+trollskullkid69 My comment is above yours . Howard Stern has been a necessary evil for the Catharsis of a society like ours that can be unduly phony. I have an autistic brother, if someone wanted to make it on tv with him being "honored" for making friends with him at school I'd be disgusted. But that's just my opinion I guess..
I blame the kid's soccer mom for this whole thing. What her son did was great, but she didn't need to escalate to praise him like this and put this little boy as the third wheel of this stupid worship.
"I'm very proud of my son Zach for showing a single shred of human decency. I think that he should be worshipped by the American television audience because he is not a completely selfish asshole and is capable of making friends. He is a hero."
This is disgusting and inexcusable. Congrats on writing a song that humiliated a young boy and then laugh in his face when he says it's too much of a sad portrayal of his life. 9:14 'HEY! ALL ALONE! HAHAHA!' This is his life.
EdudLufetips I know that life is cruel nothing happened to me at all. I am perfectly fine and do not treat anybody special just because they have a mental illness.
the internet Is it that hard to understand? No one is asking you to treat anyone with any kind of illness in any way---- we have doctors for that. Your contradiction is precisely what is going on here- an attempt to treat a kid 'special,' by making a mockery of his condition to boost viewership. They turn a kid who deserves to be treated in no 'special' way at all-- good or bad-- into a pity case circus sideshow. Listen to some of the lyrics of this song. "they're angels in disguise..." WTF are they on? The kid is probably thinking "No dumb bitch, I'm a kid and I go to school and I mind my own business." A major point also is that not only is he developmentally challenged, he's a child. Even if he didn't have autism he'd believe his mother was doing the right thing by parading him out here, because that's the way nature works- you tend to trust your mother, of all people, has your best interests in mind. Empathy is not only not 'treating' anyone in any way, it is really easy to do. On one end of the spectrum you have truly evil people who probably make this kid the punchline of every joke, and on the other end you have kooky dolts like KLG highlighting his misery as he is forced to swallow it and pretend to play along. This kid didn't ask for any of this-- how do you know he's not already aware that the world hasn't dealt him the same cards as paris hilton? The only reason the story got out is because the other kid's mom (the star football player) called Kathie Lee GIfford's show and bragged about how her 'handsome, popular son befriended an autistic kid who sat alone at lunch, going on and on about how great of a son she has..etc." By this kid's age, you become aware that to some, he's a pariah. He was forced on there by an idiot mother... you can tell 2 seconds in that he would rather be stuck in a sewer somewhere than be surrounded by those cackling hens. He didn't need to be humiliated on TV for him to learn this life lesson that apparently you think he doesn't already experience every day.
the internet lol. Yea right. It's so easy to see threw your posts. You didn't develop your shitty outlook on life and your thick skin from being happy and treated well your whole life. Plus everyone knows fine stands for fucked up, insecure, neurotic, and emotional.
Kathie Lee Gifford: "You had tears in your eyes, buddy. Did you like your song?" Graham: "No, it was a little too sad." People: *burst into laughter* Me: *is internally crying*

The kid isn't stupid. He knows the adults care about themselves and each other, not him. The song is to make them feel good, not the kids. And it's an 'awww, poor widdle stupid you' attitude. Damn insulting. The irony is that he's probably the smartest one here.

