I'm sure I'm the 100th person to tell you that you have to break the seal of the balm (literally stick your finger in it) and you will get pigment. I actually love the Miracle Balms, but I put them over regular foundation (as bronzer, highlighter, and blush - I have three) and then I powder. The WT Foundation was a sticky, oily mess and I returned it. Even after powder, it looked good immediately after application, but later in the day it was awful. I do like the brand. The eye shadows are great too - the Just the Sec and the Best Eyeshadow Ever. Not super crazy about the pencil foundation/concealers, but I do use them occasionally. I have the Eye Liner in brown and I do love it.
I got the balm and was horrified when I first opened it. I tried it later in the day and ended up leaving it on overnight. My skin was perfect the next day. I expected breakouts, but that didn't happen.
Bobbie Brown was a renowned makeup artist first and foremost. She's an author, instructor, and innovator. Personally, I love Jones Road products but I like a more natural look and have dry skin. BB believes in Enhancing what you already have. I like the balm and you can build on it

It’s a shame that the WTF doesn’t feel good or has good performance throughout the day, because LOVE the look of your complexion.

I would say you have a fair review, however the miracle balm does give more color payoff and acts very differently if you break the seal first, as it instructs on the website. If you then like the consistency I recommend the Tawny shade.
I also agree with you about the stickiness! It's so greasy on my face for how light coverage this foundation is! It does make my skin looks very healthy though....but it doesn't last long though. So....not my foundation at all. I actually like Iris&Romeo's Best Skin Days foundation better, which Jones Road's WTF reminded me of...It's not greasy and also have some coverage for a foundation moisturizer. Also come in a similar packaging. I heard from other influencers that the powder eyeshadows are actually pretty good although they are quite pricey for a non-special (like PMG) single eyeshadow.
I actually think this look is beautiful! I like the WTF bc I am 51 and have pretty good skin- but definitely need more moisture than I used to. Most foundations age me so I steer away. I had the same experience with the miracle balms and I did the break the seal thing. I got nothing. Hated the eyeshadows I tried. I think I will try the pencils- I love a good brown liner! I literally do not love myself enough to do a look like this lol. I need coverage and I need contour, the "clean" makeup look isn't for me as much as I wish I want it for me. I still think you look stunning, even with the excess luminosity. Like a good work out lol.

This line is more suited for dryer skin but it does give you a nice glow. Beautiful skin. You also have to break the seal of the Miracle Glow to warm it up with your fingers. It gives a fresh no makeup look and can be worn as-is or either under or over blush or bronzer. I bought the oil as well to layer with the foundation, yes,my skin is that dry and I love the final look and longevity. I know this line is not for everyone but no makeup is. I don’t wear so called longwear foundations because they are most of the time too drying. It doesn’t make them bad products. I wished Jones Road marketing would be a little more clear about who this is better suited for.
I’ve been using the Miracle Glow (dusty rose as well) as a primer, not its intention, but it’s working for me. The tackiness makes my foundation stick, turning a negative into a positive, and the glow shines through. I also love the citrusy scent. I however have to skip any redness on my skin because as subtle as the tint is, it highlights it like crazy. I won’t rebuy but at least I’m using and enjoying.
my understanding was that these JR products (balm and foundation in particular) are designed for older women. 50+ I just purchased both, I am 56. fingers crossed I am trying it out later today
I love using the foundation with the Danessa Myricks blurring balm underneath as a primer. It gets rid of the tacky feeling that some people dislike and I powder using a good setting powder. I also like the miracle balms and I use powder blush, bronzer, and sometimes highlighter to set that since I know it has that tacky kind of texture too. My skin is hella dry and I live in a very dry climate so these two work wonderfully for me. I think oily skin people will hate the face products, but if you find other products to prep and set the face products it is SO pretty.
The miracle balm has a seal you must break, push your finger in harder to break seal, then you will get color.. Takes a bit to get used to l use dusty rose for a no makeup look..ELF❤️
I didn't know that Jones Road was Bobbi Brown. I'm not a makeup no makeup person. I feel like might as well go bare faced instead. But I loved a few of her products. She made my favorite pencil eye liner in Black Plum, so sad it's been discontinued.Glad I brought back ups!

