Knocking a running shoe for creasing in the toe isn’t a valid argument. With the motion of running, most shoes will crease in the toe it’s not a big deal.
Personally I feel the same but I've talked to several people that experience blisters on the tops of their feet when the upper creases due to excess material or a higher instep. It's at least worth a mention even if it's not always a bad thing.
I use the invincible 1 and 2 for anything other than a hard run (tempo/speed work) and so far it has worked for me and I have grown to love the shoe even more. It may take a bit to get used to but it is a surprisingly versatile shoe that can do anything you want it too, even picking up the pace and longer runs up to 15 miles. It is also really durable which I have come to enjoy and my first pair are at 500 miles right now and I plan to use the worn out pair for easy days and my new 2s for more demanding runs. Overall a great shoe that can do many things while protecting your legs. Not to mention the zoomx foam has some great energy return and can even be used for some easy workouts if you wanted to.
Great shoes for easy days. I put 600 miles on my first pair and at 400 now for my second pair. I have a new pair of version 2 in the wings which I got on sale at 1/3 off.
Have to say the Nike Invincible line is my go to easy day shoe. Just put 500 miles in a v1 model but had to retire them as the outsole wore through. Now starting next marathon training block using the v2 as my “new” easy day shoe
QOD: currently using the Saucony Tempus. I’m just loving this shoe for its innovative approach to light stability. Very comfortable and smooth underfoot, but responds well when you want to turn up the pace also. Saucony had really been winning me over the last couple of years and I’ve become a fan for sure!
Glad to see the shoes review is back!! I used the invincible 1 for about 650 km…first 300 I used ‘em for up to steady run but after 300km they just lost all that nice bounciness under step hence I mainly used ‘em for easy for the remaining 350km….seems to me they have two lifes Seek beauty and work hard 😊
The version 3 that's coming out in 2023 is the next one I'll be buying. I bought V1 and the only thing I didn't like was the fact that the zoomx gets chewed up on the inside outsole where it's not protected by the rubber. however, in version 3 they completely protect it which is exactly what I was hoping for. Also, It just looks way more comfortable than V1 and V2.
Love the midsole, but the rubber outsole began separating from the left midsole by 165km. I had to re-glue it back together to continue using it. As a regular runner with lots of shoe history, that was a first!
Man, I love your videos I swear. The energy you bring, the love, and the enthusiasm are unlike any other reviewer. I have been a subscriber since the Nike pegasus 37 review, I even bought it back then. Keep up the great work brother.
QD: I was completely in love with the More V3 last year. Just got cleared to run a month ago after a near year long hiatus from an Achilles injury. I just keep reaching for the Invincible 2’s over my new More v3 I bought just before the injury. They are just sooo soft and bouncy and they feel so much better coming back from this injury. I will buy the More v4 after in a month or two, but for now the Invincibles just feel better.
Love the Invincible 2. I really don’t get the scoring system for this one. There are very few and minor changes from v1 to v2 and you gave v1 in 8 point and v2 just above 6.
My favourite easyday shoe is the Vomero 16 for road and the Salomon Ultra Glide for trail. But both are good for longruns or some faster runs too. They both have a plush and forgiving feeling.
Liked version 1 of the invincible (3 pairs with great runs). After 50 km in version 2 start to have pain around my right ankle. Upper for me to thick and hard. Just ordered asics glideride 3 for my easy (long) runs. And glad to see you running again Seth!!
Andy I think they messed with the zoom X foam. Probably cheapened it up because my version 2’s are flatted at 200 miles and my other version 1’s lasted to 400 before switching them out
QD: My go to easy running day shoe right now is the Hoka Stinson ATR 5. I have 2 pairs actually. I love all the cushion and it’s versatility for road or trail. It is VARY heavy. But, I like that for easy days since it forces me to slow down and not push my paces. I’m not good at slowing down, so that shoe keeps me honest. Plus, my other shoes feel extra light in comparison.
QD: Saucony triumph 20. Extremely comfortable upper combined with a soft ( but not too soft ) bouncy midsole make this my perfect easy day / long run shoe. Ian 🇬🇧
Right now I don’t have much of a rotation but my easy day shoe is the noosa 14. They’re incredibly stable and smooth for me to log miles in as well as extremely lightweight
My easy day running shoe right now is Mizuno rider 25. Very soft and comfortable shoe. Once they are done I'll buy it again or rider 26. You can not go wrong with Mizuno!