KLG spent her whole life and made an entire career out of convincing herself and everyone else she's anything but narcissistic. Zach should have told him mom it was messed up to send a letter in praising him for being a friend. And the other kid's mom should have never let him be exploited in such a way. And what makes Kathie Lee think singing a screechy soprano song to two teenage boys is what they want???
I'm saying, why didn't these adult women know not to do something this embarrassing but im thinking these women love kathy lee and used their sons to get to meet her and be on tv
easily one of the most irritating, aggravating god awful noises i heard in my life. I actually genuinely got pissed off after listening to that... GOOD GOD
I hate how people treat Autistics. If someone is alone everyday and you know they have diagnosed bad social skills, you don't deserve a medal for talking to them. That's what everybody should automatically do!
I deserve a medal for talking to neurotypicals. Imagine someone whose only hobbies are golf, watching The Bachelor, complaining about work stress, and following housing prices, and they can't even name their favorite Disney movie.
Okay, speaking as someone who has an autism spectrum disorder, I feel like they went completely overboard with this. First, they act as if he can't even comprehend whats going on, let me tell you, he really can, maybe even better than others. Second, the guy decided to sit next to him, yes, that may have made an impact on him, but you don't blow things completely out of proportion and write some dramatic song about it, and finally, they need to LISTEN to him. He obviously seemed uncomfortable with the situation, and he even said the song was really sad. They almost seemed to rub it in his face that he had a lonely life. No one wants that. Everytime a tv show that stereotypes autism spectrum disorders comes on, it get rubbed in my face and sometimes loads me with so much guilt that I cry (because who really wants to have their flaws they know about themselves mocked over and over again?). This is my problem with learning disabilities. They're either mocked in mainstream media, or they're seen as a problem that needs to be 'fixed' or 'dealt with'. We're not broken, we just think differently than most people do. Okay......end rant. Sorry.
He knows EXACTLY what's going on. And your right, better than any of them. None of them can see how terrible they are, otherwise none of those chairs would be occupied. He's so overwhelmed by it. Those forced smiles. In his eyes I could see he just wanted to smack Kathy, give them all the finger and walk off with his dignity. But he's trapped.
Can't they see how uncomfortable and embarrassed he is? Kathy Lee is so dense loudly singing "YOU ARE ALL ALONE!" Right after he says "it was sad" about that song. If I was that kid's parent, I would have walked off with my kid.
As an Aspie myself this is both hilarious and degrading. It's always nice to see these popular, attractive, able-bodied/minded BMOC's receive a hero's welcome because they were willing to take one for the team, travel to the dregs of the school hierarchy and actually befriend one of us special ed losers. Congratulations, Graham! You've hit the Holy Grail that all of us Aspies dream of. You get to be yet another entry on a privileged kid's brag sheet!! Yay!!
also asp, i remember so many times as a child being incredibly aware that people in a room with me were patronizing me for my lack of social skills and i would sit there and not say anything because i didn't feel the necessity to, the discomfort in those situations are felt even retrospectively. i feel like that's what's going on with him throughout this video, he's probably trying to figure out if they're actually doing a good thing for him or not
@@brandon11122It's horrible. Naturally that narcissist Kathie Lee not only has to inject herself into this story by writing a ridiculous song but she actually mistakes Graham's overwhelmed, pained tears for awe of her musical abilities. They even laugh at him when he says that it's too sad.
I am inspired by Zach's act of kindness, but I am disgusted by this program. Having been diagnosed with High Functioning Autism, which is very similar to Asperger's syndrome, I know that I would be very uncomfortable if I were in Graham's situation. These ladies made three horrible mistakes. 1. They spoke to the boy like he was mentally handicapped. This is so degrading and offensive to autistic people, because autism and mental retardation are not the same! 2. They laughed when he said the song was too sad. He most likely made this comment in all seriousness. Laughing about a comment that comes across as odd is one of the best ways to make an autistic person feel horrible. 3. That song was just awful! Of course, this is all from my personal perspective, and I could be totally wrong about how that boy felt during this show. But either way, those ladies were acting very insensitively, and he looked visibly uncomfortable in this video, and at all the points where I would have been so also.
+Barry Soetoro are you kidding me???? If Zach had any ounce of self respect he would have said no to this whole thing and said "stop acting like I freed Tibet. I sat with a lonely kid at school. That's it. I don't need a frickin awards ceremony."
We're talking about Kathy Lee and Hoda's total lack of respect for the situation. Kathy Lee sees this as an opportunity to exploit the boys situation with one of her 'amazing' songs and simply cannot see, or is too deluded to see, that she is causing the boy pain.
+chickenwing986 I am not really in to that Body Language thing but somehow I get the vibe that Hoda thinks this is egotistically tacky of Kathie Lee but she is under contract to get along with her. We all have had to suck it up in life and plaster a smile on our face even though we wish when this occurs that we we were privileged enough to drop our pants and moon and break wind in to the faces of the offender we are obligated to tolerate.
@@dianesemele2568 this, at least he should talk with his friend. If I was Zack I would talk with him and I would encourage him to off them if he can't at that moment I will gladly do it for him.
None of them seemed to know how Graham felt at all. They're just completely ignorant of how this is making that guy feel. The mother was wrong for putting him on the show. Didn't look like he wanted to even be there. His friend just seemed like an acquaintance. That and they probably didn't have an actual story for the show and decided to milk this.
This is surreal. It seems like it should be a sequence in a fever dream where you're a kid who just sad down with a kid who was alone and now everyone is praising you and making you seem like the second coming of christ. And not only does that make you uncomfortable, but the kid with you is being talked to like a child and a song is sung about how alone he is and he begins to cry. And you're waiting for something to just hit you and put you back in that seat in the cafeteria a few weeks before.
Poor Graham. Breaks my heart when he says the song were a little too sad, followed by all the laughter. Would love if kathy smiled after hearing Howard Sterns song about her and Frank Gifford.
Wow. Put him in a more uncomfortable position. Rub the fact that he was alone in his face. Ignorant people! How can they not see how much pressure they put on him? He made friends, an upbeat song would have at least been nice. They should pick up a book and learn a bit about autism, or just learn how to read people in general. He handled it extremely well at least, however you can tell he was having suppressed meltdowns.
What a horrible song and song title, and what disrespect/unprofessional behavior by the hosts. Humor should never involve negative comments especially about someones life. SARCASTIC OR NOT
There's nothing wrong with negative comments or deriving humor from them. The issue here is that they're saying these things right in front of the kid.
There are few things more wonderful than watching this video then immediately listening to Howard Stern's response. Kathie Lee is really one of the most revolting human beings on TV.
Because they are unaware of how horrible they are as human beings. They are the autistic ones when it comes to having an understanding of what it is like to hurt that boy's psyche.
I'm more than positive that Kathie Lee had good intentions but the song itself just sounds of hurtful..."Imagine if you never had a friend..You're all alone". If I were that kid I would have ran off the set. God bless his soul.
Zach and especially Graham look so fucking uncomfortable. I have asperger's and if someone wanted to put me and some other person on tv for befriending me and sing a shitty song to us I'd fucking run away.
Did they ever consider Graham actually has a part in the friendship & serves a function in Zack's life aside from being a human reminder of how virtuous he is? This segment made me cringe so hard, my facial tissue damn near ripped off of my cheek bone. JFC
They have to understand that he is trying to be serious and join in with the conversation but when people laugh at everything he he just stays quiet. Story of my life... I never speak to people...
Oof! This has to be a joke. Did Seth MacFarlane write this song for a rejected Family Guy scene that NBC somehow found in a trash pile? This sounds like something Peter Griffin would sing to Meg if she made a friend. This is one of the most awkward live segments I have ever seen.
To them he isn't. He's not good at sports, popular outgoing so that's no good in US. The Jock's mother plainly thinks of her son in a very strange way. Weird.
I was one of these kids. I'm on the spectrum. I sat alone at lunch. I had only one friend. I never was picked for group projects. But what was 10x worse was when people would treat me like this, like a little kid. It was disgusting how patronizing Kathie Lee was to Graham, calling him "sweetie" and "buddy". He can understand what you're saying normally, Kathie, he is sixteen years old, not sixteen months old. These people will never know what it's like to be treated like you are stupid by your peers and not knowing why. And how they gave the other kid a gift basket just for stepping down the social hierarchy and sitting with one of the special ed losers at lunch as if he made some kind of heroic sacrifice, with nothing in it for Graham except the Cubs tickets, which he had to take the jock to anyway. These Television Bimbos only did this to make themselves look good, not for the benefit of anyone else.
I am autistic and reminded of my high school buddy Daniel. He was supportive like this when I was in school. He moved to NYC (we're Australian), is a high school teacher and pilot.
My older brother has Aspergers. This video reminds me of the many times he was openly ridiculed during our days in high school. Nothing made me more upset than to be told by other people to "instruct" him to avoid them. He lives across an entire country way from me & I just felt the need to express my undying love for the guy who was always there for me in whatever way he could be.
Ugh so...I'm a session singer, and I just ask that we please not judge this poor singer or the co-writer. Whoever has money calls the shots, so these poor people were at the mercy of Kathy Lee, I promise you. You can have the best voice in the world but it won't fix a bad song. My thoughts are with those two who had to cobble this song together (and especially the kids, for obvious reasons).

