Drilling of a borehole in our Driveway - On the 18th of March 2021 Glenvista, Johannesburg, South Africa:
For the past 27 years we have seen the drastic collapse of state entities such as ESKOM and Rand Water, which have shown that they cannot provide South Africans with reliable electricity and water, which has had a major impact not only on households but also businesses itself.
So as a family we decided to aim and get our properties off the grid of ESKOM and Rand Water and so far as business that specializes in these two fields we have successfully managed to do it.

60m you're very lucky. I hear people talking about 100+ metres below ground, and that's what scares me about exploring this option.
Don't worry, we utilized a geotechnical engineer that showed us the topography of the area. We also had hard rock that we had to drill through.

Yes it really is and it's amazing to see what these machines can do. It really helps us a lot of getting off the grid and we will save a lot of money in the future

Can you share the details of the company and how much it cost to complete the whole project?
Will have to check the Company details... but I remember that we paid R300.00 per meter we drilled (South African Rand). We drilled 60 meters deep due to the topography and geography. The area has a lot of hard rock.
