    The best way to deal with HOA presidents is to put the boots to them, medium style.

    First story sounds like the typical HOA bs, never seen or heard of an HOA that wasn't a bully and a crook.

    • @francit4856
      @francit4856 Рік тому

      I know of one. Dues are $25 a month. Common areas are taken care of. Dumpsters are supplied for resident for winter and fall cleanups. Snow removal in bad snows are provided. Area Christmas decorations are put up and taken down. A big summer BBQ and December Holiday party is hosted. In all the years they have only twice gone after a resident for violating the HOA rules and both cases were really appropriate. But, I know, these kind of stories are rare.

    • @misst1928
      @misst1928 Рік тому

      @francit4856 You don't know about the neighbors to the HOA they have tried to bully out of their land, trust me they have tried it a l l HOAs try it. The residents of the ones on either side of my dad's property never knew their HOAs tried numerous times to steal all or part of his land and some came to the hearings in support of the HOA singing their praise about how honest and fair they were while the HOA president had forged paperwork making it look like my dad had sold or gifted his property to them. The property now belongs to one of my brothers and from time to time they get paperwork from both of them but it use to be an every year thing, my dad spent a small fortune on lawyers until the courts got tired of seeing them and the presidents of the HOAs started facing jail time. These types of stories are actually very common because all HOAs are crooks.

    End of 1960s a letter arrived at my parents house. A surveillance team would come soon to measure about 250m² from the lot that would be given to a new planned lot behind the lot of my parents. We quickly found out all the neighbors at the road got the same letter. It turned out the farmer who owned the acre behind our gardens made a plan together with the city council to make a new village there. all the neighbors complained that they did not agree to sell their land. We got told it was in the newspaper some thursdays ago with the official announcements in the back pages. We could have informed ourselves. Years later i got deja vu vibes when i watched that "hitchhiker to the galaxy" thing. End of the story was, we had to give away only 100m² and all of the neighbors had the option to buy the planned lot behind their gardens. Only one had that amount of money flying around to do so. The city did not do such a thing again...

    Gotta call B.S. on this one. Obviously the "truth 'did not' win out," since a) there were no farms in North America 500 hundred years ago, b) the Pilgrims didn't even arrive in North America until 1621, so a date of 1622 is highly implausible and c) there is not a single 500 acre North American land grant that has been in the same family for the last 500 years. Not a single one. Whoever did the research/fact check on this one clearly failed.

    You should be at least fired if the work shows your incompetence lead to someone's death. If I failed my IT/lab work and it lead to someone dying and my work could've prevented that, I'd completely understand being let go. Then again I'm not a complete sociopath.