Exactly! I think it's actually Kathie Lee and Hoda who are the ones who lack social skills. Not gram
Would have loved to have heard Howard's reaction to THAT clip
Too much Xanax and box wine.
Fucking stay at home moms lol, get some fucking life outside ur close family.
dvdragon why doesn’t Kathy Lee write a song about frank when he was cheating lol -Howard Stern
the only message that Kathy Lee sent to this boy is "how outstanding it is for someone to actually want to be your friend" this was so difficult to watch it was mean. I wanted to jump through the screen and give him a hug and say Kathy is a knuckle head
Who came here from The Howard Stern Show?
Right here buddy.
Sup
stern yep
+trollskullkid69 suh dude
+trollskullkid69 My comment is above yours . Howard Stern has been a necessary evil for the Catharsis of a society like ours that can be unduly phony. Howard, however, has been a Scumbag himself and gone way too far before and somebody said Howard once did something vile to a mentally retarded person but I don't know whether that is true or a Google Bomb. If it is then I will take my post down . Otherwise it stays up because Kathy Lee deserves the ridicule for this Travestal segment.
I have an autistic brother, if someone wanted to make it on tv with him being "honored" for making friends with him at school I'd be disgusted. But that's just my opinion I guess..
My thoughts exactly!
They make it seem as if it's an accomplishment because he made a friend. The poor kid doesn't want to be laughed at by the hosts.
Same. My brother is autistic and I would never let this happen. Over my dead body.
By looking at the number of likes and dislikes i think a lot of people agree with you
I blame the kid's soccer mom for this whole thing.
Probably word-for-word on Zach’s college applications
the singer is terrible and that poor kid was obviously uncomfortable i mean seriously "YOU ARE ALL ALOOOOOOONE YOU ARE ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE"
Well, to be fair to the singer, she had crap of a song to work with.
MetalBlade the singer isnt actually awful....but the song is.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 ahhh this is so baaad
@@haneenms6 If your dissing that autistic kid you are a disgusting piece of crap💩💩💩💩
@@alexd976 chill, when did I diss the kid. I felt really bad for him and I’m autistic too.
This is disgusting and inexcusable. Congrats on writing a song that humiliated a young boy and then laugh in his face when he says it's too much of a sad portrayal of his life. 9:14 'HEY! ALL ALONE! HAHAHA!' This is his life.
Good the kid learned how cruel life is and nobody cares about him.
EdudLufetips
Nobody; I am a realist that knows you need a thick skin in life.
EdudLufetips
I know that life is cruel nothing happened to me at all.
The kid is probably thinking "No dumb bitch, I'm a kid and I go to school and I mind my own business."
A major point also is that not only is he developmentally challenged, he's a child.
"you're the boss buddy, yeah you are!"
what the fuck is he, a dog?
Also the "your quite the athlete" "I see your throwing the baseball"
and he's like "Yeah not really" in a sarcastic way hahahahahaha he knows whats up

