Sir! As a 3d printing enthusiast and potter, I love this. Second, looking at the infill stuff you are working on at the bottom, another experiment you could try is having the nozzle closer to your bat for the first row. It might solve two things, the “sticking” issue and the gaps in the first layer. This is often the solution for the same thing with plastic 3d printing. Have fun!

Since the normal printer for my photography project to this is, just, an unbelievable upgrade i had never thought about.

Can’t wait to see the finished results. I love seeing things that look so simple, yet have the itty-bitty complications that make so much difference between elegant and crap.

And this is definitely one of those things where it is taking a while to get all the little minutia dialed in to make it work right

Weird, expensive idea: could you take silver clay (clay that you put onto a kiln and it turns into solid silver) and 3D print with it to make 3D printed silver pieces?

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:15 🏺 They are using a 3D clay printer to create various forms and planters in the ceramics studio.
01:07 🖨️ The clay used for printing is softer than normal clay, with more water content to facilitate the printing process.
02:10 🔄 They have loaded the clay into Plexiglas tubes and attached a nozzle to prepare for 3D printing.
03:26 🛠️ The initial 3D print didn't work well due to incorrect settings, highlighting the need for practice and learning to improve consistency.
04:16 📏 The first successful print is achieved, but there's still room for tweaking settings to improve the results.
05:39 🧮 They emphasize the importance of getting the right settings for the bottom layer of 3D printed clay to ensure correct thickness and infill for consistent results.
06:03 🌱 They mention plans to create larger versions of the printed models and are experimenting with attaching feet to the planters.
06:20 🎉 They successfully printed five planters and are excited about further experimentation with finishing techniques in the future.

Sir, I really like your whole work. I have a question, it is necessary only water to be able to find the consistency in the mud for bein extruder?

Beautiful. Hey, what's the price of the printer. And I was wondering whether a cement paste in the same consistency as the clay could be used in this.

Hi there. Did you make the 3dprinter from a kit? If so, which kit did you use? Thank you very much.

Why don't you combine 3D- printed pieces with thrown or handbuilt Elements...perhaps then the printed surface is more interesting..

While like 3d printing those do not look good... I think rather do slab molds like I get logistically this is less labor per unit and time so you can mass produce and still charge normal prices, but just meh I would sooner use a real 3d printer to make slab molds or even dyes, and then do plaster molds of a 3d print then use that thing..
