    I own a GPZ and an Equinox 800. The Equinox doesn't even come close to the GPZ when it comes to goldfields and gold.
    Great machine, but as with most things, you get what you pay for. I will agree that the NOX does surprise a lot, it is a great machine for it's price.

    • @VoGusProspecting
      @VoGusProspecting  6 років тому +4

      swiftrick15 for sure man, there's no compering them. The 7000 is an amazing bit of kit.
      I was more referring to the ability of the NOX for the price. Picking up a shotgun pellet on mineralized ground with a standard coil for a coin machine is outstanding.

    • @swiftrick15
      @swiftrick15 6 років тому +1

      Yeah, true that. Plus shot gun pellets just comes with the territory of gold detecting.
      One great thing about the GPZ is that gold has a distinct sound on it, even over lead. Its purely audio, which is how I hunt with the NOX, and the pinpointer on the NOX can also reveal a lot about a target and its shape.

      I have the Equinox 800 and it has a tone, all of its own, when swung over gold. Comparing the two detectors is redundant, considering the price difference and that the Equinox is a multi-use machine.

      Wow! At last, someone with an honest opinion about an Equinox. I was even told by a guy that his Equinox was better than my XP Deus! I mean seriously guys. It might be a decent machine for its price but please keep the comments plausible. Cheers all.

    Ok, this is why these videos are of big service. I have a MD that has only found me stuff at the beach. tons of tabs and coins. I think I got a gold ring but it was clad. However that tells me that the Garrett Gold Pro detected. Guess what..Im taking it to the river now that I saw you using it here. My target is the pieces of mountain the recent storm Maria left behind. Thanks for the timen and effort on these (lets name them as they are) Productions. I live in dunolly in the golden triangle and started panning and even got myself a detector 😁 was going insane in my shed with my tarantulas and needed an escape and this hobby has done that, have even lost 9kg from the hours of walking around I’ve done in the past month. Just wanted to say thanks as your vids have been a great to watch and very informal. I have the Equinox 800 and have been finding led 22 bullets at 2-4” deep and bbs at 1-2”.. no gold yet but have been having great fun with it.. sadly i dont know anyone that would want to join me in the bush.. very limited friends😂 i also have the 6” coil

    Mate, if you're getting shotgun pelletts with the 600, that's good news because you will get nuggets too...my biggest nuggets come from Central Victoria (Mainly Enfield Forest , Creswick Forest and Close to Dunach) and my biggest one, at the moment, is 39 Grams :)

    Also positioning of targets like orientation and location of other ferrous items nearby can cause the signal to only sound one way. The NOX is very good at seeing stuff. I have dug a few deep silver coins that only made a sound one way.
    I commend you for using the 600, I couldn't look for gold without a constant threshold.
    Good luck. Keep up the good work

    Should have scraped up a couple of tubs of the stuff around where the little nuggets and even the shotgun pellets were found to run through a sluice when you got home. there would have been some concentration of heavies due to surface sheet flow. On second thoughts probably not all that environmentally friendly.

  • @swiftrick15

    I think there will be not much diff between the 6" and stock coil. It will most probably be better because its smaller and can get into tighter spots. I think this is due to how well the stock coil works with the MULI-IQ and separating targets and this might not be beneficial on a 6" coil.
    I will wait and see how others go before I dive in, but this seems to be the consensus at the moment. Could be why Minelab has not been in a rush to release them.
    Also, loved those replica nuggets.
    And your dog is cool. Always cracks me up.

    • @VoGusProspecting
      @VoGusProspecting  6 років тому

      swiftrick15 I feel as if it would help 600 owners in this sort of ground (or very target dense locations) as like you said it will be getting between each one.
      In the mineralized ground the detector would have less noise I feel as the amount of ground under it would be less.

So do guys or hobbyist actually do quite well down under making a living finding gold nuggets that is !!! It's merely a one day of the week for me in the hobby chasing placer gold in creeks such as yourself down there but boy is the gold here ultra small but plentiful when working decomposed bedrock and finding the occasional pickers are here and there to had after moving what seems to be a ton of material !!!