Kathie Lee Gifford: "You had tears in your eyes, buddy. Did you like your song?"
Graham: "No, it was a little too sad."
People: *burst into laughter*
Me: *is internally crying*
I think Graham, like many autistic people, does have an advanced musical comprehension. I think when he said it was too sad, it was his nice way of saying it was sophomoric, poorly structured, and written by an imbacile.
@@Anthonybevilacquaviolin Yeah, the melody was as childish as it gets. Bearable, though. But damn, those lyrics were so thoughtless and mean. Despicable segment altogether. Atrocious television. As stupid as this world mostly is (especially mainstream media), it's still hard to believe that this is actually a thing.
As an autistic person, one of the worst feelings is when people not only disregard your emotions, but actively mock them.
We'll get david to jazz it up sometime "All alone! All alooooooooooooooooooooooooone!"
oh my god they humiliated this kid, imagine praising someone just for being friends with you, it's as if NO ONE could ever want to befriend you and now this guy is a hero for doing it. how insulting, how fucking awful
He was SO brave not caring what his stupid friends might think! What a hero. Give it time we'll be like this v v soon.
The kid isn't stupid. He knows the adults care about themselves and each other, not him. The song is to make them feel good, not the kids. And it's an 'awww, poor widdle stupid you' attitude. Damn insulting.
The irony is that he's probably the smartest one here.
Autistic ppl are usually smart
They are being condescending..it's horrible. Kathy Lee doesn't understand how bad this is .she is from a different time.
He spoke his mind...they chalk is up to a joke when he's more serious than a heart attack.
@@delilasloan8914 KLG was never that bright. The way I see it, she's the boomer generation's answer to Kim Kardashian; famous for being famous. Except in a way, she's worse. At least KK knows what she is and doesn't pretend to herself or to anyone else she's anything but that. KLG spent her whole life and made an entire career out of convincing herself and everyone else she's anything but narcissistic. And of course, she married a Chad who, judging by his kids, Cody and Cassidy, might have actually been intelligent before all those head shots he took on the football field caught up with him.
@Delila Sloan not a different time, unfortunately. But absolutely a place of extreme entitlement.
This must be what hell is like, full of sadistic people not knowing they are inflicting pain and grinning all the while. This is actually really hard to watch, it's like watching slaughterhouse footage or of dogs being gassed.
I watch your physics videos. Wasn't expecting to see your comment here. I agree this is really sad.
Muon Ray Just watching that bit made me mad.
***** I don't have autism and I probably would have committed suicide if I was brought on TV and told the only reason anyone hangs out with me is out of pity.
I actually remember having at least one bad dream as a child of being horrified at something and then having an adult laugh at it-exactly as Muon Ray so cogently describes this hideous TV segment.
This whole video is like a damn satire.
Expect it isn't...
😢
this whole thing is insane. I can't fucking believe they wrote a song about it
More proof that truth is Stranger Than Fiction
Oh god that was every bit as bad as Howard described.
i came from that to
Even worse, really. When you see the kid on screen its just heartbreaking
come the fuck on.. Seriously, this must be hell for Graham, he is being made into a freak, and they are basically making a news story out of an everyday normal friendship. This is ridiculous, they act like autism makes him unable to have friends. jesus this is dumb.
Poor boy looks like he is internally screaming the whole time. He must've been so uncomfortable.
"WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE ALONE, SITTING AT THE CAFETERIA TABLE!?"
I CAN'T GET OVER HOW BAD THAT SONG SUCKED!!!

