NorthridgeFix is trying as much to give us better video. Thank you however you have a very good cam lens. Pls tell us about it
Everyone is asking for the Camera info. I'll pin this comment. Camera Sony A7IV ebay.us/3lxqWy and Lens Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 ebay.us/gjyeS4. Amazing Combo and the Bokeh on the lens exceeded expectations. I'm shooting at at F5.6. At f2,8 background blur is crazy. I was previously using the Canon 5D Mark III which is an amazing camera for photography but lacks autofocus in video mode..
@@NorthridgeFix yep you mentioned in one of your video that you ordered the sony A7IV as soon as video started instantly i said that's the new camera he mentioned in his previous video
New camera and lens are a big improvement, but I liked the old wide angle and deep depth of field. The security camera like footage was part of the magic of this channel - something different than the normal youtube format
@@NorthridgeFix Really nice upgrade! Looks so much better now
New camera angle. Great 👍
Yeah..
Nice camera angle..
Yep love the new angle nice and fresh, Leave it as is!
so we do not see the mess on the bench - i see what you dit there :D
The beard is much more sexy beard
Very good quality of the image
ive been binge watching your videos from a span of years to months and the subtle changes to each videos has been amazing. watching funny enough i randomly found your channel and its been amazing to watch you dont hold back and keep it real
You and Big Boss are truly masters of your craft! I was watching that one guy that sounds like a robot and rarely fixed anything, but not anymore.. very happy right here. Thanks for the cool videos and insights on life.
Love listening to your videos at work. Your make the hours pass for me faster. Thanks, Alex!
Lot of stuff going in the shop. Looks like business is booming. Great going Alex!
I might be sending you three hard drives soon. All no spin and not being recognized by the pc.
I enjoy watching you repairs, I studied electrical technology in Eli Whitney HS but switched to electronicsc and communications in 1968 when in joined the US Army.
. I am from Brooklyn. I enjoy you channel because you teach the proper analysis techniques and have all the proper tools. The correct analysis of a problem leads to a solution. I was taught that by my military instructors. If you did not know the theory of how the equipment worked you weren't allowed to use a scope or voltmeter. This was a discipline you were taught. I used it for 42 years. I retired from Verizon Business in Nyc
I worked for many different companies over the years but still applied the same thing. Your are great teacher.
Keep up the great work.thank you.
Northridgefix is going to new heights....awesome. great work Alex. Love that v2 microscope
The youtube algorithm really came through and is doing it’s job finding the northridgefix channel is a good source of professional knowledge and entertainment i hope the channel subscribers count keeps climbing much love from the uk
Loving the new camera angle. Looks good when you're talking straight to us!
Great quality video packed with information from beginning to end. Like the sense of humor as well.
the change in video Quality is great, looks more professional
keep up the good work
new angle of attack is very nice, with a new camera or lense im guessing. i did like to see the view of the desk too, i love your tools haha. your videos just get better and better, top work as always. please keep the reviews of the tools comming, im a fellow repairer and it really helps to know what the stuff is like in actual use. Thankyou as always
2 minutes talking about light.
We know already about the illumination in your workstation.
Love your work!
Been a subscriber for a while. Today I finally decided to try and fix my sister's laptop using Alex's tips and tricks. I was able to diagnose it using some sketchy diy voltage injector and my finger as my 'thermal camera' 😹. It worked guys.
SUPER NICE crispy clear HD video! THANK YOU!!
Love your video's Alex & Big Boss you are such a great team together with your dad. The samsung laptop which did have a chargeport where no universal adapter fits really got me ROTFL amazing how weird this is. Great content, Great Channel, Great community
How a small change can affect the whole scene, this camera angle has proved it, we all are also aboard in this journey of yours.
Wow, nice new angle and view. Great. Crisp and sharp picture. Amazing work.
The moment when bigboss allready waiting behind you😂 he keeps pushing to move foreward. Nice work. Thank you for the video. Greets
Amazing new camera and angle, a really nice improvement. Keep up the good work.