My skin must be super absorbent… the Miracle Balm and the WTF never feel sticky for me… they always dry down. They make my skin look and feel BOMB and they have amazing longevity. Also I don’t have issues with the Just a Sec shadow, it doesn’t crease or wear off. I LOVE the Jones Road products, but maybe I just have the exact type of skin it was designed for. You look super gorgeous by the time you’ve done your full face in these products!
With respect… you are not the target audience. This product is for dry mature skin. You cannot understand how makeup works on older skin, our issues, needs. I love these products. I’m 52.

If she had actually researched how the products are supposed to be used, she would have known that you need to break the seal on miracle balm. There are literally dozens of videos about this.
10:40 I’m not a fan of the miracle balm because I have oily skin but you’re suppose to press into the product and break through it. It is pigmented, I have the bronze shade. I imagine it would do really well if you have really dry skin. Once it settles down into the skin after a few hours and it leaves a nice tint behind. She often comments on how dry her skin is and I think she really caters to that skin type. This brand is so intriguing. I know I’m not gonna get along with her foundation because of my skin type but my curiosity will get the best of me that it’ll end up in my cart 🤣.
Girl I've had a cart full of products on the Jones Road website forever and I finally pulled the trigger when I got my paycheck today lol. I believe it is returnable... So if it's that bad I'll send it back. But fingers crossed!

When I want a no makeup, makeup look I just mix moisturizer with my foundation and use my bronzer for eyeshadow and use a touch of my lipstick as a blush. I’m not spending all of that money when I already have so much makeup.
I got the foundation and the dusty rose miracle balm and I don't like it. You are exactly right, my hair sticks to my face. Super greasy heavy feeling like I have vaseline on my face and it doesn't go away throughout the day. Yucky! I so regret buying it.
Great review! Maybe in the winter my dry skin would like this. I am acne prone, and hair stick-age is a recipe for disaster. I tried the eye pencils when they first came out. I was so excited I bought like 4 shades, to do it all! But my skin is too dry and hairy (invisible baby hairs, but so many) and my complexion looked like felted, haha! I do wonder if the eye cream has that clear seal layer, and would work better if you got it all off?
I am looking into JR makeup - watched a few ads on FB with Bobbi Brown herself. You are the 2nd reviewer I’ve watched on UA-cam that has not clued into the fact you have to break the seal of the Miracle Balm first to get the pigment and full benefits of the product.
I think this line is intended for mature skin and to be honest the majority of makeup is pushed towards younger skin. I think if people with dry and mature skin trial this they would love it. From just seeing the reviews this would be best for everyday makeup that’s natural

My thoughts on the eyeshadow are that if you spend this price on a product, you shouldn’t have to use other products to make it work. So I’ll be avoiding that particular product. You should never have to use anything these days to make products work, they should do what they claim to do.

I used Bobbi Brown's old line for YEARS and it was great! Seems like a lot of these colors are duplicates from it. She has dry skin and it many Jones Road Beauty products I find to be too greasy. Unfortunately I had to give away the eye pencil and Miracle Balm. Also way too expensive! Colors and finishes are very pretty though.
My understanding from watching other creator’s videos is another star from the line is the powder eyeshadows. They’re pricey so not sure I’ll invest but my curiosity is peeked!
If you have super dry skin this is for you, will only need a pinch of powder, and for me I put on 3 light layers within a hour then powder and it lasted a good 8-10 hours… 🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻🧚🏻♀️🧜♀️🧞♀️🧝🏼♀️👸🏼👰🏼♂️
You are not using the miracle balm correctly. You need to break the top surface of the balm and then you can apply it with a brush or fingers. You can find that info on her site.
If you watched the Jones Road video, it says you should break the seal of the Miracle Balm, then warm some up on your finger tips before you use it. You did neither and that's why it did nothing for you. It's very important to always follow the instructions before saying the product didn't work for you.
Oh I didn't know all of this but this gives me something new to try out..someone else twist on makeup and I think I might like the foundation to use as a primer because it's tacky (for my fuller coverage foundation)and I might also get little glow..so I'm curious

Based on your review I feel like these products are people who want a beautiful dewy no make up look. It's probably very moisturizing and beneficial to the skin.
BB is not a newbie to creating makeup but this makeup line would make me think she is. Just not sure what she was thinking with these products. You have to break the seal on the balm. Do your homework before posting a review. If I gave a presentation at work and wasn't prepared on the subject matter there would be heck from my superiors. There is plenty of pigment if you break the seal. If you call this a job then go to work prepared.

