    1) Choosing “low calorie” or “sugar free” foods
    2) consuming fat-free foods
    3) food deprivation. Don’t do diets that you wouldn’t be able to do for more than 3-6 months. not sustainable
    4) starving yourself. Over restricting calories. Causes starvation mode and health issues
    Things to do instead
    5) eat whole, clean foods.
    6) Less sauces. Try salsa, lemon, acv, spices etc.
    7) you can train your tastebuds.

    i have PCOS and it’s so hard for me to lose weight. i also can’t maintain a healthy diet like you said in one of your videos, i go to med school and don’t have the time to actually go to the gym or eat proper. but these tips are honestly so helpful, thankyou so much!

      I would add 1-2 tbsp of peanut butter, almond butter or even avocado to protein smoothies in addition to my 3 meals- I smell food and gain weight! Life is so crazy that way. Best of luck ♥️

    Great video. However, you can be eating all the healthiest foods, but if you’re not in a caloric deficit you won’t lose weight!

    That's very true about training out taste buds. I was the sweets queen 👸🏻. I looove Chocolate. I started buying the vegan Lily's Stevia Sweetened Chocolate Chips. At first they were super bitter for me 😖 but as I kept snacking on them I got used to the taste and now I just love them!

      Intermittent fasting doesn’t starve you unless you’re eating too little calories during your eating window.

    I had 100kg. I started exercising every day, two hours cardio and one hour with equipment, and monitor my eating, only healthy food in small portions. Two weeks later I have 1.3kg more. I am so disappointed that right now I am eating bag of chips. I knew I want lose much but to gain weight after two weeks of every day dieting and exercising, is just making me give up all hope.

      @Marina Matic .. You have a body type that gains muscle mass first so that you now burn fat. The opposite is burn fat first then gaining muscle mass. Furthermore, if only 2 weeks can make you stop, it's better not to continue because it should be a lifestyle. Discipline your mind first😇

    What is the difference between intermittent fasting and starvation mode?

      Intermittent fasting isn’t based around how much food you eat, but when you eat it. You only starve yourself if you consume too little calories during your eating window. (I’m not an expert, but that’s just what I know. IF can be pretty beneficial if done right.)

    Have you used tarte or dermacare sunscreen powder? If so, what are you opinions? I was just watching a clog from a dermatologist and she uses tarte powder sunscreen to touch up her sunscreen through out the day, and I just had know idea that it was even a thing. I'm going to ask skinny confidential also. I love your collab videos, because you both love skin care as much as I do and I just love the enthusiasm, it makes me smile, ☺️ thank you. maybe you could do a video on different sunscreens that you like.

    I thought you only get insulin spikes when you first start eating artificial sweeteners. I don’t remember what article (I was reading up on it when I was in a bch lab) but it mentioned that people who has incorporated it into their diets over months don’t see those spikes.

    How does sugar and fat stop you losing weight? Yes it may be unhealthy, but it won't stop you losing weight. Too many calories will stop you losing weight.

    My problem is overeating, once a week I have a problem with that 😥, a kind of binge eating disorder I think so. I ate well, healthy food for many days but I can't control myself for 1 or 2 days.

    i was in a calorie deficit for too long and exercised alot due to that i grew very weak and underweight and that's why I can't even exercise anymore till i get better so how can i stay thin and gain healthy weight at the time?

    I’m happy I’m losing some weight you just have to have self discipline and I stop eating after 6:00pm
    Drinking plenty of water and eating more veggies salads
    I would indulge in a nice meal once a month!

      @@DrMonaVand thanks Doc my stomacher is fine with garlic :) occasionally I take a teaspoon of whole cloves and a teaspoon of dried Papya seeds before bed and that can create a sourness now and then. I have just heard stories about garlic crossing the blood brain beariare and possibly causing too low blood pressure

    I thought starvation mode was a myth?? What happened to all the experts talking about the huge benefits of intermittent fasting, basically delaying your eating till later in the day? What happened to the whole

      Your not starving with intermittent fasting because you eat , it is just in a time window. Not eating for many days or weeks that is starvation. Anything over 3 days is excessive and the benefits decline significantly.

    So, as far as I understand, it's healthier to eat full fat products, like milk, yogurt etc... than low fat? Because the broken down fat molecule returns to its natural state once in our body anyway, right?

    I have oats before gym n once I m back..i have green gram one bowl..for lunch I have Millets..In between I m hungry I have dry fruits like almonds n wallnuts r stick to low calorie fruits...dinner have wheat bread...is this healthy way to loose weight...

    I’m supposed to start following a plant-based diet, due to my recent diagnosis of acid reflux .As a matter fact the doctor even suggested I could possibly get off my medication, if I follow this diet any suggestions on meals or snacks?

      C Pendleton time and patience :) the more you eat food without so much salt and other sauces the more you’ll get used to it and not even be able to tolerate salt as much

    I highly disagree with the statements about starvation mode made during 5:50. The show “naked and afraid” perfectly disproves this theory. The majority of the contestants starve and eat less than 300 calories a day for 21 days and every time, every contestant loses 25lbs or more by the end of the challenge.
    Anorexia is incredibly dangerous simply for the fact that the body does NOT go into starvation mode and start conserving it’s fat. If fat stuck to your body when you starved yourself; nobody would need food to live.
    Starving yourself won’t work long term because you’ll end up binging and gaining it back, or just eating regularly and gain it back. However- constricting calories to the point of starvation absolutely does result in weight loss. It will also result in malnutrition, but nonetheless- you will still lose weight.
    All of that being said- obviously starving yourself is not a good idea. If you’re trying to lose weight, do not use this “starvation mode” theory as an excuse to eat more, because you’re worried that eating too little won’t result in weight loss.
