Just love watching your channel. Sooo many great projects. I even love the patriotic projects even though I don't live in the U.S.A....ha ha ha. I feel your pain when the charts span over multiple pages! Looking forward to your next video....happy stitching!
Such fun to spend time with you Vicky. You've got so many beautiful projects on the go and planned. I appreciated seeing all your spring patterns as it snowed here yesterday and is supposed to continue through today. Yes, spring is in the air lol. I love those whimsical little bunnies driving their vegetables, so cute. Your Mira Ella is so pretty, gorgeous colours. All your samplers, and everything else you're stitching is just lovely. It was nice to visit with you. Take care, and happy stitching.
Hi Vicky! Love your channel! All of your stitching is so amazing! I enjoyed watching all of your spring projects and I don’t think your videos are ever too long and I aways look forward to them! A stitching get together near Fredericksburg sounds amazing to me if you ever consider it. Your lighting in your craft room looks great!
Another wonderful video! I loved seeing all of your spring projects! I have stitched less spring than any other season so I may have to pick up a few and do some new starts in March and April. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful stitches!
Hi Vicky! Love your videos and your stitching! A Tisket, A Tasket is still on my wishlist. Hey Sweetheart is so pretty! Love you back! Have a great day!
It's amazing how many charts you have that I have also!! I say we have great taste, LOL!! As always, loved every minute of your video, and can't wait for the next one. Have a wonderful couple of weeks!
Hi birthday twin! Love your video. We think alike as far as most projects go. I just bought and kitted A Shepard’s Song ! Can’t wait to start it. And today bought my first fabric to make my first project bag using Elizabeth’s tutorial.🤞
Yeah that was so fun! Lori S is an enabler I can not tell you how many patterns I have bought because of her stitching! Fall in the village is one in working in and it’s beautiful but those trees! Girl! Stoney creek charts aren’t a ton of fun but they stitch out beautifully! I may never get it done😮 have a great couple weeks and come on spring! Blessings❤
Your work is amazing! I appreciated your tutorials in your previous video too. I'm a quilter but have recently gotten back into crosstitch. Thanks so much. Margie\TN
Such a fun video! I LOVE seeing all of your WIPS, chosen fabrics & progress. My copy of His Eye is on the Sparrow is already separated, but I can definitely see where it would be much harder to do if all together in a booklet, so I hope you do find it easier once you divide the pages. I don’t have a lot of Valentines pieces, but 1 that I’m currently working on is Love is the Key by Teresa Kogut, & I think you would really like it. It’s a fun stitch & I think I’m going to keep it out all year once finished & framed! Thanks for sharing & happy Stitching ❤️🪡🧵
First time watcher/subscriber. Loved your projects and we share a very similar style so I can tell you’ll be enabling me lol. I need to go back now and binge watch from the beginning! Suzette
Marilyn L. Imblum completely changed x stitch for me...she made art to me. I am 67 and have stitched all the angels all the Celtics ladies and Queen Anne's Lace. I have moved on to Miras and Nora's. I honor her memory and am so grateful for the joy her designs have brought to me. I, too, am over winter stitching! Great video!
I sat and stitched 'Oh Joyous Day" while I watched your delightful video. There were a few other cross stitch pieces that you talked about that I too am working on or would love to work on. I like your focus this year of stitching what you enjoy. I also like that you have your WIPS in seasonal areas and you can just pull out that whole self of bags and see what strikes your fancy to stitch.
I’m always so excited to see a new video from you Vicki. You have helped me so much with organization. I used several of your ideas. Your projects are all looking beautiful and you have some fun ones coming up too. It’s your fault that I’m doing One Nation and I’m doing it on the same fabric as you - thanks for all the inspiration! Hugs
So much goodness. Funny how we are doing several of the same pieces and are in completely different places in them. Yep, makes me want to pull them all out. Have some priority pieces this year that I'm fitting into several challenges. Keeps me on my toes. Thanks for sharing!
Oooh, I would LOVE a local stitching get together. Maybe you could gauge interest in your FB group to see how many people would be interested and then that could help with knowing how large a space to find. I think there is a group in VA Beach that meet at a church, so that might be an idea. Just food for thought!
I’m very ready for spring! I feel winter should end when the holidays are over-but this year where I live we have only had snow one day -fortunately! Love your stitching!
Hi Vicki! I love your videos. Your stitching is so gorgeous. What is your secret? Do you do anything special? When I see your wips I am either adding to my wish list or shopping Everything is so beautiful. I wish I lived closer because a stitching day with you would be fantastic. I am from NY so that would not work for me. I love what you showed for spring, and it as inspired me to get out my spring stitching. With my big charts I photocopy the pages because I always need to mark off what I have completed as I go. Maybee you can photocopy your book instead of cutting the binding. Vicki, this was a great video. Until you next video, Happy Stitching!
Thank you so much 😊. I really don’t do anything special. I do make sure my thread doesn’t twist and I stitch in a frame. Copying my chart is a great idea. Happy stitching 🧵
VICKI, YOUR WORK IS LIKE A PAINTING 🖼️….. ITS SOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL ❤️🙏 I WATCH FAE ALSO , HER STITCHING 🧵 IS AWESOME TOO…. SO CLEAN, CRISP AND TIGHT ….. AMAZING
Enjoyed seeing your beautiful WIPs. Lots of inspiration for spring and great linen choices. Still usually hard for me to stray much from what is shown on the pattern but trying to do that a little more.
I loved watching your video and seeing all of your stitching. If I lived closer i would love to meet up with you to stitch at a panera but I live close to Martinsville, VA right at the VA/NC border.
Loving your videos, I like your stitching on houses in different directions. I make copies of my charts especially when their on different pages and I can pickup the page I need. I make enlargements of charts that are difficult for me to see. ❤
I just love every video you do. You are so inspiring. When I see all your projects I just want to get stitching. I always make working copies of my patterns. I even do a little cut and tape when I have sections that are on multiple pages.
Please on your next video…tell how many threads you are using on the different fabric counts. I’ve gotten my first Heaven and Earth design; they recommend 25 count stitching 2 threads over 1! That seems so tight…
I almost always stitch with 2 threads on 16 count Aida, also on 28 & 32 count Lugana. On 25 count I would recommend using just one strand for full crosses. You could do two strands doing tent stitch.
HI!! I am so excited, I will finish my One Nation today! You inspired me to SWIW!!! Now after One Nation is done, you have gotten me to get my sewing room and stitichin/office room cleaned up and organized!! Thank you for yet another inspirational video! I'm kitting up One Nation by Bygone Stitches. I bought "Dirty Aida" because I love the color for that piece, but don't know if I can stand stitching on super stiff, crunchy AIda as I've gotten used to Picture This Plus Aida--from one extreme to another...LOL. My question--Did you use the overdyed threads on that piece? I'd love to see your piece again--will search your last videos--they're worth watching again!