Not for me. It doesn’t even look expensive, I think you can achieve this exact same look with drugstore makeup. A Garnier BB cream, Maybelline lipstick, an Essence eyeliner, and maybe a Colourpop Super Shock blush go a long way.
I’m 44 but still don’t think this brand is for me my hair goes frizzy so easily and I hate my hair on my face also my skin isn’t dry and I’ve oily eyelids! I like natural coverage but still some coverage and Ireland can get humid in summer so just not a brand which I’d have to go out of my way to get here! Seems like it’s for mature dry skin only not mature normal skin like my own skin!

With the balm, you didn’t get the color because you didn’t break the seal. Bobbi explains if you don’t break the seal you won’t get the color.😊😊
The miracle balm only works if you break the seal by Pushing your finger to break the top layer of the miracle balm. The pigment then comes out

You have to break the seal on the miracle balm to get the color pay off of the lip and cheek stick
I tried the concealer since my mama uses it. It works well, but I hate the design. I don't like pencils I have to sharpen from time to time.
Ive tried some of her products and I felt it was better for either a teen or a mature women above 60s
I'm so over all these no coverage balms,I can get the same effect from my skincare, moisturizer etc 😘 and the prices are too much for what they are
Also Julep Cosmetics has similar products at a fraction of the cost and is good quality, never sheer.

My understanding from watching other creator’s videos is another star from the line is the powder eyeshadows. They’re pricey so not sure I’ll invest but my curiosity is peeked!

You are not using the miracle balm correctly. You need to break the top surface of the balm and then you can apply it with a brush or fingers. You can find that info on her site.

You were supposed to beak the seal on the blush balm to get some color. I think the product is more for dry older skin.

If you watched the Jones Road video, it says you should break the seal of the Miracle Balm, then warm some up on your finger tips before you use it. You did neither and that's why it did nothing for you. It's very important to always follow the instructions before saying the product didn't work for you.
Oh I didn't know all of this but this gives me something new to try out..someone else twist on makeup and I think I might like the foundation to use as a primer because it's tacky (for my fuller coverage foundation)and I might also get little glow..so I'm curious

Ok but I think that just a sec eyeshadow (the potted one) looks SO BEAUTIFUL! It's like a sheer pretty look! Does anyone know where I can get something similar that would work better? Not necessarily the color of that one but that pretty sheer look.

I was watching Bobbie talk about the balm and she says you need to break the seal. Maybe that was it doesn't have much color pay off.
For the balm, I think you’re supposed to break the top layer and the color should show. From what she has said!
Based on your review I feel like these products are people who want a beautiful dewy no make up look. It's probably very moisturizing and beneficial to the skin.

BB is not a newbie to creating makeup but this makeup line would make me think she is. Just not sure what she was thinking with these products. So many duds & they only work for a small percentage of people. If I purchase anything it will be the eye pencil & the lip product. Thanks for the video Morgan!

I wonder if this obsession with clean bla bla is the reason why the products are like this. Limited ingredients, harder to create good products. I get a panic attack thinking about putting this foundation over my mineral spf.
You have to break the seal on the balm. Do your homework before posting a review. If I gave a presentation at work and wasn't prepared on the subject matter there would be heck from my superiors. There is plenty of pigment if you break the seal. If you call this a job then go to work prepared.
Great review. I defenitelly think that a good eyeliner is underrated, I love the charlotte tilbury and makeup forever ones. I will try to pick up some of the jones road, the rest of the products looks meh for me

I love the Jones Road foundations, lipsticks & glosses …but I pass on her blushes and eyeshadows for they are not very pigmented for my taste…

Not for me. It doesn’t even look expensive, I think you can achieve this exact same look with drugstore makeup. A Garnier BB cream, Maybelline lipstick, an Essence eyeliner, and maybe a Colourpop Super Shock blush go a long way.

I’m 44 but still don’t think this brand is for me my hair goes frizzy so easily and I hate my hair on my face also my skin isn’t dry and I’ve oily eyelids! I like natural coverage but still some coverage and Ireland can get humid in summer so just not a brand which I’d have to go out of my way to get here! Seems like it’s for mature dry skin only not mature normal skin like my own skin!