Hope u never stop making videos Alex love them and learning alot
i love how Alex is not only keep the soldering quality better than factory, but the camera image quality also. 👍😎
One of yesterdays jobs was fitting a new micro USB (not the right one, obviously - that would be too easy) after someone else already tried and failed. It's now super solid (thanks to epoxy) but this video was very soothing - replacement using the right part that fits properly is a thing of beauty.
I really like the new angle view .The lighting is really nice as well ! you could try some type of small clamp ,low tension , just enough to hold the connector so you don't crack the board .
He could also just have a small piece of silicone to put between his finger and part.
I like the new camera angles! Nice work!
Thank you for listening my advice about the front facing camera
Hey Alex ! Just an advice (and to answer the almighty question "What can you do?") - @7:15 - you don't need keep holding the connector like that if you solder 2 pins from the top. You'll finish the back afterwards.
Nice change in regards to the camera perspective.
Hi Alex, this is a great channel and I just love it. I hope you don't mind me saying but you sound just like the Aardvark from the tv show of my childhood ( The Ant And The Aardvark1969) which is an added bonus for me being a child of the 70's. Fair play to you all there.
Love the new camera, lighting and angle! Much better
I'm enjoying the new video quality, always great work alex!
Loved the using the washing machine to clean solder wick!
Love the new camera. Crystal clear!!
Can't 😴, so i decided to get some knowledge before trying to go back to sleep. Keep up the great work Ali. See you soon.
FLUX IS YOUR FRIEND:)EPIC!!Thanks for all!
Omg I love the camera upgrade ❤️. Now everything looks so awesome.
What you said about polarised light is correct. I commented regarding this on another great youtubers channel but I was not so eloquent as you in describing the difference. At least I tried.
Nice camera for head shot! Great segment.
I'm missing the old camera angle and that it was a little bit darker. It felt like I'm sitting right next to you in the shop. Great feeling as a viewer.
Not sure about the new camera angle and the blurred background, I think I liked the old style better. Still, great video as always
I love your videos I always learn something new. What is the hardest repair you had to do?
Camera angle and quality. Definitely very much improved 🌟🌟🌟
Wow the video looks high quality and is so interesting to view
Clean wick in dishwasher 🤣🤣🤣 priceless, now my dishwasher needs sent in for repair 🤣 your humor is spot on brother! Thank you for the videos
I have soldered since I was 10. You make it look like magic
Fantastic work!
Wow, video upgrades are nice!👍
Wow! Great New angel camera and good quality! Awesome!
Awesome quality of the Video!
Very beautiful view of cam and very good work 👌👌👌
Great video. I prefere the previous view with your cam, because we can look your desk, multimeter and power supply.
Are you using new camera or new camera lens or this magic is just due to different camera angle ? Whatever it is, it's Awesome 👌🏻😊 switching between your focus face & microscope view is so awesome 👍🏻
You are, no doubt, one of the very most mirror (models) for us (beginners). However, we would like to come back to the beginning. What about fixing a MacBook 2012? What about teaching fundamentals of trouble-shooting?
You are my mirror! And you somehow change May Day in a positive way. Thank you master!
New camera angle and new camera and lighting i presume?. Great video as always
ohhh.... I noticed one major thing, you have got a better lens now........very nice depth of field......video loos great
Awesome camera and camera angle🤩🤩
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
One humble advise from me on these older Toshiba laptops: Always make sure that the cooler is free of dust which might block the airflow! I had a lot of them which were quickly overheating even if the fan was running on full speed.
Ditto. Just had to repair two where customer complained of heat and being slow. CPU running near 98 deg Celsius. Make habit of replacing thermal paste as well
Toshiba and older Acer are the ones I see with dust, fan issues. Crappy design, but not high end systems. I just do it as hobby yo take wife out to dinner and not do HDL stuff 😉
I also do a "refresh" generally, once it's open it's not too much extra, but I'd leave that to bigboss at Northridge if your component level guy has work backed up you don't want them doing easy stuff as much. So maybe these things get done during reassembly etc 👍
I got a free hp laptop from a coworker because he was embarassed that dropping it caused the cooling fan to explode lock up. $40 for a new fan and battery it's been working perfectly for 2 years
Wall of insulation. I have seen some absolute cluster Fks
You can use good quality solder sucker and remove dip components easy. Btw you do awesome like a magic 🪄. Good job habibi 👍
Wow new set look good and more like professional 👍
New camera is cool but I really liked seeing your bench
Looking good with new camera and nice angle
Amazing work!
