- Dee Dee Sorvino says she's really upset that her husband, "Goodfellas" actor Paul Sorvino, was left out of the "In Memoriam" montage at this year's Oscars. Paul died last year at the age of 83. He appeared in over 200 films during his distinguished six-decade career. However, Sorvino was not the only big name missing from the segment. In a statement, the Academy says “An executive committee representing every branch considers the list and makes selections for the telecast based on limited available time.”
My condolences to Paul Sorvinos family. He is missed and remembered.
Never heard of him
Wow transition from Paul Sorvino to make-up removal in less than 3 minutes, really emphasized how important he was.
I dnt knw whts more disrespectful
You noticed that too… sad
Also make-up removal normally takes less than 3 minutes, so it further emphasises how mundane and unimpressive it is.
The one that annoyed me being left out was Fred Ward. Freaking great actor
How could they have left out Rocco Dillon?!
ARGAN OIL
@Curious George Vs. Winnie the Pooh lol...like just whhhhyy??? In the same segment?!! ??!
Agreed. Tremors is one of my favorite movies. He was good in Road Trip too lol.
It can't be that difficult to create this list of people who passed away 🙄 every year they seem to mess it up
My husband and I enjoyed the work of Paul Sorvino for so many years, from his hilariously spot-on portrayal of a Southern Baptist evangelist in "Oh God!" to the loving yet menacing crime family boss in "Goodfellas." What a versatile, talented actor!
Big Paulie will never be forgotten 🙏🏼
RIP to all who died in 2022/23. May you all rest in peace.
It’s a valid excuse until you realize they played a scene with Ray Liotta from Goodfellas….could have used a scene with both of them in it. Js
Didn't the SAG awards memorial do that very thing?
They left out Cameron Boyce too. He represtented not only the young but those with hidden disabilities. His absence was felt.
He wasn’t the only one. There was seriously maybe six people the audience reacted to.
Those not recognized were folks who worked behind the scenes and passed. These award shows have done another hit and miss on keeping everyone entertained. Last year it was focused on one group this year it’s another. May have to skip next year altogether.
Snub the 2024 Oscars!!!!!
They do this every year. How hard is it to Google, which celebs passed away that year. It blows my mind how often this happens.
They also left out the mom from A Christmas Story.
That's so disgusting because she played in one of the biggest blockbuster movies of the 70s.
Close encounter of the 3rd kind!👽👽
@@Stephanie-vn6ir recently watched that movie. Still amazing. Like, honestly, it really seems so timeless. I was born way after the movie came out, but it holds up extremely well. Classic film imo.
@Marc-Anthony Nava
Yeah, it's always been one of my favorites!🤩
Paul deserved to be remembered. Love you Big Paulie!!! A great actor
That’s a slap in the face I ❤ Pauline 🙏💜😇
😂 I never heard of him
Ain't that a kick in the head?
He made such a significant impact among Italian Americans some of the folks listed I didn't even recognize. They need to look at it as who impacted the industry on a cultural term.
Thats why ppl should stop watching the Oscar's. Paulie is forever one of the best characters ever
The academy missed a lot ..and Tom Sizemore is one of my favorite actors from the relic to saving private Ryan …im gonna miss him
No slaps, no mixed-up envelopes, no Jimmy Kimmel in blackface.
I just don't understand the disrespect by the OSCARS in not doing their due diligence a comprehensive research of those who have past and give them their recognition on " OSCARS Biggest Night" as it has been billed. Shame on those that can't get it right, it's not the first time and I am absolutely sure , that it won't be the last. They must do better.
If you being sarcastic. Best troll I ever seen lol
The Oscar Rep stated there is an online list that will be posted for the entire year for ALL those who have passed 😒😒😒 so so soooooo trashy & disrespectful of the Academy. I remember growing up, and the memoriam was ALLOT longer & showed more people than what happened the other night!
yeah the flashed up the faces real quick
That's what you get when you have people complain about the show going over 4-5 hours; start going back to that length instead of them racing to clock in at 3. It just doesn't work that way.
He was in the greatest films ever made
Never heard of him
@@Xane_Dragon Lol
Watch the movie Goodfellas. A movie about the mafia. Lots of violence and one of the best movies ever
I was shocked they left out Anne Heche!
I wouldn't honor that druggie who put a bunch of people in danger
@@Litandharryginny exactly. It should only be for well respected members of the academy
@@LitandharryginnyI agree with this comment.
She wasn’t a good person
@@Former_Pastor They also left out Robert Blake, but at least he got some kind of acknowledgement.
They also forgot Kevin Conroy.
Him getting snubbed shocked me, but another one that did was Charlbi Dean. She was a star on the rise, but the movie she appeared in (Triangle Of Sadness) got recognition that same night, yet she wasn't featured in the In Memoriam
Wtf the left out Paula, Sizemore and Leslie?? That’s absolutely disrespectful.
The reason I’m in favor of Sizemore being left out is because he died in 2023. Meanwhile Mattinson, Welch, and Mirsch were included even though they passed in 2023.
They forgot a lot of people, total shambles this year
I honestly forgot Paul Sorvino died.
They might have include all of those actors in their online list, but they didn’t include Kevin Conroy on either.
Ridiculous! They pick and choose who they want to mention. Either you mention all the "qualifying" dead people or none of them. Very disrespectful. They should expect these types of repercussions.