Loved seeing all your spring stitches...very motivating! I was wondering, do you hold your Q snap in hand or in a stand to stitch? I'm experimenting and looking for advice!
Both! I use a stand in my craft room and prefer to use the stand when I am using my large 11x17 qsnaps. For my 11x11 and smaller I can hold them in my hand.
@@thevirginiastitcher Vicki...thanks for the tip! I will give it a try. Right now I'm using my Morgan Hoop in hand and find that the stitches are more even and neater holding in hand than on a stand. But I always wondered if I was using my Q snaps in the best way!
Beautiful stitching ! You helped me stitch tonight im working on the Lincoln sampler and im struggling making myself stitch on it, i love the sampler but i think its the fabric i dont like ive stitched too far to turn back now.
Hi, I have a question to ask. You showed the pattern photo of Rejoice Evermore and then you held up your piece that you have stitched....they do not match. If you would look and see if I'm off my bonnet. Thank you!
They match. I started in the upper right corner and have stitched that part of the design so far. I have not stitched the house and birds yet. I don’t know if that is what is confusing you. Happy stitching 🧵
I have many Lavender and Lace patterns from the 90s too. I stitched a few of them, like the seasonal Angels, but Angel of Grace and Angel of Hope are 2 I am definitely going to complete before I leave this world, lol! I prefer Marilyn's patterns to her daughter Nora's, the faces are softer & prettier and the body proportions are much better. So that's my unpopular opinion. I just don't care for the way most Mirabilia ladies all have the same snooty look on their faces. Again, it's just me and I know what opinions are like, and we all have them, lol! Stitch what you like, everyone! I also have Butternut Road Feathers and Friends, and I got a lovely piece of spring green linen from Weeks Dye Works, will be starting that one this year, it's on my docket of I will stitch this before I die, too.
Just love watching your channel. Sooo many great projects. I even love the patriotic projects even though I don't live in the U.S.A....ha ha ha. I feel your pain when the charts span over multiple pages! Looking forward to your next video....happy stitching!
So many beautiful projects, love the variety!
Love you back Vicky ❤️. Awesome episode! Beautiful projects. Love the "Goldilocks" category 👍.