ALL ALONE, ALL ALONE!!!! like what the actual fuck just happened
Seriously awkward how everyone started laughing at the kid’s response when he was asked why he teared-up when listening to the song. JUST SO STUPID!
As a professional musician, I don't know WHAT the fuck I just listened to.
But I do wish those two boys all the very best in life.
Zach should have told him mom it was messed up to send a letter in praising him for being a friend. And the other kid's mom should have never let him be exploited in such a way. And what makes Kathie Lee think singing a screechy soprano song to two teenage boys is what they want???
I'm sure both those guys didn't want to go. But mommy made them.
I'm saying, why didn't these adult women know not to do something this embarrassing but im thinking these women love kathy lee and used their sons to get to meet her and be on tv
It's the narcissistic moron in her. I don't want to know what poor Frank had to put up with dealing with her stupid grapefruit head.

Who came here because of Howard Stern?
Andrew Schroy me. Why does frank smell like tuna fish
That moment everyone laughs at Grams comment of being a little too sad, that captures the exact moment that that kid dies completely inside.
This is the most disturbing thing ive ever seen. This poor kid is essentially being humiliated ON NATIONAL TELEVISION.
Gram's mom was crying , Gram the saint!
Don’t apologize. You’re absolutely right
Holy fuck, that song was hideous.
Lol they’re treating this dude like he’s a leper. Talk about being tone deaf
Can't they see how uncomfortable and embarrassed he is? Kathy Lee is so dense loudly singing "YOU ARE ALL ALONE!" Right after he says "it was sad" about that song. If I was that kid's parent, I would have walked off with my kid.
Wait. What was with that horrific Disney wannabe bootleg song?! That was horrendous! WTF WAS THAT?!
At the end they gave the jock a basket of gifts and only gave him one of 2 tickets to a game. It was almost symbolic.
ok
As an Aspie myself this is both hilarious and degrading. It's always nice to see these popular, attractive, able-bodied/minded BMOC's receive a hero's welcome because they were willing to take one for the team, travel to the dregs of the school hierarchy and actually befriend one of us special ed losers. Congratulations, Graham! You've hit the Holy Grail that all of us Aspies dream of. You get to be yet another entry on a privileged kid's brag sheet!! Yay!!
also asp, i remember so many times as a child being incredibly aware that people in a room with me were patronizing me for my lack of social skills and i would sit there and not say anything because i didn't feel the necessity to, the discomfort in those situations are felt even retrospectively. i feel like that's what's going on with him throughout this video, he's probably trying to figure out if they're actually doing a good thing for him or not
Underrated comment.
this comment made me laugh and then immediately i felt bad remembering this all really happened on live TV ffs
Privileged kids brag sheet?
This was so uncomfortable. I felt so bad for those two kids. Adults suck.