You are the man 👨 the best I have ever seen.
Alhamdulillah I love watching your videos. May Allah bless you and your family. Jazakallah Khairan
Good job mate 👍
Congratulations for the new camera, bro🔥
I love your videos I always learn something new. Greetings from Serbia😊😊😊❤
You can try using a silicone pad on your finger when you hold connectors like that. Might insulate enough to give you the few extra seconds you need.
Glad you still have your sense of humour.
Mabrouk for the New camera !! it's Great !!
@NorthridgeFix, been a fan and subscribed for a long time. It would be great if sometimes you could move a ruler into view frame so viewers can actually see the true scale of the components your working with and soldering. While looking at the video I often forget just how small the components you're working with actually are. Great channel keep up the great work.
Great suggestion. Or maybe some easier like a 2032 cell?
Good suggestion
Assalamualaikum brother love your work
New cam facing you shows bigger space around you..... nice setup
love the new camera nice
بسم الله ماشاءالله تبارك الله مبروك علي الكاميرا الجديدة وبالتوفيق دائما يارب
Nice camera and camera angle.
With low melt solder, it appears like you are performing magic. I will be ordering low melt solder from your store very soon.
It is truly amazing... must have for jacks and stubborn solder from manufacturer
New camera angle + better lens. Nice
Like the new camera angle. Seems to be a new camera or lens with the bokeh.
Top man Alex!
The new camera angle is just 🤩🤩
i love this new concept
Cool video 😎
I see the light 🤣. Great video 👍
والله يا علي كل يوم بحرق اصابعي هههههه سلامات على كل حال .. تحياتي متابعك من الاردن
yeah do a comparison with anti glare and polarised light. That would be great
In the past Thinkpads had connectors separated from the motherboard for power, Lenovo removed this and even large gamming machines where we have space, they still don't have separated connectors.
The plastic they use can be strong for normal power bricks, but for 230W and higher, even the cable can do a lot of strain to the connector when hangs from the desk.
Yes, it is bad design, on the long (or short) time it fails under the stress.
The older laptops almost all had a separate cable to the power connector, they hold fine after many years of heavy use.
It will be even worse with USB-C i think?
Yes, they need those laptop to not last longer so you can buy a new one. That's the new strategy of those company in general. Just buy a P50/P51 and they will live longer than you. 😂
I tried putting my wick in dishwasher. It worked! It Also fixed my loose dishwasher HDMI connector.
OK, I have to ask. Do your donor boards come from A. bulk purchases you make, B. Abandoned repairs not picked up or C. a lot of dumpster diving? Thanks for posting all of your videos and take care!
I approve, I use a two step 5000 - 8000k led bar on the back of my work table, it's always set at 8000k yes it makes a difference, I have a polarized lens with my microscope but I never use it. (It depends on the angle really)
glad big boss is back !
Wow the camera autofocus is great
Amazing your all video
I like your work, and speed of work. Lets abuse you little bit. "Low melt solder" .... does it mit it melts low ? Or it melt at lower temperature so you can call it "Low temp melt solder" Just reminder "we" listen what you are saying and trying to learn something with every repair. Good Work, have a Nice Day.
Educated guess: it's low temperature melt, so having some on the tip and going over the contacts mixes the normal lead free already there with the low melt. This makes a semi-low melt mix that means you need less heat added (or gives you longer "liquid" time after removing the iron.
If moving from one end of a set of pins to the other, it means the first pin/pad is more likely to stay liquid/melted as you melt the last joint, and the component is free!
Nice new camera :)
great job, keep it up
Please make one video on how Big Boss handle the inward material, how he opens the things, how he organize the different components of different customers and all..
That wick you use. We use to build nicad batteries with that back in the 90 In rc racing
New camera angle is op ❤
You can buy polarizer with regulation of the light that is blocked. I have it and I'm super satisfied with that. And combination of this polarizer and gooseneck led lights makes this even better. You know where to search it...