Yes, Stoney Creek patterns can be a beast with all their back stitching but they are beautiful
I enjoyed the video. You motivate me to stitch more. If anything, my pattern stash is growing.
Your work is amazing! I appreciated your tutorials in your previous video too. I'm a quilter but have recently gotten back into crosstitch. Thanks so much. Margie\TN

Loved watching your flosstube.
Thank you! 😊
Fabulous work, and I like your choice of colors too. Thank you
Thank you so much!
What an enjoyable video!!!
As usual...........I have several new charts to order after watching your video - thanks for all the good info
I’m glad you like them. Happy stitching 🧵
I copy my pages and then can put them side by side as needed.
Beautiful beautiful charts! Of course your stitching is beautifully done.
Thank you so much!
Saves cutting the book apart!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work, you encourage me as a new stitcher. I like to stitch charts that I like and feel that I can do.
Cross stitch is a wonderful art. I am so glad I can encourage you. Happy stitching 🧵

Such serendipity... I am currently working on "Children'S Garden by Marilyn Leavitt- Imblum. I have had the pattern for years and finally started it.
For a place to meet you might want to use a local library. A lot of them have a room you can meet in. Just a thought
Happy Stitching 💖!!!
You too!!

Thank you. Me too 😊
Wow, love love love you and your work. How beautiful is your work. Love you girl 🥰🥰
Thank you so much!😊
I photo copy my pages so I ca tape them together
A stitching day would be fantastic, I live in Chesapeake, VA and I am totally interested in this idea. Please keep us posted!
I just love every video you do. You are so inspiring. When I see all your projects I just want to get stitching. I always make working copies of my patterns. I even do a little cut and tape when I have sections that are on multiple pages.
All of your projects are so beautiful! I downloaded the spring freebie of the carrots. Thanks for showing it!
Glad you like them!
Come with a sleeping bag and your stitching, a slumber party.
I'll be in Las Vegas in August
I host a monthly stitch in at Panera. If you plan it, stitchers will come.
Hi Vicki! What a nice surprise! The lighting is so much better, thanks to your hubby. Good job! ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
As always your videos are awesome, loved seeing your wips and future spring projects. Take care, Guida.

