When it get warm they come out or into your house and you will most likely find them in your toilet or your basements subpump. Only use a bat doorway in the hottest months of the summer. Otherwise you risk trapping them in the attic which will breed smell and pestilence.
I have a bat that is in my house that just appeared last night. Its was kinda creepy. But over night we closed the doors and opened the windows to see if it would go out. Does that help? I'm only 15 and my mum doesnt want to spend money on removal so thats what she tried.
The key to bat removal is simple. Water. They have to leave your attic and drink water. You need to find the places that bats are entering your home and repair them. Leave one open and install a bat exit. This is an exit that has no way back in. Every bat has to leave the attic to drink water every day. Wait a few days and seal up the last entry point to your attic. No more bats!