I was wondering if they were going to show the woman who Alec Baldwin shot. Not surprised she wasn't featured.
Wow!..snubbed in death..harsh
The way the QR was presented at the end was similar to getting a restaurant menu
I didn't know he died, damn Big Paulie! That's terrible
No one should be forgotten especially when they making money off them while living and in death that the industry
That’s unbelievable
I didn’t even get to see the memoriam on tv
The Academy has been out of touch for years
They also forgot
Bo Hopkins as well
Inexcusable.
As well as she should, my man was legend m. RIP big man.
Shame on them! Paul, Ann, Tim and Leslie! 😥😠
And David
Stella Stevens as well
GOOD FELLAS LIVE FOREVER .MAD AND FURIOUS 😠 😡 👿
who, in their right mind would even want to be part of these narcissist takers & pretenders
That Argon Oil ad. I do love you Inside Edition 😂
They forgot a lot of people. Paul, Anne Heche, Tom Sizemore, Richard Belzer, Chaim Topol (just to name a few). It's sick and worst of all, they even do it to people close to them: in 2015, they didn't include Joan Rivers although she did the fashion thing every year and they forgot Farrah Fawcett in 2010 in spite of her being on the damn Academy committee! 🙄
They might put the ones who recently died in 2023 in the next one. Another inexcusable one was Charlbi Dean, a young lady who starred in one of the films that was up for Best Picture.
Let’s not forget David Warner
This absence, and others, is VERY UNFORTUNATE and disrespectful!
At least she's not suing 🤣
Allison Hall looks stunning without make-up
With that kind of lighting? She is wearing a layer of non light reflecting make-up.
Argan oil... "You're soaking in it!" 😱 🤣
they didn't say if Anne heche was on the. more complete list posted after, or maybe they just fixed it after the story surfaced.
Whoever set it up left alot of people who have passed out of it shame
Shouldn't it include only the calendar year that the awards show is representing (in this case 2022 only)?
Paul Sorvino is a national treasure. Same on the Oscars.
There was no virtue signaling to be had.
Thank GOD I don't have to hide my face in shame with makeup.
Why PS wasn' included is simply a huge mistake. 'intentional or what ?'
I would be so angry if I was her and that was my husband or dad or brother. Holly weird is getting worse. The “executives” messed up.
It was wrong. Pauley was iconic and was part of my teen years.
A man of that achievement definitely should be in the montages compared to unknown technical guys
Somebody is going to get wacked for this.
Lol
Love Data glad he made a spectacular come back
WATCHED IT UNTIL JAMIE GOT HER OSCAR
TV WENT OFF AFTER
GARABGE SHOW
Time constraint my tookiss! Adding 4 more names to a memoriam montage would total 20 additional seconds if at all. He was an A-list actor who should have received mention along with the rest. Instead, they chose to remember a publicity executive, a design engineer, a production designer, two costume designers, a set decorator, and an executive. LOL! Not that their passing is any less sad or tragic, but it shows clear lack of common sense on The Academy's part.
Limited time???? Big Paulie doesn't deserve afew seconds??? Shame on the academy
NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS RIGHT???
That's Mess Up, They Forgot Paul Sorvino?
How dare them
It seemed really short considering all the people in the entertainment industry that have passed away
Nothing to do with Lackawanna County funding his movie?
At least ARGAN OIL is highlighted here😂
David Warner was not on the Oscar In Memoriam list as well
I’m so sorry because he was great. I wouldn’t watch that clown show if they paid me. It’s run by YOU KNOW WHAT. RIP Paul us good guys know what a great actor you were. ❤️
👹🔺👁️
@@Markynava777 What’s that?
@@deee5520 no, I don't know who it's run by. Why don't you enlighten me?
@@somnuswaltz5586 A bunch of lefties in the so called woke generation. You know mostly degenerates . Sure isn’t what it was. And unless you fit into their peg they don’t bother.
I like him better than ANY of the people at that show
Paul deserved to be there!❤
I love Leslie Jordan but he wasn't a major film actor.
Wtf is the last segment, video of missing actors who have died and ends with argon oil??
Why does the MPA do this every year?
Allison Hall looks good without make up oh well
I’d don’t like having my friend’s husband left out
Ann has passed... woah didnt know about that
A big snub for sure but not the only Paul. This category, DEATH, the academy has to take the time & the trouble to get it right.
Rip Mr. Sorvino
No excuse Oscars. No excuse
As I posted to Mira, I stopped watching all the awards shows, but your husband was special, and he is appreciated by his many fans!
Him and Tony Sirico
He was icon
I didn't know Tom Sizemore died
It’s very hard to add a lot of people who died that past year. But I understand why she would be upset
0:59 to the end has NOTHING to do with the main topic.
Paul Sorvino deserved a mention.
They leave out over HALF of the celebs who passed. This isnt a big surprise
He’s a legend
ADL back at it again
You have to go online to see the rest of the actors that passed away last year? Pathetic
The executive committee needs to be fired who made that choice to leave him out.
some peeps were alive and placed in memoriam
*rolls eyes*
He's dead, somebody at the Academy forgot that, big deal. Get over yourself, woman.
He deserved better.
And Robert Blake who gave his whole childhood for Hollywood. He was acquitted because he was innocent in his wife’s murder . He should have been there same as Paul Sorvino. And Anne Heich, and Tom Sizemore. Shame on them.
Revive Steve Irwin to get her tears 🐊😢💧
