In the history of the Produce series, announcing the 11th place was the most nerve-wracking to watch than announcing the 1st place lol. In the case of JO1, having Sho announced as the 11th member was really unforgettable. In my opinion, he was chosen as the leader not because of his age but because of his character and demeanor. If you've watched the season, you can really see him as a kind, humble, chill, and passionate person. He doesn't have any issues with his position in every performance assigned to the group he belonged. In this video, you can really see the leader-like character in him because he's so articulate, dignified, and trustworthy. Wish you all the best! JO1 fighting!
What's actually amazing about this group and Produce 101 Japan (both seasons) is that the end result groups are PERMANENT. I've listened to some of JO1 and INI's songs and I'm amazed because they really sound like a K-pop group. BANZAI!!!
JO1 truly embodies the J-Kpop feel so many companies have been trying to achieve for years. Their management is a marriage of the two countries and so are their trainers and composers/writers. They are in a realm of their own right now. The members work so hard and the experience of watching them grow is amazing. I really hope to see them live one day.

@@davidpark2990 I've been a fan of J pop since 2003. Namie Amuro was the first artist I heard. Then I stumbled across K pop in 2009. People made fun of me for listening to music that was not in English. Luckily, I don't care about other people's opinions and I still enjoy the music. 🥰
I've been following the JO1 members since PRODUCE 101 Japan. Voted every week and even had some picks make it. If you haven't seen the show, many of these guys had ZERO performance experience and singing and dancing training prior. Their growth since then is phenomenal. I can't say it enough. It's like watching the underdog rise up. I'll always be a JAM. Thank you for your hard work Sho and JO1!

Sho really has soothing voice. It shows that he is very kind, soft spoken and humble person. He even teaches his members become more humble n kind to other people. At first, it's very hard for him to lead the members. Even though they have experience members, but they respect Sho as their leader. JO1 is really respect n consider each other. Because they're not artist before, so they're very understanding each other. They work hard every day so that they're become one of top artist not only in Japan but to the world.

To the Produce101 stans there, keep in mind that unlike the korean counterpart, most of the contestants had little to no background in the idol industry. These are the top 11, and even among them a lot of them had no experience in singing or dancing. It really makes you appreciate how hard these boys work to get where they are now. I actually like sho literally from his first audition in the show & he was the last one to debut at 11th (thank god) & now he's the leader! He actually never dance before the show but his dance improve so much after debuting (you can search his cover song with Tomi on yt - this is before he join produce 101) It's been like 3 years but we all still love him >