+daniel McCart perhaps
What a bunch of cold hearted, soulless, and deluded people (except for the poor 15 year old who is being totally victimized/patronized)
We all have had to suck it up in life and plaster a smile on our face even though we wish when this occurs that we we were privileged enough to drop our pants and moon and break wind in to the faces of the offender we are obligated to tolerate.
chickenwing986 the guy who befriended him seems to get the hosts are being rude but those bitches should be shot
@@dianesemele2568 this, at least he should talk with his friend. If I was Zack I would talk with him and I would encourage him to off them if he can't at that moment I will gladly do it for him.
BREAKING NEWS: TWO KIDS BECAME FRIENDS
Zack during that song "Oh my god this song is killing my high".
None of them seemed to know how Graham felt at all. They're just completely ignorant of how this is making that guy feel.
The mother was wrong for putting him on the show. Didn't look like he wanted to even be there.
His friend just seemed like an acquaintance.
That and they probably didn't have an actual story for the show and decided to milk this.
yeah their "friendship" does seem self serving, especially when he said after they became friends everybody else wanted to be his friend.
The kid was simply used a convenient prop to advance the bit.
_HEY LOOK AT ALL THIS STUFF!...BUT THESE ARE FOR ZACH NOT YOU GRAHAM!_ lmao 😂
Poor Graham. Breaks my heart when he says the song were a little too sad, followed by all the laughter. Would love if kathy smiled after hearing Howard Sterns song about her and Frank Gifford.
I agree what sons of bitches...
I was watching TheOnion videos and clicked on this one not realizing it wasn't satire lmao I can't believe this is serious
Well you know what they say. Truth is Stranger Than Fiction.
Shameless exploitation. And the lyrics are so treacly & badly written that it makes "Red Solo Cup" look like a Dylan song.
Mr Sarajevo LOL Are you referring to the Toby Keith opus. ? If you are go listen to " Shadow Dancing ' by Andy Gibb.
What a horrible song and song title, and what disrespect/unprofessional behavior by the hosts. Humor should never involve negative comments especially about someones life.
SARCASTIC OR NOT
Learn to host a show, even I know this
I wonder how many itune downloads the song got.
There's nothing wrong with negative comments or deriving humor from them. The issue here is that they're saying these things right in front of the kid.
It took all of 6 measures for me to realize that song was written by an imbacile.
It's even worse if it's sarcastic hahah
Rewarding good people with a conversation with Kathie Lee Gifford. The world is fucked.
I have a physical disability and I am offended by this. If someone came up and wrote a song like this for me I would punch them in the face.

There are few things more wonderful than watching this video then immediately listening to Howard Stern's response. Kathie Lee is really one of the most revolting human beings on TV.
“Miracles can happen”, because it’s a miracle someone wants to be his fake friend? How insulting.
Zach isn’t faking it though. He legit wanted to befriend him. His mom, however, is nuts and so are the interviewers.
I dont understand why they were laughing when he said the song was sad
Because they are unaware of how horrible they are as human beings. They are the autistic ones when it comes to having an understanding of what it is like to hurt that boy's psyche.
I'm more than positive that Kathie Lee had good intentions but the song itself just sounds of hurtful..."Imagine if you never had a friend..You're all alone". If I were that kid I would have ran off the set. God bless his soul.
So it's a fucking miracle for the kid to have a friend?
Zach and especially Graham look so fucking uncomfortable. I have asperger's and if someone wanted to put me and some other person on tv for befriending me and sing a shitty song to us I'd fucking run away.
10:07 The way the guy walks off is hilarious, he doesn't give a fuck. Like an old man crossing the street
That song was awkward af.
Sad and embarrassing. The mother and Kathy Lee trying to make it all about how great THEY are and treating the kid like a leper or something.
This is like South Park but in real life.

Did they ever consider Graham actually has a part in the friendship & serves a function in Zack's life aside from being a human reminder of how virtuous he is? This segment made me cringe so hard, my facial tissue damn near ripped off of my cheek bone. JFC

Oof!
This has to be a joke. Did Seth MacFarlane write this song for a rejected Family Guy scene that NBC somehow found in a trash pile? This sounds like something Peter Griffin would sing to Meg if she made a friend.
This is one of the most awkward live segments I have ever seen.
They talk about him like he's not a person
To them he isn't. He's not good at sports, popular outgoing so that's no good in US. The Jock's mother plainly thinks of her son in a very strange way. Weird.
that song was insensitive
I feel so bad for him :(
These people really don't know anything about autistic people! Omg...
What about Gram's present
That was soooo cheesy, poor kid
That song was beautiful to say the least, really it was; the last fucking nail on the coffin to humiliate the kid on live tv .

He moved to NYC (we're Australian), is a high school teacher and pilot.
This is too painful to watch.
I'm here because of Howard Stern! "It was a little too sad" ...haha dead.