QD: I differ from most and prefer a more minimal shoe for easy days. I can tap my feet off the ground and strengthen my feet and lower leg and keeping impact low. I tend to land harder in soft shoes so I save them for sessions and long runs.
My favourite easy day shoe is defiantly the first Invincible. On those weeks when I have high volume and lots of workouts it is amazing to have a shoe that can baby my legs a bit and protect them for the next day.
Agree, sorry to say that score makes no sense, up there with low super shoe scores. Valid points but it proved itself a great recovery shoe..we’ll that’s it’s job largely done
QD: I'm using a NB FuelCell Prism for my easy/recovery day. It's so pillowy-soft! Great for those days when you need that extra softness on your landing but still want to do some more Kms. I tried it for long runs, but I ended up with sore hips. Probably because of the softness of the midsole.
I couldn't agree less. This is my go to easy run shoe. Have absolutely no problems with the upper and the ride is just incredible. I'm on my second pair (first was V1) and the only downside is durability.
@@bo0bo07 what problems have you had with durability? My first pair are at 500 miles and still feel great. Rubber is worn out, but the foam is still feeling fine
@@ethanchavez3746 my first pair the rubber wore out at about 250 miles, foam was great but for a shoe of that price point i may have expected more. Don't get me wrong i loved the shoe. I was able to reach out to nike and they did refund the shoe completely to my surprise.
QD: I've got the More V4 (thanks to Seth) and Nike Invincible v1. I really enjoy them both a ton. I think with the More v4 the cushion is less responsive so I actually have an easier time committing to running slow and easy. The Invincible is fantastic and I actually prefer the upper to the more v4. It is definitely more bouncy so you may be tempted to go faster than intended when you put these shoes on. Both fantastic shoes for different reasons
The Invincible has been my go to Easy Run/Longer Slow Runs for 2 years approx... I call them my running slippers! But I've never been a fan of the upper. First pair, v1 Bright Yellow, I got up to 400miles and started to just use them for 3-5 mile easy shake outs. Currently at 550 miles and still going fairly strong but probably another 50-80km before I retire them. My current second pair, v1 Grey Marl, are at at 300miles. Still comfy still good to run but I have noticed the upper is coming away from the sole a little around the forefoot. My gripe with Nike right now though is laces.... how short are they? I'm a UK 11/11.5 and use a runners knot… but in most cases my big sausage fingers struggle to tie a knot. Do Nike just supply the same laces for every size of shoe? So yeah c'mon Nike... fix these uppers, make them show a tad lighter and give us appropriate length of laces please. :D
As much as I want to love the V1, the upper gives me blisters every time I run more than 4-5 miles. Yes, it’s an excellent easy day shoe, but right behind my big toe on the medial side, I get blisters every time I run in them. Doesn’t matter the sock. I’ve changed the lacing around. Still blisters. I love the way the ZoomX feels, but it destroys my feet. I find myself running those long, easy runs with equal comfort in the Adidas SolarGlide 5 with no blisters.
Love the comfort of the nike, but I only use them for walking at work. I'm a delivery driver and spend 6 to 10 hours a day on my feet, mostly on concrete. My issue with them are the grip. In dry conditions, they're great, in wet conditions, they feel like walking on ice.
Idea… Just had a look at NB More v4 and noticed they have it as 'Meets New Balance’s green leaf standard'. Possibly when reviewing a shoe, yiu could give it a 'green' score ie how much recycled materials are used to make it.
I have the Hoka Bondi 8 and the Brooks Ghost 15. XC season just ended, so every run is slow easy miles for the next few months. I wear the Bondi's for longer and Ghost's for shorter, but I switch it up sometimes. Thanks for the review, Seth!
QD - my easy day and majority of miles shoe has been the Novablast 2. I am thinking of getting either the Novablast 3 or the adidas prime x strung now. I also need a winter shoe. Thanks for your channel Seth, it is much appreciated!!
These are my go to, for almost everything shoes: easy days, long runs, tempo runs, interval sessions and rest days (not race days). My favourite shoes ever, 9 out of 10 from me. I would score them 10 if they didn’t wear out quite so quickly.
I put 300mi in the original Invincible Run. It is probably my favorite non-race shoe. When I came back from recent injury, I bought the New Balance More v4, because it was $50 cheaper than Invincible Run 2, and I'm regretting it. Tongue on the NB is awful, and the foam is not nearly as springy as the ZoomX on Invincible.