So I will get that done and then start stitching on Magwayen and a couple Crocette a Gogo' and Hoity Toity!!! Have a great week and thanks again for another great video.
Wonderful! Happy stitching and organizing.
Love all your projects! Love your idea of stitching together!
I am the member of two separate stitch groups that meet up at the county extension office. I'm not sure about Virginia's county extension offices and what they do, but in Kentucky sewing and crafting are missions and it was relatively simple to start up a group there. If that's not an option, perhaps you could look into a library? Many have rooms you can reserve.
I enjoy watching your videos, but that many WIP’s would drive me crazy. I have 4 right now, and I still feel like I’m neglecting them when I stitch on one or 2. I live in Norfolk, and I thought mine was allergy too, but it turned out to be Covid.
Oh no! I hope you are feeling better
Thank you for another great video. I absolutely loved everything you’re stitching. It makes me wanna go out and buy it but I better finish what I have first. Have a great week. Thanks for everything.
I like that sweet pea green in that fabric with the sheep. It really pops. I stitched that Santa 2018. It is the only prairie Santa that I stitched. I left the wording off that one too. Have a great week
Thank you so much Christine. I am so sorry for the delay in answering you back. I am using DMC Ecru. Also, for the blue I am using a Victorian Motto thread called Delphinium for the red I am using a Silks for you red that has some variegation. Happy stitching 🧵
You should take your book to a staples store and get it spiral bound - keeps the book together but easier to keep open.
Of course I hung in there. I love your long floss tubes. Your stitching is just so beautiful and I admire it greatly. I like your new background also with your pretty stitching bags shown. They're so pretty and cheerful. And yes the lighting is very good. So many things to stitch and we want to stitch them all don't we? I'm a super slow stitcher so I cannot achieve as quickly as I would like but I just keep working away and loving it. Happy stitching to you too.
Thank you so much 😊. Yes, the joy is in the process. Happy stitching 🧵
Hi Vickie,
In one of your past videos you beaded the Quaker study pattern. What color beads did you use? I am working on that pattern and when I saw your suggestion on the beads, I thought that was brilliant.
Thank you so much. The beads I used were the Mill Hill #00330
🐴🐴🐴
You have some wonderful projects to work on.
Suggestion: rather than tear your large project books apart, why not make copies and tape the parts together. That's what I do and I can fold them however I need to to see the part I'm working on. I trim off the white side of a sheet and line it up over the dark repeat on the next sheet and then tape them. That way you keep the original in 1 whole piece.
Maybe you could photocopy the pattern book pages and tape together the sections you need? That way you wouldn't have to cut up the book if you'd rather not.
Wonderful inspiration ❤ I hope to start stitching spring soon!!
Love your videos! Can you recommend a wooden scroll frame for working on a Mirabilia?
Thank you. I have a few Arabeska scroll frond that I really like. You can purchase them on Amazon
Hi Vicki, It was longer than 1 hour 46 min...cause I had to put you on hold while I talked to family and friends via text and mobile. But I enjoy listening to you in the background and enabling me. Oh yeah, I had those times also when I had to look up Nora Corbett's Mom on 123 stitch and Etsy, and the Jade fabric was great too. Thanks for causing a little damage to my wallet. Sending good vibes and happy lights to your world. (And yes, I'm a little nuts, still in hibernation in my world here in Alaska). Didn't your butt numb up sitting on the floor? One of these days, please record yourself getting up from that position...LOL
Good vibes to you also. Lol, there may be some groaning involved while getting up off the floor 😂
Once again everything is simply beautiful and you are making such progress!! Yeah!!!❤
Thank you so much!!
As for me, I am so ready for Spring now, this weather is too warm, but welcomed. Anyway glad to see you again Vicki😘
Thank you! 🤗
Hi I’m watching but I’m in Massachusetts
Beautiful stitching ! You helped me stitch tonight im working on the Lincoln sampler and im struggling making myself stitch on it, i love the sampler but i think its the fabric i dont like ive stitched too far to turn back now.
You can do it!
Our daughter's family live in Fredericksburg and we go down to visit a couple of times a year. I haven't found an LNS in the area. Where do you go?
The closest needlework shop is In Stitches in Alexandria, VA
@@thevirginiastitcher Thanks. We may have to do a road trip the next time we are down to visit to Alexandria
What is the name of the soft stand you showed with your magnetic chart holder
It is an Ontel Pillow Pad Fold Away. I linked it in the description box. Happy stitching 🧵
Why not make a working copy instead of cutting the original book?
Great idea! I don’t know why I didn’t think about that. It’s a good thing I did my video first before I cut the book. Thank you 😊
I too, always make working copies. I even have a red inked ‘COPY’ stamp that I put one each page.
The new lighting is just GREAT! ❤❤❤

Where to far apart 😞
Aww, rats ☹️
