I kinda wish they had separated the main burner into a left and right side burner to allow for true indirect cooks like the Napoleon Travel Pro 285. Only because of that, I (a Weber guy) am considering to get the Napoleon instead. Other than indirect grilling I'd be interested in how those two grills compare when it comes to low&slow. But I can't find anything. Also, the new Weber Qs are still (!) not available in Europe, and the retailers' best guess is that we'll have to wait till spring. Ridiculous...
Ya maybe someday they split the chamber, it would certainly help to be able to grill indirect! Thanks for watching and hopefully they get in-stock. They are not the only company struggling with this.
Thanks Jeff - Being a camper, this grill resonates well with me. - You often see a version of this unit on almost half of the campsites. This next generation seems to add a lot of needed convenience features, especially high heat. - The rotisserie would be out of the park! The only thing it doesn't have is dual zone cooking (sad, because rearranging the burners would have been simple and effective) - Cheers!
I agree Garry!!! Great pit but 2 zone cooking is still going to be tricky!!! Hopefully they eventually come out with a portable grill that could split up the burners!!! But out of all the gas grills I am in the process reviewing right now, this one might stay in my arsenal for a while!!! Thanks for watching brother!!!
We just got one and we love it! Love your videos, thanks for being thorough and engaging. Now, the ketchup - hotdog thing…. 👎 Everyone knows mustard is king! 🤣
Mine is the older one. Easy to clean. I sometimes use a safetey pin to clear the holes on the gas element. Instead of Weber grease pans, I use cheaper foil pans from the supermarket. Excellent Grill. Weber !
They have a 5lb type 1 LP tank you can buy @ Ace Hardware, 13" H x 8" W. I have one I'm a Plumber, I can unscrew my Turbo Torch and use it for my grill.
My first job was at a Pondarosa. I could see you putting ketchup on a hot dog. After all, you're in Wisconsin where the men are men and the sheep are scared...LOL Nice review on that Q, cool little cooker!
the Q series has been my goto since 2015. bought one for tailgating and ended up buying the 3200 for home. 10/10 best grill if you not feeding 5+ people every night.
I don't think you can store them in the bowl but honestly I never tried!! They showed on the manual to store them in the slots below. Thanks for watching!!
Well as far as 2 zone cooking, that is still going to be kind of tricky!! But as far as grilling, it did a great job. If I remember correctly it runs pretty hot so for real low temp cooking, this is not the right pit to do that. Thanks for watching!!
HAHAHAHA It just popped in my head!!! Been a long time since I was at one but I remember they made an ok steak but it was really affordable!! Thanks for watching Curtis!!!!

Mine is the older one. Easy to clean. I sometimes use a safetey pin to clear the holes on the gas element. Instead of Weber grease pans, I use cheaper foil pans from the supermarket. Excellent Grill. Weber !

Can you use the small portable propane tanks for tail gating? I don’t want to drag a 20lb tank.
Yes you can!
They have a 5lb type 1 LP tank you can buy @ Ace Hardware, 13" H x 8" W. I have one I'm a Plumber, I can unscrew my Turbo Torch and use it for my grill.

Heck ya George!!! This little guy isn't cheap but I was honestly very impressed!!! Like always, thanks for watching brother!!
I saw you remove the shelves and slide them into a slot, but can they also fold into the dome or fold down to the sides like previous models? Thanks!
I don't think you can store them in the bowl but honestly I never tried!! They showed on the manual to store them in the slots below. Thanks for watching!!
Nice review for high heat but would like to see you do some low and slow cooking and temps.
Well as far as 2 zone cooking, that is still going to be kind of tricky!! But as far as grilling, it did a great job. If I remember correctly it runs pretty hot so for real low temp cooking, this is not the right pit to do that. Thanks for watching!!

Heck ya Scotty!!! The Q is a nice little gasser for sure!!! Thanks for watching!!

Would you choose the Q over the weber traveler?
Yes! I like it a tad better for traveling! Thanks for watching!
Can a 16 oz tank be used on the q+?