The invincible is my go too easy day trainer. I love the invincible run Iv had two v1s and Iv got 3 v2s one in use and 2 in boxes because I love the shoe so much Id give it. 9.5 out of 10
I had tibia plateau fracture and this shoe has been incredible for me during recovery, any other shoes killed my foot (my other shoes were not so good anyway ). I pick up ultraboost cold rdy in winter times because of slight waterproofing and grip.
My easy day shoe is Saucony Tempus right now to fix my mild overpronation. But I'm really looking forward to Invincible 2 because of ZoomX. In my opinion the stability equipment on this shoe is not necessary for ELITE runner like Seth but it will be helpful for normal runners like me to control this bouncy midsole. However the grey color never has discount😓 I bet Seth will enjoy Asics Superblast.
That’s so interesting. I have the zoomx invincible one 800km and it’s been the best training shoe and I’ve had no injuries. I believe it’s protected my legs. Maybe for my new training shoes I need to buy another set of ones instead of the new twos? What do you think? Maybe I should try the More V4.
Question: I have three different Altra trail shoes. I really love the wide toe box. The Olympus 4 is my favorite, heavy but good grip which gives me confidence running gnarly rock and root trails. Is it possible to extend the life of a shoe with new insoles. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
no durometer score? unless i'm mistaken, you've never given us a durometer score for any zoomx shoe you've reviewed. it would be useful know where zoomx sits when comparing other midsoles.
I do all my easy runs in an old pair of Nike Vaporfly Next%s. I have over 500 miles in them and they are still going strong. They easily beat all the 'true' but clunky easy days shoes that I also own.
Exciting! I like to stay active on the channel for more than just the running shoes and I've loved the content recently even if it's been different, but it's admittedly refreshing to see this aspect of the channel return. Congrats on getting healthier, keep up the good work and enjoy the process!
Sad to hear about the upper not improving, my only issue with the first was the tight toe box, so at least that’s better. Have just ordered a pair though for only £78! Compared to £160 RRP
I picked up the invincible 1, when it went on sale at RW, it’s fine, as I am a bigger runner (2 bills, and change) so I welcome these shoes. I use these and 1080s for easy days.., matter of fact I am running in these tmrw.., about to pick up the more V3, top replace the 1080s the though.
@@michaeldominic2070 it will hit the collection at some point hopefully catch a sale on them. Ordering the Triumph 20 to replace the Invincible 2’s. And have to start grabbing some new winter gear
Pricing isn't valid now. It has been just between 95 to 110usd these days for the 1s or 2s. First time ive seen it that low, maybe something big is changing for this lineup.
It is a super comfortable and cushioned shoe. It's a pity that they came out with damage. It is not normal that I have to be using glue at no less than 300 km from used.
This is why you're one of the best reviewers, not afraid to judge something thoroughly. I personally love the shoe and its one of the few shoes I've ever loved from day one to its last day.
Unfortunately I will be moving on from the invincible. I had two pairs of the V1 and now my version 2 is already flattened at alittle over 200 miles. They feel like my V1’s did at over 300 miles. Also don’t like the new tongue and alittle too much room in the toe box from the first version. I’m moving on to the Saucony Triumph 20.
it's a pity that Zoomx is such a weak material, I have just returned 2 pairs of these shoes as the Zoomx is falling apart. Overall they are good, stable at a good pace and very very comfortable, I still managed some dark toenails and a few blisters, but I didn't want to risk breaking the whole Zoomx so I returned them.
$180 is not a good price for these, but they're a steal at $90 at Eastbay right now or even on the Nike app I think they're around $115 if you have a free member account.
QD: the More v3 and Novablast 3. I'm interested in trying the More v4 when I get my allowance in January. I wonder why you don't include the Glideride 3 as an easy day shoe as well; I remember you gave it a glowing review.
What a spot-on review!!! I have been wondering what shoes I should be resuming my running in after a month of this foot surgery. Actually, I have the previous version of Invincible. Guess it'd still make a joy ride after this forced hiatus. I am being patiently taking care of my mentality through these runless days for another month. 🧘♀️🧘♀️Thank you so much, Seth. 🙏
QD: Nike ZoomX Invincible Run FK 1. I don't run further then 10km in the shoe. Just use it for easy and recovery runs. Love the soft ride it works wonders for my tired feet.
