul Anderson movies are not amazing but the acting is a bit better this is just more acurrate to the games that's all.

@@320speed Reuben is a legend , spoke to him on Instagram once and he was very friendly and articulate. Dante from DMC is my all time favourite fictional character after batman, so I'm a huge fan of reuben. Roger is a fantastic voice actor too, he was very underrated as batman in arkham origins which Is a game I loved.

Honestly, I love when I stumble across these videos. Weather its Devil May Cry or Resident Evil and such. I love seeing the production of it. It would have been cool if they got the voice actors too. But the stunt guys are great. Especially Jason Faunt of Power Rangers fame.

I know I saw the cameraman shooting at them but my brain actually blocked about them since I was focused on the actors , I just realized that they are there for a split second until the inside car scene occurs, that's how good this was.

Why didn’t people like 6 again? Is it because it’s ‘too action’? Chris and Leon have been at it for years so obviously they won’t be rookies with minimal combat experience now. It’s like Metal Gear, Snake in MG1 isn’t going to be the same as Old Snake in MGS4 for example. The characters grow.
RE2 and 3 remake had a decent blend of action and horror IMO.
the problem was that the characters didn't act like their old selves, or as a version that took inspiration from them, or even acknowledged their skill in several early situations, such as the president zombie with leon scene. he's seen it happen before. he knows there is no reasoning with someone once they get to that stage. he he should have shot him much faster in that moment. considering his capability combat wise, it creates a bit of a disconnect.
chris having a loss of memory accounts for his actions. but it doesn't give a good feeling to his story arc. not to mention with him, nothing happens story wise other than him accepting who he was. which doesn't create forward progress, it's like watching a recap episode in a children's show.
ada is a flat arc. we learn nothing about her other than she had a thing for the main villain before dumping him. not a bad thing, she's meant to be a mystery increasing character to the story.
wesker's son and Claire was the best story in my personal opinion. but since that was his only game, and hers too kind of, as a main cast, not a side, they don't go far enough. they needed a bit more chemistry happening, or a reconciling of their parents thing. this didn't happen. so the story felt, empty.
@murat balamsa I agree with you except the 6th statement, but it is just my preference. I don't think the story is great and it feels like a Michel Bay's hot mess, but you know what I like about it? It is that they are all connected together, instead of the garbage in the RE2 Remake. In RE6, we have 4 campaigns, and they give different perspectives. Comparing to RE2R, it has 4 campaigns but they all have no to little connection. Crapcom clearly butchered a lot of things in RE2R's story but some "fans" defend it anyway. And then, we have the shitty RE3R, which is nothing but a cash grab, thanks to those "fans". The only thing those remakes do better than the original is the graphic.
P/S: I really like RE7, please don't hate it.
@murat balamsa RE2R is the reason why RE3R becomes messy trash. I don't care how many times they excused "re-imagine this, re-imagine that", both are not good anyway.
RE7 story is still in the main lore. The problem is it didn't start with the "iconic characters" at first. RE7 is like another story that happens somewhere else in a biohazard crisis world. Every other character like Leon, Chris, etc, are not the only people live and suffer in that world.
The reason why RE6 has many complaints is that it strayed too far from the core. It is not a horror game but a full shooting zombie game. You should remember that the core of RE series is horror survival, not survival action-oriented. Sure the first 3 mainline games still had some actions but they were never the main focus, except with RE3 a bit. But with RE6, they went all out of it.
@murat balamsa I... don't think RE7 is disconnected from the canon lore. It's still a biohazard crisis game takes placed in the RE universe but on a smaller scale. Besides, it introduces and marks a new generation of viruses and bows. Just like how RE4 introduces the Las Plagas parasite. I also believe there will be more variable BOWs in RE8.
I do agree that the action is more oriented over the year, but that's why some "fans"'s boners will go on a rampage if they don't see the "iconic characters". Let's think about it a bit. In RE1, either Jill or Chris is totally caught off guard when they have to deal with something way too different and dangerous compared to human criminals. When you deal with something new and strange, you clearly lack experience, the same as Leon and Claire. However, things started changing from RE3, not from RE4. Jill has more experience to deal with BOWs, and Leon is not a rookie anymore, so it's clear that they have what necessary to survive and deal with them. And to the timeline of RE6, they are no longer rookies, hence why the game is so action-oriented. Let's face it, who wanna hire an employee that has no improvement over the years?
That being said, I'm already expecting that RE8 will be at the level of RE4 or 5 on the scale of action. But after what Crapcom did with RE2R and 3R, the game will likely be a rush and incomplete product, so I won't hold high expectations from it.

Reuben was an extra in Time Force (gets carjacked by the pink ranger in the first episode among others) and he's listed as doing stunt work in the show but I couldn't find anything specific on it. Reuben is just listed as stunts while Hiroshi Maeda is listed as the uncredited red ranger stunt double and Hiroo Minami is listed as the uncredited stunt double for Jason Faunt.
All we need is reuben as a power ranger