Just picked these up for $115 on the Nike app. Just curious on what price would push these to an 8 on your scoring scale. Not sure about the rest of DGR but i honestly can’t remember the last pair of shoes running shoes that I paid full price for between price drops or coupons. Maybe a good QOD???

I do all my easy runs in an old pair of Nike Vaporfly Next%s. I have over 500 miles in them and they are still going strong. They easily beat all the 'true' but clunky easy days shoes that I also own.
I use infinity run Nike for slow runs because its more durable for the high mileage but yeah less cushion
Exciting! I like to stay active on the channel for more than just the running shoes and I've loved the content recently even if it's been different, but it's admittedly refreshing to see this aspect of the channel return. Congrats on getting healthier, keep up the good work and enjoy the process!
QOD: Right now I cannot resist the Novablast 3’s. I grab them most days of the week right now… is this love?
Sad to hear about the upper not improving, my only issue with the first was the tight toe box, so at least that’s better. Have just ordered a pair though for only £78! Compared to £160 RRP
I picked up the invincible 1, when it went on sale at RW, it’s fine, as I am a bigger runner (2 bills, and change) so I welcome these shoes. I use these and 1080s for easy days.., matter of fact I am running in these tmrw.., about to pick up the more V3, top replace the 1080s the though.
NB More v4! They are so comfortable and great for easy runs. The NB SC Trainer is another amazing shoe. Maybe my favorite shoe of the year.
Mike I almost bought the SC trainer for the upper alone. Possibly has the best upper of any shoe in my opinion
@@Scotty.Lincoln the upper is amazing! I'm really liking this shoe! You should pick up a pair if you can!
@@michaeldominic2070 it will hit the collection at some point hopefully catch a sale on them. Ordering the Triumph 20 to replace the Invincible 2’s. And have to start grabbing some new winter gear
@@Scotty.Lincoln cool! I was strongly looking at the Triumph 20's but I just have too many shoes LOL.
My size is US. 9.5 in Adidas Ultraboost 22 , what size does Nike ZoomX Invincible 2 should I get?
Qd: dont really like to run in 300gr type of shoe, so i would say nb 1080v12 is better for me for easy run.
Pricing isn't valid now. It has been just between 95 to 110usd these days for the 1s or 2s. First time ive seen it that low, maybe something big is changing for this lineup.
ZoomX Invincible because of the midsole and underfoot feel😊
It is a super comfortable and cushioned shoe. It's a pity that they came out with damage. It is not normal that I have to be using glue at no less than 300 km from used.
QD: this (Invincible 2) and the Triumph 19. Love them both.
QD: my easy day + long run shoe is the ASICS Glideride 3. I LOVE that shoe.
it's a pity that Zoomx is such a weak material, I have just returned 2 pairs of these shoes as the Zoomx is falling apart.
Nike Invincible is my easy day shoe🥰
QD: the More v3 and Novablast 3. I'm interested in trying the More v4 when I get my allowance in January. I wonder why you don't include the Glideride 3 as an easy day shoe as well; I remember you gave it a glowing review.
For me Glideride 3 is better than NB3 because i can use it for long run without getting tired on my feet at all. Its good for recovery run as well.
I like this shoe, the only thing I found weird and disturbing is the thongue is big and so fluffy + the hill is so large and popped up
Is the Addidas boost still not the best by far? Think it is.
Way too heavy
My Easy Day Shoe I'm using is the NB2's. Absolutely Awesome shoe for so much of everything.
Have you done any runs in the More V4? I heard your reference to it and wondered how it compared. Thanks!
Asics Gel Nimbus 23 is my easy day shoe.
Any suggestions for a everyday shoe. I'm a supinator.
This is my easy day shoe. I own over 10
Pairs.
My go to shoe helps keeps injury at bay
QD: Nike ZoomX Invincible Run FK 1. I don't run further then 10km in the shoe. Just use it for easy and recovery runs. Love the soft ride it works wonders for my tired feet.
Just picked these up for $115 on the Nike app. Just curious on what price would push these to an 8 on your scoring scale. Not sure about the rest of DGR but i honestly can’t remember the last pair of shoes running shoes that I paid full price for between price drops or coupons. Maybe a good QOD???
I'm a heavier runner at 200lbs, want to do some 5k easy runs, do you think this will be a good fit?
To be more specific, this one or Hoka Bondi suits me better?
Y’all use sole inserts with these?
